A light and refreshing pale beer. Slightly fruity with delicate hopping to balance. Bottom-fermented and well-conditioned for exceptional smoothness.

2.3Golden with no head; clean apple aromas; creamy mouthful with crisp palate.
1.521st May 2015: BJ’s Laguna Hills outlet. Part of an eight glass flight. This was by far the worst beer of the eight. Very pale golden body, snow white head. tasted and had the aroma of a radler/shandy/lager and lemonade type drink. Exceedingly fizzy too. Kolsch is supposed to be light, subtle flavoured and refreshing in nature: not too sure what the brewer was trying to do with this.
2.2Had at their brewpub in San Antonio. All of their beers tasted thin and watery. Would have like much more malt flavor.
3.3(tap) clear pale yellow colour with a small white head; aroma of sweet fruit, champagne; balanced and refreshing flavour with a long, very light bitter finish
2.9Clear yellow, small white lacing foam head. Weak aroma, like normal with a Kölsch, tasted perfect with my rack of ribs. (Houston 201501)
2.4Keg at BJs, Gainesville, VA. Clear golden with a thin fizzy head. Aroma of grain and grassy hops. The taste matches. Thin bodied, high carbonation.
2.3No aroma. Clear yellow, headless. Hay flavor. Watery mouthfeel. Good enough flavor, but it just doesn’t come together very well. Worse than their light lager. Kolsch just isn’t very good when it’s mass produced.
2.8Tap at the Westwood location.
I wanted another beer, and I didn’t have high hopes for anything, so a "kolsch" seemed like less work than the others. Probably correct -- very transparent, unobjectionable, easy-going beer, modestly sweet but none of the intrigue of a good kolsch, no fruit notes, nothing.
2.1"very mild and uncomplicated beer. nothing bad here, but too boring for my taste. didn’t expect much and didn;t receive it. pale yellow in color with a hint of weet malt and hops in the aroma and flavor, slightly bitter finish."
2.7Tap. Light yellow pour. Light hay aroma. Slight hop. Citrus sour light body. Ok
2.8On tap - light golden color, no head or lacing, has a light fruity Kolsch aroma. Refreshing.
2.4Another day, another perfectly acceptable and serviceable BJs brewery beer. Good not great, bit it will do.
2.9Pretty refreshing. Faint pale malt and grassy aroma. Light golden color. Filtered and clear. Crisp clean palate with high carbonation. Pretty lightweight. Flavor had a hop presence up front that was surprising. More light malt flavors and finished clean. Easy to drink with food.
2.6Wife ordered this draft at their restaurant in Frederick, MD. Served in a footed pilsner glass, bubbly clear pale yellow color with white head. Aroma of pale malt sweetness. Taste has more going with bready malt, some graininess and light grassy hop note. Light body, moderate carbonation, light, crisp with clean finish. Straight forward Kolsch.
1.7on tap at the brew pub in Vienna, VA. Pours a clear light yellow color with a short fast to go white head. Aroma is first and foremost corn, and then some candy. Taste is a very watery corn and little else. Palate is again very watery. A horrible example of the style.
2.6Rated on 12-09-2009 at Greenwood, IN location. This draft beer forms a small head with a long retention, transparent/slightly hazy pale yellow body, no visible carbonation, and spotty amounts of lacing. The Aroma is malty and sweet. The Taste is semi-sweet, malty, semi-crisp, hint of hops, and finishes dry. The Palate is clean and smooth and this beer is medium bodied. In conclusion, this beer does not have a lot of flavor or character. It is a dull and boring beer to drink and rate and it does not leave me wanting it again.
2.8On tap at the Tallahassee location: bready, malt, sweet corn. Little metallic vibe, floral, meh. - 5.6
2.07/15/2012. On tap at one of the restaurants. Pale yellow with a white head. Watery and bland with corn flavors.
2.6(Backlog) On tap. The look is orange in color small off white to cream colored head. The smell is malts, cereal, grains, sweet, and ok. The taste is the same.
2.6Draft flight 10/28/10 (Tucson-Broadway)-Pours a slightly hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma of malt and hops. Taste of malt, hops, and bitterness. This light bodied brew is not my style but still ok.
2.3Gold
Nose is spiced with coriander and Saaz
Full body. Astringent lager bitterness. Minor orange
2.8from tap a Clear yellow with white head. Aroma of grain. A very basic beer.
2.8@ BJ’s Brewhouse. Hazy pale amber with a 1/2" head and stripes of lace. Wheat with lemon grass and light citrus. Not much change through the palate; light bittering to finish. No big deal, but quite easy to drink.
2.4On draft at the Colorado Springs location. Clear yellow with white head. Mostly some grain on the nose and palate ... Their version of a macro... Just OK.
2.0Pour on tap at the brewery, clear yellow pour, thin white head, aroma has cardboard, grain, biscuit, sllght grass notes in there as well. Taste is a mix of cracker, grain, cardboard, slight corn, finishing slightly sweet.
2.95-6 oz mini pils flute draft at the BJs Brewhouse in Coral Springs, Florida. The pour is a mostly clear golden with a small white head. The aroma is soft herbal grain. The taste is the grain, along with a bit of diacetyl. There is some herbal floral flavor around as well. The palate is light to medium bodied with pretty low carbonation and a dirtyish aftertaste.
3.2On tap at the Hillsboro location. Pours a light copper yellow color with a small white head. A light nose of lemon and honey a bit of biscuit. The flavor was earthy, clean, some citrus, low bitterness, mellow earthy and sweet.
1.0On tap at BJs. Really a poor excuse for a beer. Comparable to most macro brews in the U.S. Not much there.
2.2On tap at BJs. Pours a pale golden color without much head. Some malt flavor but not much else.
2.6On tap at OKC location. Pours a clear light yellow with a white head that dissipates completely. Aroma has a mixture of grain, bread and grassy hops. Flavor starts with sweet grain and hay and finishes with some wet grass.
