Birra Moretti alla Siciliana

Birra Moretti alla Siciliana

Brewed with Zagara (orange blossom).

Mediocre macro lager with a super moderate orangeish hint in the finish. Nah.
2.8 Bottle 50 cl. Clear Golden, solid white head. Interesting fruity nose, apparently cox orange apples. Medium body, sweet malty - a little too sweet for my taste. 020919
2.3 The beer has got a clear golden color with a small head and thin body. Aroma of citrus and malt. Taste of citrus, malt, barley and bread. Thin finish.
2.7 Pomarańcze w aromacie i smaku. Wysycenie średnie, poza dodatkiem bazowe piwo jest dość nijakie, lekko ziołowe, ot typowy euro-lager z miłym dodatkiem.
2.9 Shared 500 ml bottle. Clear golden colour, moderate white head. Aroma of orange blossom, malts and dust. Citric mouthfeel. Moderately citric flavour, slightly dry, moderate hops. Fair enough to drink on a hot summer's day, but not a memorable beer.
2.6 Shared bottle at local tasting. Pours hazy weak golden with a small creamy white head. Aroma is shy malty. Taste is light dry, flowery hops, weak malty sweet finish.
2.5 From bottle at hotel room in Milano 13.07.19. Clear golden. White head. Floral aroma and taste of sweet malt, sugar and moderate hops. Quite sweet.
3.1 500ml bottle at Benedictos in Worcester. Clear late straw coloured body. Stable withe head, spotty lacing. Restrained smell of herbal hops and grain. Taste of floral hops, herbs, and grainy malts. Mild honeyed sweet ending. Medium bodied. Soft on the swallow. Okay follower to my pizza. (Worcester 28.06.2019).
3.4 Bottle brewed in Italy. Smallish, frothy bubbling head. Grassy aroma with orange blossom undertones. Golden colour with many rising bubbles. More than moderate carbonation fades to reveal a nice grassy taste in the style of Heineken that leads into a finish where the malt entwines with the orange blossom. Too carbonated for me, and without the carbonation, the taste profile is all on the back end and thus becomes disjointed. A pity - otherwise very good. The above average alcohol content is noticeable but inoffensive.
2.2 Bottle from a supermarket in Sicily. Pours blond with a thin white head. The taste is lemony lager.
3.8 Bottle from Morrisons. Very different - quite a strong orange taste to it but I like it if its served cold enough.
!? 😞 ) 26.04.19
3.3 500ml bottle. Pours clear golden color. Aroma of grain, tangerine. Flavor of orange, grain. Easy drinking. Quite nice beer.
2.2 Bottle. Pours clear and sparkling gold with a large, frothy and bubbly white head, medium retention. Medium-light orange zest, medium grainy and husky malt, light lingering hop bitterness, and a dry finish. Light body and moderate carbonation.
2.5 Pours a golden color with a tiny, rough, white head. Aroma of hoppyness with light fruitiness (orange).
3.2 Served in a dumpy bottle. Golden amber colour with a small white head. Essentially nothing on the nose. The front of the bottle gives no indication of the flavour. The back simply says "with Sicilian orange flowers". But this does not do it justice- this is more towards an alcopop than a Belgium orange beer. The orange flavour dominates everything else with a touch of bitterness. I don't get much orange blossom (which is what I assume an orange flower is) but lots of peel and fresh juice. Despite being unexpectedly flavoured, it is rather nice. I'd drink it again but I think you'd have to be in the mood!
2.1 Bottled 0,50L. Pale yellow golden color, much limpid aspect with light bubbly and escaping white head. Straw and moisted cereals aroma, herb and bit spice nose. Medium prickly taste, modest cereals, wheat and dampen straw body. Sweetish grains final.
2.8 Enjoyed: Poured from a bottle into a flute glass. Appearance: Clear golden colour, medium head. Aroma: Malt, dusty grains, hint of citrus. Palate: Light body, watery, medium carbonation with soft bubbles. Taste: Malt, grains, hops, gently bitter and dry aftertaste, maybe hint of orange. Overall impression: Interesting, drinkable and refreshing.
3.5 It pours a golden color and has a sweet taste with fruity citrus notes. Very good for the price.
2.9 From Attleborough Co-op. Notes dated 22/01/18. Better than the lager which tastes like glue..because it contains glue. The last UK supermarket sample I tested anyway. HTF did this one slip through the net? It's actually OK. All the adjuncts and nastiness masked by lemonade and shandy notes. Fragrant Fairy Liquid and Radler flavour. Nose of peel, jelly, Terry's and essence of fruit. Almost Belgium. Marmalade and white pepper. Not just fizzy piss.
3.7 Refreshing and good one for an industrial blonde. Subtle taste of agrume and fresh Mediterranean herbs. Nice.
3.0 The orange blossoms give an interesting taste, which reminded me of an energy drink, but without sweetness. Not something I would want to drink every day, but an interesting change and not bad for a fruit beer in my opinion, since the beer character is not lost. Unlike some other fruit beers, this one is actually a beer.
2.8 Bottle, shared wtih Hrabren & Sandi ST. Clear godlen body, white head - not surprised at all. Perfumey citric aroma, slightly radlery at times, but not that rough... a touch of what seemed like alcohol for a second. Dry taste, vaguely citrusy-flowery/herbal, sligthly peppery perhaps, sweetish, but quite dry/lean body-wise. Surprisingly... okay. Not the greatest beer you'll ever try, but for a macro lager with aromas/fruit, this is well executed stuff.
2.8 0.5 l bottle, thanks Marko. Shared with him and Anna God. Clear golden, small off-white head. Aroma is citrusy, juicy, pine needles, a bit fake, like a mouthwash, malts underneath. Light malty flavours, no more citruses. Light body, no finish.
4.2 Lekker!
1.8 Bottle. Pours clear, yellow with medium. Aroma is lager, hints of sweetness. Flavour is lager, cloyingly sweet. Meh.
Ciekawe i smaczne.
2.6 Clear pale yellow colour, minimal white head; aroma of perfume notes, some elderberry and grains; taste of elderberry syrup, malty sweetness and some orange peel oils; drinkable
