Birra Moretti La Rossa

Birra Moretti La Rossa

Birra Moretti La Rossa is a double bock beer produced using high quality 100% malted barley, giving it a rich sweet taste and an intense fragrance of roasted malt. The amber colour that characterizes the beer, comes from kind of malt used in the recipe (malt is dried, roasted barley). Another key ingredients is hops, the variety used is particularly aromatic, giving a characteristic bitter aftertaste and a delicate fragrance to the beer. The Master Brewers advise a service temperature between 10° and 12° C.

3.2 Bottle from Yamaya. Nose of roast malt, a touch scorched and rough on the tongue. Clear reddish-brown color. Flacors are caramel, some unusual hops, red fruit, and dark sugar. Thin body, for a bock. A bit too sweet, perhaps, but not terrible.
3.2 rich and sweet double bock made from 100 barley. Low carbonation and smooth mouth feel.
2.7 Botella 330ml Color rojizo,transparente,espuma moderada,retencion media.Aroma malta tostada,caramelo,cereales,bizcocho.
3.2 On tap.
4.0 Review: 33cl bottle of Birra Moretti La Rossa: 7.2% vol. Not my first time trying a Birra Moretti beer, I tried their famous pale lager a while back and found it to be very pleasurable, crisp and clean and oh so smooth. I liked it, so I just know that the La Rossa won’t disappoint. This beer also has won numerous awards, including gold medals in both the 2007 and 2010 World Beer Championships. 7.2%, yes but in a small bottle no……. On pour getting a ruby brown looking beer (La Rossa is “The Red” in Italian) with a nice frothy head. Looks good. some light carbonation going on. Appetizing on the eye. The smell is not too bad, a light toffee and caramel kind of aroma with roasted malts, nice but faint. Typical of a bock, but not a strong smelling beer. For the taste, initially it is hitting the spot, very nice and straight off the bat this looks and tastes good. Getting a lovely caramel flavour, with the barley malts, the hops are mild and not intrusive, and generally this is quite pleasant to drink. Flavour lingers long in the mouth. Nice and relaxing, one to saviour and enjoy over a long evening by the sofa. Chocolate and dark fruits. Served cold, this is good. Clean, very solid and the toffee flavours are gorgeous. As it’s a bock can feel the alcohol, so the edge is there alright. I know if I had a few of these I’d be pretty drunk………strong. Liked it, very relaxing, very soothing to drink and will definitely try some of these bad boys again.
Buona davvero.
3.0 Birra poco costosa preferita.
3.8 Served at home from The Sub. Tight foamy off white head stayed on a reddish brown still body. Malt, tea & spiced aroma. Medium to full bodied, creamy & smooth over the tongue with a clean back. Malt, demerara, milk, berries, spices & caramel tastes. Very nice...
3.4 Clear ruby appearance. Aroma is cherry, malt and herbal. Flavour is bitter, malt, cherry, sweet and herbal.
3.4 Bottle at Italian Eatery (ie) celebrating the new year with blonderedhead and Aunt Donna. Caramel color with eggshell full finger head. Aroma is pretty mild but leans heavily on malty, cereal notes. Subtle caramel and toffee. Taste is a pretty standard doppelbock with malts running the show. Caramel and some dark fruit. Not overly sweet. Feels very much like a fall/winter option. Not too bad.
3.0 Bottle at an Italian restaurant. Malty sweetness with a malty aroma, lots of caramel and toffee. Sweet with a rich and filling maltiness. Body is medium. Nice enough.
2.2 Pours clear dark brown with a thick tan head. Aroma of burnt caramel. Taste has toffee, rich malt with a slight ferrous aftertaste. Palate has much of the same, emphasis on the intensity of the malt. Smokey. Good.
3.4 From 33 cl. bottle. Pours a clear cola with a small tan head. Aromas are of caramel. Flavors are moderately sweet toffee.
0.5 classica birra industriale, sentori di lattina, mais cotto e verdura cotta.
2.3 Intense color and good clearness, white head, nice caramel aroma and taste, a bit sour in the finish..average..not bad for an industrial doppelbock.
2.9 Turin. Overly strong and heavy handed
3.2 Aroma is medium malty and light roasty. It smells like caramel, honey, chocolate and red fruits. Clear, dark red color with a medium sized, frothy, off-white head. Flavor is medium to heavy sweet and roasty. It tastes like caramel, chocolate, honey, nuts and red berries. Body is medium, mouthfeel is thin. Finish is short and roasty sweet. I do not really like it, quite industrial.
1.8 Csokis
3.2 brunaktig, karamell, mørkt korn, noe tørket frukt, litt tynn for stilen..........
3.3 330ml bottle. Pours a clear brown with an off-white head. Good lacing. Scents of malt slightly vegetal. Tastes are sweet malt with a light sour finish that is quite short. Mild carbonation and a crisp mouthfeel. Okay but the style usually has more to it.
5.0 Smooth, rich, chocolatey with no aftertaste. Best children in the freezer or ever ice LOL. The only beer that I drink for the past 25 years
3.3 From notes 1/28/13: Pours a clear ruby brown producing a frothy, variously bubbled, moderately lasting, light tan head that leaves minimal lacing. Aroma is malt forward with sweet and toasted malts, dark crusty bread, plums and dried dark fruits with hoppy hints of grass and herbs. Taste is sweet, dark fruit heavy to raisin and prune, dark toasted bread, vinous hints, faint anise, alcohol spice and warmth with a light bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium-full bodied, slightly slick/oily, lively with spice and warmth.
3.6 Pours a brown-copper color with off white head. Sweet toasted malt aroma and taste. Notes: on tap at Pizzaria da Attilio, Napoli Jun ‘19
3.6 A: Dark amber with a small off-white head N: Amber malts and a hint of bitterness T: Full of amber malt flavour and hints of brandy warmth. P: Medium O: Quite tasty
3.1 From a bottle in a glass at an Italian restaurant. Pours medium brown. Nutty medium-bodied flavor. Touches of roastiness and hazelnut. Clean slightly watery finish. Higher ABV than it tastes. Decently well crafted but a little lacking on the flavor front.
Voto personale 7.5 /10
