3.4 BB 16 04 20. From a bottle poured a clear mahogany with a light tan collar that laced very poorly. Aroma subtly of vanilla; slightly sweet. Taste is roasted with sweet vanilla. Medium body. Smooth with a short sweet finish.
4.0 Smag af toffee og chokolade. Der er også en fin smag fra havren, og let humle. Stor sødme også, klassisk oatstout.
3.5 On tap at SBH. Black colour, beige head. Aroma of cold coffee and cream, toffee, light fruity. Flavour is medium sweet, caramel, coffee, cream, some dried fruits, bitter finish, roast. Light bodied. Nice, classic.
2.0 (torréfié, pas grandiloquente, néant, oatmeal sans oat (milk stout sans milk, etc.), 7%-néant, imperial ??)
3.9 A very nice brown aleish stout. Reminded me of Brew Dogs Hopped Up Brown Ale. The ABV is spot on. No flaws in this rounded balanced beer.

3.7 Black, not terribly thick looking, topped by a nice, fluffy tan head. Malty aroma, some coffee and a bit of licorice. Sweet, dark malty taste, not too roasty, finish has a slight bitter hop bite. Medium body, low carbonation, it's kind of airy with a nice rich mouthfeel.
4.2 A very pleasant stout but with strength and warms the throat and belly. Great winter night beer
2.6 330 ml. bottle split by two. I enjoyed “Black Isle Hibernator III” but this one didn’t appeal at all to me. Pours flat no head ruby red wine hued black. Nose is pure soy sauce, umami, varnish, medicinal roots. Unpleasant flat soy sauce, varnish, liquorice, soy sauce, lacking carbonation medicinal roots unpleasant lingering affair. Yikes.

3.8 Keg, Brewdog Shepherds Bush. Pours black/brown with big tan head. Aroma of porridge, coffee, yeast, cognac. Taste is dry, lots of roast, booze, some dark fruit. It's thin for the abv but dangerously drinkable as a result. Very good.
3.6 Bottle @ Mig & Ølsnedkeren, 7%. Very dark brown with tiny beige head. Aroma is roasted malt, chocolate, caramel and a little bread. Flavour is roasted malt, chocolate, caramel, little ash, sweet, little coffee, hop, little liquorice and a little bitter.

3.5 @ Thomas Tallis Alehouse, Canterbury. Dark brown colour, beige head. Coffee, roasted malts, oats. Rather lively carbonation. Some oaky flavours. Not bad.
3.7 Bottle from JK Fine Foods. The beer looks the business as darkest brown with a creamy light tan head. Spot on. Nose is fantastic too. Treacle with the roast and fudge with the sweet. The overall impression is a smooth creaminess. Nothing harsh, just deep and layered. The flavours with the smooth cream and roast gives the impression coffee is involved here. There’s loads of lovely chocolate also. The palate let me down though. It felt too light with an medium to full body and a bit to fizzy. But it gets so much better. Once this drink acclimatises to the room (and I assume its correct serving temperature) it comes alive. The smooth roast character with chocolate and creaminess bowled me over. Next time I’ll let it breath before I inhale it.
3.5 Bottled, 500ml at The Cambridge Bar, Edinburgh. Very dark brown with cream head. Quite a rich, darkly roasted malty stout, fruity, peachy, apricot showing the alcohol a little. Late bitterness from the malts. Good.
3.6 Lots of Roast , coffee, Dark chocolate,
4.0 Deep black body. Lightly brown creamy head. Deep roasted malts aroma with smokey, vanilla, little red fruit, ... Moderately bitter, moderately sweet flavour. Very interesting.
4.2 Keg at Black Isle Bar. Inverness. Pours pitch black with medium off white head. Big aroma of chocolate, oak, coffee, dried fruits and licorice. Taste is quiet sweet, with chocolate and prune and oak. Some porridge taste as well on the palate. Moderate hop bitterness but suitable for the style. Roast malts and some hop on the aftertaste. Alcohol is carried well but provides a nice lift. Overall a great example of an oatmeal stout.
3.8 Bottle. Pours opaque deep brown to black with modest well-lacing ivory head. Rich malts & oats on nose. Moderately roasty. Hints of coffee. Bit vinous. Medium body, smooth mouth feel. Medium dry to medium sweet taste. Pleasantly roasty, vinous, light fruitiness. The alcohol contain is perfectly hidden. Light bitterness on ending. This is an excellent stout. Just don’t put it into the category of impies.
3.0 Bottle shared by Jan thanks. Short grey head. Dark almost black color. Mild roasted malty aroma. Sweet and malty caramell taste. Mild bitterness and body.
