La birra di partenza è la Re Porter a cui vengono aggiunte foglie di tabacco Kentucky Toscano, quello utilizzato per i celebri sigari azionali. Il risultato è una birra scurissima, nera, impenetrabile, con un naso molto ricco, che offre sensazioni di tostature, tabacco,speziato e mallo di noce.In bocca ritroviamo le tostature, una leggera acidità e il tabacco che regala toni pepati, quasi piccanti. Molto ampia, lunga, complessa, specie rispetto al basso grado alcolico.

Bottle from Beerhawk. A dark brown/black coloured pour with virtually no head to speak of. Smokey, chocolate aroma. Tastes quite smokey, slightly malty and some chocolate, a little thin overall but still quite acceptable.
Smoke on the nose. Smoke on the mouth. Smoke on the palate. Absolutely lovely.
Bottle from Crafty Bottle. Lincoln. Black colour with no real head. Aroma is smokey and light chocolate. Taste smokey and bitter. Slightly rough body.
Bevuta in bottiglia. Più che una porter ricorda una atout. Profumata e piacevole. Leggero amaro finale.
Appearance- Jet black in colour with large lasting brown foam.
Aromas- Roasted notes of malts and cocoa with touch of creamy notes as well as light acidity and caramel malt hints
Palate- medium body with thick mouth coating texture leaving developing roasted finish.
Taste- Sweet and smooth, notes of smoked and roasted malts, touch of cocoa and cream.
Overall- Nice, smooth rich porter, only thing to add would be bit more depth.
Partagé avec mon cher Appiantiqua dans nos petits verres Saveur bière.
Robe brun sombre surmontée d'une mousse trop abondante et persistante couleur café.
Le nez nous amène rapidement sur le café,épices et bonne levure bien dosée.
La bouche nous offre des saveurs douces et équilibrées nous laissant sur un palais bien agréable.
Un bon Porter Italien! 15/20
Partagée avec mon petit Kittenbieer dans un verre "Saveur bière".
Température de début 9 à 10°.
Robe brun sombre opaque et beaucoup trop de mousse couleur café.
Nez plutôt agréable : café, malts, une pointe levurée.
Goût : bonne texture et équilibre satisfaisant, la note de tabac est discrète.
Palais de longueur moyenne et plaisant sur la douceur.
Une bonne surprise !

Bottled 0,33L. Dark brown color, braced aspect with poor nut head volume of short duration. Intence and roasty aroma, notes of braced cereals, tobaco, coffee, cellar and clear mold. Modest prickly taste, pleasant roasty impression, braced cortex, smoke, tobaco, light ashed notes. Discreet bitter palate with light ashed and burned final.
Provata in bottiglia. All'occhio la birra si presenta nero scura con la schiuma densa e quasi cremosa; aprendola si sente subito un intenso odore di chicchi di caffè tostati e tabacco. Il sapore è semplice ma molto piacevole, spicca il sapore amaro da tostatura con una leggera nota di alcol sul finale; corposa e per niente gassata
Robe noir mazout, mousse très faible, qui se déploie à retardement (!). Nez café, très torréfié, franc, avec de notes fumées bien présentes. En bouche, c'est plus doux que ce qu'on imagine au nez, avec le fumé qui est là, mais douceâtre, bien mêlé au café, au corps... C'est un mélange détonnant, très original, et fort bien mené ! Amertume assez faible : même si les arômes de torréfié sont là, ils ne donnent pas de goût brûlé ou d'amertume. De même, le fumé n'est pas acide, ce qui donne l'impression d'un truc trèèès équilibré, avec des arômes originaux, délicats. Excellent !
Draft - Light Roast and cocoa. Jet brown with a rich light brown head. Light Smoke, soft and sweet with a decent finish.
Táp @ osteria. Hű mint hacsak egy istállóba gyújtottam volna rá valami jobbfelé tobakkóra és az egész hóbelebanc lángra kapott volna.
Bottle. Black pour. Aroma of chocolate, tobaco, ash, malt and licorice. Taste of ashy malt, chocolate, licorice, subtle smoke and tobaco. Solid, bit too much licorice flavor perhaps. Would have liked more smoke.
After the pour (BLACK) things go downhill. I love the dark tobacco taste and malty aroma, but it's a bit too sweet. More seriously, it's a bit thin, so it doesn't quite deliver the flavours it promises. Nearly a great beer.

