3.7 Pours hazy light orange with a white head, citrus fruit aroma and a light pineapple and lemon fruity taste with a mild hop kick, smooth, tap.
3.7 16 ounce can. Hazy pale gold color. Large dense white head. Sharp citrus hop aroma. Herbal, minerally notes. Dank citrus flavor rover a biscuit malt base. Notes of green onion and pine. A touch of lime zest finish.
3.5 Very hazy golden and straw coloured body with a deep, thick, three to four centimetre tall pure white head that stays afloat nicely. Aroma of grass, citrus, hay and a ton of cleanser-like bitterness from the hops with some nice malts and a dash of flowers and grain noticeable, all with a very mild sweetness coming out as well. Medium-bodied; Very strong and pungent dry hoppy notes come through with a deep fresh-cut grass and herbal element and a grapefruity and lemony kick and a tiny bit of sweetness towards the finish. Aftertaste shows the grassy and dry characteristics with a lot of bitterness from the grapefruit, floral and grassy notes, but also some supportive malts and grain towards the end, but again, without any sweetness at all. Overall, a nice unfiltered IPA that has a great look and a super dry, grassy, perfumey and floral bite with a lot of bitterness, but this is very far removed from a typical New England IPA (despite it being from Maine of course) in terms of the profile and hop aspects that make this enjoyable, but not akin to the style. Nice to sample and a worthy beer, but not something that everyone needs to go out and try to find. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from the Department of Beer and Wine in Alexandria, Virginia on 19-June-2020 for US$4,67 sampled at my house on the nineteenth anniversary of September 11th, here a few feet from the Pentagon, on 11-September-2020.
3.9 Hazy gold pour. With thin foam. Grapefruit nose. Grapefruit flavor with a hint of vanilla and nutmeg. Medium carbonation
3.6 Grapefruit and orange nose. Hazy golden, thick sticky head. Grapefruit, lilly. Medium body, easy carbonation.
3.8 Hazy golden orange pour with a fluffy white head and lots of lacing ..... aroma of oranges, grapefruit, pineapple, pine, lemon/grass and dank .... taste is of dank hops, orange, grapefruit, lactose sugar, pineapple, lemon/grass and pine .... dry, bitter hopped on the back end and into the finish ..... finish is dry, bitter and has lingering orange, lemon and grapefruit .... sessionable and light .... nice brew not overly sugary ... drinks more like a regular ipa which is a good thing
3.9 16oz can at home. Hazy golden orange pour with a large white head, good retention and lots of sticky lacing. Dank orange and lemon, scallion followed by tropical and pineapple notes, touch of vanilla, grassy and herbal hops. Medium soft carb, medium body, soft smooth texture. Herbal citrus finish. Very enjoyable.
3.8 $3.80 pint can, WW. Hazy gold with a large, soft white head. Citrus in the nose: orange and grapefruit mostly. Flavor is orange peel, orange juice, light floral hops, light green grasses. Good flavor.
3.5 Growler from Premier Gourmet. Pours a cloudy golden colour with modest-sized white head. Aroma is citrus, dankness, a little funkiness and wheat. Flavour is candied orange, pineapple, mellow dank character and some wheat. Medium bodied and medium carbonation. A little odd in the aroma but good overall.
3.8 On tap at Fortnight in downtown Providence, RI. Pours moderately cloudy peach-color with 1.5 inches of cream-colored head. good retention. Aroma is grass, dank herbs, bit of wild onions, bit of orange juice, touch of nectar floral sweetness (balanced less dry in a good way here). Not overly intense aroma. Body is medium-weight, watery, bit starchy and oily, moderate, fine carbonation, light burn, velvety. Flavor is green herbs, slightly dank (less onion though) wet grasses, pineapple tops, touch of chalk, bit of grapefruit, bit of pear. A nice balanced medley of green and slightly herbal fruits, slightly dank herbs and grasses, and nice nectar sweetness. Really liking the overall balance, but not a bomb!
4.5 Cloudy light golden with a thin foamy white head. Big luscious hop aroma loaded with floral and juicy resins. Smooth pale Malty flavor that’s soft and loaded with lemony sherbet and leafy hop juice and a light bit of resin. Lovely and flavorful.
