3.8 Pours dark brown with low tanned head. Aromas of candy sugar, phenols, orange zest, spices, yeast, hints of licorise. Taste has sweet notes of prunes, raisins, candy sugar, oranges, spices, licorise
3.8 Draft @ Osteria Del Borgo, Roma. Bottle courtesy opened by the bar manager.
3.7 Bottle from Vinmonopolet Tønsberg. Pours brown to copper. Brown sugar, dates, figs, malt, caramel. Sweet. Light bitterness. Medium body and carbonation. Good.
3.6 33cl Bottle @ LaBIRRAtorium, Madrid, Spain. Dark amber colour with a thin white head. Aroma is malt, caramel, prune. Taste is malt, caramel, nuts, prune, hints of chocolate. Medium body, average carbonation.
3.9 Tap at Salon piva. Rich, complex intense mix of flavours, mostly malty - caramelly, chocolatey, fruity. Full bodied with lots of sweetness, which is however balanced by med-high bitterness. Some of the fruity character also seems to be fruit derived. Overall a really clean balanced rich tasty beer.
3.5 Initially a bit of grass, after some time more dried fruits and spices, amber with a thin ocher head, medium body, carbonation is soft, raisin, caramel, quite sweet, pleasant warming in the final...maybe a bit young but good.
3.8 Brown pour, slight tan head. Nose is dark fruit and some spice. Bittersweet. Middle is plums, raisins, dark malt, and mild dark sugar. Finish is mellow bittersweetness.
3.5 Flaska från SB. BBD 2017-10. Trevlig.
3.2 Shared bottle at Cardinal, Stavanger. Pours hazy brown with off-white head. Aroma of raisins, caramel, some chocolate. Tastes sweet with little bitterness. Medium bodied.
Amertume moyenne.
3.8 Draft sample at Bir&Fud Roma, Italy. 17.12.2016. Ciaone Alberto. Pour it dark amber color with small white head. Aroma figs, raisin, orange peel. Taste starts with sweet candy sugar, roasted nuts, spices, figs, plum just a pinch, finish with caramel note, nice Belgian feel all the time, really good hidden alcohol, medium sweetness, lightly bitter, medium body, sticky, average carbonation, long finish. Nice!
3.7 Aroma is surprisingly weak. Appearance may be a turn off for some given it is somewhat full of sediments. Doesnt bother me but it may bother some people. Taste is good. Its is orange infused and flavorful. Quiet tasty. Leaves a very smooth refreshing palate. Overall a good selection but it is somewhat pricey . A good brew to try and have occassionally.
3.5 Hazy orange with white head. Spicy, ginger bread and coriander. Sweet, thick, and cloying finish. Not bad!

TASTE: medium orange and raisin flavor, followed by a medium-low sweet and grainy malt background. medium-low bitterness with an almost dry finish. 4.0 Love love the smell the taste the aroma I want more where can i find this beer would really like to purchase more
4.0 On tap at Buskers in Rome-Italy with Mortlach. Chestnut skin pour, ivory foam with retention and many drafts. Nose: raisins, dates, dubbel character but fresher, cleaner and much better. Mouth: 9.5%? Wow! Fresh, clean, complexity of dry fruit with a sour pinch.
4.1 12.7 oz. bottle served in a tumbler- whelp, this is it... for now. I gotta quit smoking, and when I even have one beer, I gotta blow some smoke. See you fuckers on the other side... poured a barely transparent darkened brown color when held to a light source. Off tan ring about the vessel for a head, lively medium carbonation. Aroma of plums and raisins, handspun candi sugar, and tangerines. Hits the mouth with a medium body, malt is still present but is wrapped in a fine sugar coat with notes of molasses, middle has some great darkened fruits, finish is sweet but not cloying- it’s actually enjoyable for once! Good way to go out if this is my last beer- and least it sure in the fuck was one from TexUGHtuckyland!
3.4 Tap@Taphouse, Copenhagen - dark brown pour with off white head. Sweet malty with notes of dark dried fruit, caramel, some cocoa, light nutty, sweet malty finish.
3.9 Tap@Taphouse. Pours reddish dark brown with beige head. Aroma has dark malts, lightly roasted, dried fruits like plum, raisins, date and some spicy notes with coriander and quite complex. Taste is malty with bread, caramel, roasted notes and dried fruits with plum, raisins and dates yet spicy with coriander and some citrus hints. Finish is balanced malty, spicy and fruity and dry.
3.4 Vintage 2014 Edition. Bought at Systembolaget in Sweden in December 5, 2014. ABV: 9.5% Best before: October 2016. Iv’e had this in my beercellar for almost two years now and Birra del Borgo say: best before right now so it’s time to pop it open! The beer pours clear, mahogny with a lot of sediments. First I thought the sediments was because of the aging for 22 months but when I read others review this looks like it was there even fresh. A three finger high, yellow-white head with lacing that clings to the glass for a long time. Nose: Dried fruit, plum, raisin, orange, apricot, caramel, some vanilla, sweet syrup and balsamic vinegar. Taste: Again a lot of dried fruit, sweet caramel malt, plum, very well hidden ABV - no alcohol at all! Toffee, raisin, malt and nuts. Mouth: Medium body. Almost no carbonation. Sweet but dry and a complex body.
2.7 Shared 12.7 oz. bottle. Murky brown with an off-white head. Malty aroma with some dark fruits. Flavor is malt, dark fruits, brown sugar, faint citrus, spice, and lots of alcohol. Finish is largely malty and harsh due to the alcohol.
3.0 Aroma: lots of malt with a faint hint of orange; Appearance: cloudy dark brown with fluffy off white head that lingers; Taste: follows nose but slightly better than feared; still extremely malty with only a small amount of spice; Palate: heavy body with long, sweet finish; Overall: okay but will not get again.
4.4 Pours murky dark brown with a small beige head. Smells of orange and Belgian fruitiness, almost like a fruitcake. Taste is fruity, raisin and orange, bready, and subtle hints of warming booze. Medium-bodied with a rich texture and average mouth-carbonation, Birra del Borgo 25 Dodici finishes with a smooth alcohol warmth.
3.9 Bottle from Systembolaget. Smell of dried fruit and caramel. Similar taste, light toasted with raisins and some light orange peels. Nice!
3.4 Barwa ciemno-miedziana. Aromat słodki: suszone czerowne owoce, karmel. W smaku pełne, owoce w karmelu, niuanse cytrusowe.
3.5 Bottle from Systembolaget. Hazy amber/brown beer with a decent beige head. Fruity yeasty aroma, caramel, citrus, grapes, orange zest, some floral notes. Orange zest flavor, spicy, hay, citrus, yeast, some bread. Orange and pepper finish. Quite ok.