The looks of the beer are very nice. It looks like a true porter should. The beer is pitch black on the eye. Even with a strong light behind it, still barely any lights goes trough it. I love a dark beer like this. On top of the beer a nice layer of soft, creamy light brown/greyish foam is formed. Foam retention is average. A minimal drape remains.
The smell of the beer is nice. There are some lovey malty aromas. The malt aromas are robust, strong and dark. There is a strong smokiness, together with some lovely roast. Especially the smoke is really distinct. Maybe the tobacco plays a role in this. I love this robust aroma. Hops give some herbal notes, but they are outnumbered by the lovely smokiness. Very nice.
The taste has the same lovely aspects. Sweet malts, with hints of plumb, and a nice smokiness that could be caused by the tobacco. This gives a nice bitterness and some savoury notes. Hops give nice bitters as well. The earthy spicy hops are great with the malts and tobacco. All in all, I really like this beer.
The palate is lovely. Full body, smooth, and medium carbonation. The finish of the beer is long. It has nice smokiness, but also a nice fruity thing. It is note extremely long though, and in the very end there is this slightly wry thingy. But, despite this, lovely amazing beer.
Botella. Una Porter correcta. Ni fu ni fa. La verdad es que esas botellas tan bien diseñadas presuponen más emociones.
Sweet, smoky aroma, the sweetness of the flavour combines well with tobacco flavour for a strong well balanced taste. I prefer a more roasted bitter finish from my porters but this was a unique, interesting porter worth trying.
Aus der Flasche am 2016-05 getrunken. Noch so ein schräges Teil. EIn Porter mit Tabak. Kalt fällt ein schräger Geschmack auf, den ich als Nichtraucher gar nicht einstufen kann. Später als das Bier etwas wärmer wurde, kommen die Röstnoten deutlicher durch und bilden überraschenderweise ein interessante Kombination mit dem "schrägen" Geschmack. Ich sag mal ein spannendes Bier.
330ml bottle from The Grumpy Goat, Reading. Very dark brown colour with small tan head. Big sweet dark malt, tobacco, smokiness, dark fruits, mocha, black olives, dark chocolate, burnt brown sugar, light gravy granules.
33 cl bottle at Eataly, Illum, Copenhagen. Near black with a dense, lightly tanned head. Fruity aroma with caramel, chocolate, coffee, licorice, tobacco and roasted malts. Taste is light sweet. Medium to full body with a creamy texture and soft carbonation. Finishes drying with fruity-roasted notes. Lovely Porter.
Another decent bottle from Birra Del Borgo. Dark, almost black with little head. Nice aroma with a touch of malt and chocolate. Sweetish taste, interesting palate with tobacco in the aftertaste. Good one.
Bottiglia. Il gusto al naso viene catturato da liquirizia e pane nero. L'intensità olfattiva è elevata e il modo in cui permane è apprezzabile. Il cappello di schiuma color marrone castagno resiste abbastanza. La grandezza delle bollicine è medio-fine. Bollicine fini formano il perlage. La carbonazione è persistente. Il colore è scuro impenetrabile. Il corpo è strutturato non pesante. Il dolce è medio a pareggiare l'amaro medio. L'intensità gustativa è elevata. La costanza gustativa è buona. Il gusto è godereccio. Le sensazioni boccali che permangono sfociano in un finale di pronta beva. Il finale è pulito e complesso. Il retrogusto è intenso. Al gusto vengono donati toni di miele, cioccolato, caffè, liquirizia, frutta secca, agrumi e pepe.
Bottle in mixed case from Beer Hawk. Black with a thin beige head. Coffee and raisin aroma. Malty taste with stone fruit sweetness. A pretty standard porter.
The beer has got a deep black colour with a steady head and medium Body. Aroma of chocolate and malt. Taste of chocolate, malt, Woods and Torf. Intense finish.

Piana drobna trwała zdobi szkło. Kolor czarny. W aromacie nuty palone, lekko słodkie, dzikie bretowe, jest też tytoń. Smak jest pełnia słodowa, nuty palone, lekko owocowe, przyprawowe, ostre (tytoń), goryczka średnia ściągająca, długa, alkohol ukryty. Tytoń ledwie odczuwalny w smaku, przypomina trochę tutaj efekt utlenienia, mokry karton. Piwo dobre
Dark brown with a medium sized, dense, beige head. Little lacing. Aroma of dark chocolate, bread, grass and yeast. Slightly bitter with a dry aftertaste.
Piwo koloru heban z beżową obfitą, trwałą pianą. Aromat kawy, czekolady, orzechów plus tytoń. W smaku również odnajdziemy kawę, czekoladę lekka goryczka i posmak tytoniu. Ciekawy porter
From a beer hawk mystery case. Pours black with a very thick head. Little aroma. Nice milk stout.
Bottle from the Offie, Leicester. Very dark brown, almost opaque with a tiny ring of tan head. Blackberries, molasses, wood smoke, a touch of tobacco on the nose. Sweetish taste, heavy on berry notes, with a savoury smoky note just at the finish. Overripe blueberries and more tobacco in the aftertaste. Oily body. A pleasingly complex porter.
Bottle. Pours hazy very dark brown with rocky but stable light tan head. Clear aroma of coffee, roast and malt, with touches of yeast and hints of sourish tobacco leaves. Bitter, roasty and coffeelike flavour with malty and estery notes and some sourish tobaccolike hints. Dry and leafy aftertaste. Decent, especially for smokers.