3.5 Draft @ Mekong - Pours hazy yellow with a white head. More bitter and less juicy than is typical for the style. I wouldn’t have known it was a NEIPA from the taste, though it does look like one.
3.8 16oz (thx, Alex M.!) @home. Appearance: hay golden with a white head. Aroma: tropical fruits with some vanilla notes. Taste: along the same lines with some dusty and grassy notes and piney bitterness. Overall: pretty good.
4.2 From tap at Tørst, Brooklyn. Juicy fruity hop aroma with tropical notes, mango, passion fruit, citrus, orange, some oniony dankness, oats, touch of pine. Flavour is mild sweet and medium bitter. Body is medium. Rich and balanced, lovely sweetish juice aroma. Substantial, indeed.
4.0 Cloudy yellow. Nice, white head. Tropical fruits in the aroma with some light vegetable notes. Pleasant and sufficient hoppy bitterness in taste.
3.8 A hazed yellow ipa with a thick creamy lacing white head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with loads of citrusy floral hops, tropical fruit, very nice and rich. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity malt with loads of citrusy floral hops, grapefruit pulp, light tropical fruits, very nice and smooth. On tap at Bottlecraft, SD.
3.7 Draft at World of Beer in Short Pump, VA The ale poured a cloudy amber color with a white foamy head and much lacing. pours a cloudy pale golden with a small white head. The floral hops on the nose. The taste had pine resin mixed with lemon. The ale has a medium body with soft carbonation. The hop bitterness mostly affected the back of the mouth. Each swallow ended cleanly.
3.7 Draft. Hazy amber beer with a cream head. Light grapefruit aroma. Grapefruit and light tropical fruit flavor. Medium bodied. Good bitterness. Grapefruit and light tropical fruit linger with light pine.
4.0 16oz can from Eric. Thanks for the mule dude. Hazy yellow with whispy white head. A little bitter aroma and touch on the finish. Tropical fruit mid palate. Solid and entertaining throughout with the right balance of fruit and bitterness.
4.0 not my taste . But awesome
3.8 16oz can at home. Pours a hazy light orange almost deep yellow. Medium off white head. Interesting aroma of tropical fruit and red fruits. Flavour is grapefruit, red fruit, tropical fruit. Nice bitter finish.
3.5 Plus hazy orange with medium head. Aroma: citrus fruit. Taste: dry, citrussy
3.3 Can shared with Linh, Brendan and Paul. Pours a deep, golden orange body with thick white lace. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with notes of citrus, sweet fruit, melon, spice and soft alcohol heat.
3.0 Pours a slightly hazy , I don't know, beer color from a can. Sigh, I'm getting a little fucking tired of these hazy IPAs, and I'm actually from New England. Fruity nose and flavor? yup. Perfectly fine beer, nothing to write home about, barely enough interest to write something for AB InBev to mine.
3.6 16-ounce can pours milky yellow with no head or lacing. Aroma: mango, pine. Flavor: grapefruit, orange, lemon, yeast, mango, pine. Mouthfeel: medium-bodied, creamy finish.
4.1 Sublet citrus smell with more citrus taste. Unfiltered, beautiful yellow orange appearance. Varies in taste as swallowed.
3.6 Draught @ Milk & Hops - Chelsea (5/6/19). Cloudy orange with very small frothy off-white head, sharp unripe mango/stinky cheese-citrus aroma, adequate carbonation, medium bitter unripe mango-citrus peel taste, thin body, long medium bitter dry finish. Interesting flavor profile and a dry finish.
3.9 5/2019 Wegmans cooler. $18 / 4pack of 16 oz. Pricey, though a limited visit to Ithaca. A single case in the cooler. Keep them coming! An unusual hopping of this brew is quite noticeable and pleasant. Light color, hazy with light head. Yum
3.7 Mikkeller beer celebration Copenhagen 2019 Mikkeller beer celebration Copenhagen 2019
3.4 Draft. Hazed pour, another halfway decent neipa, fresh cut grass, juicy spicy hops, its decent but still too malty and missing key bitterness.
