3.6 Pours cloudy yellow-orange with some foam, light wheat aroma with some sweetness, honey is obvious upfront with the standard Blue Moon taste as the base, drinkable, bottle.
2.8 Bottle from IGA, Cookeville, Tennessee. Clear golden with a carbonation and a small head. Crisp and suitable for summer sipping, although not blessed with a huge amount of wheat beer character. The honey is more stated providing the best of its nose, and a smoothness in its texture.
3.0 Bottle pour into pint glass from Hannaford. Appearance is clear, pale yellow with minimal sparkle, ephemeral fizzy white head and no lacing. Aroma is caramel malts, brown sugar, honey. Taste is like aroma with late light bitter. Palate is light bodied with sticky texture, fizzy carbonation and abrupt finish. Overall, sweetness is pretty much all that is here. Disappointing.
1.4 Bottle - Pours pale gold. No aroma. Flavor of malted grain, cough drop, skunk, and ...Ya know, the bottle I got was frozen and probably old. Not a great representation of the entire batch, I’m sure. Will re-rate another time.
2.9 Clean gold color with no head retention at all. Crisp light body of dry wheat base made refreshingly smashable with a touch of honey.
0.9 Where’s the honey? golden, medium bitterness, bitter, medium body, Worst Honey wheat I have tried
2.8 Kroger bottle, of course. Clear gold, small white head. Grass, wheat, minor honey nose. Flavor is corn chips, toast, grass, honey.
3.1 Bottle. Bright amber with ivory foam. Wheat bread, light toast, herbal aromas. Medium bodied. Sweet herbal honey, wheat bread flavors---tangy drying finish___not bad.
3.0 Twist cap 12 ounce bottle poured to glass pale light amber liquid, big white foam dissipates quickly but lingers, hazy Nose: not a lot, aroma of cinnamon low bitterness tart lively carbonation Good beer, ok to repeat but not look for BA RB Drank: November 24, 2016 9:03 PM
2.6 Clear golden with a small head. Floral aroma with notes of honey. Malty and sweet in the palate, no hops detected, no signs of wheat either. Strong notes of METAL. Bought by mistake as I knew what Blue Moon is capable (or uncapable) of, I would say that it isn’t garbage but still...
3.0 From a bottle. Not terrible, not amazing, the honey flavour is mild and it lingers a bit. Quite refreshing.
2.4 Pours a hazy golden yellow. Aromas of bread, fruit and spices. Flavors of fruit, malt and some hints of spice.
2.6 Large head gold pour aromas sweet grain grass hay the flavours grassy mild bitter sweet grain and honey notes watery taste though but very refreshing ale pity about the watery taste the finish good sweetness refreshing taste but too watery
2.6 330ml bottle into glass. As Summer Honey Wheat. Cloudy amber beer with solid white head. Fine steady carbonation. Very faint wheat nose. Slight mineral water mouthfeel. Finish is faintly sweet, faintly sour. Not bad but not very interesting.
3.5 Tastes pretty similar to the regular Blue Moon Belgian White, but is slightly sweeter and unfortunately is filtered. I prefer my wheat beers to be unfiltered.
2.3 (Bottle) Pours clear amber golden with essentially no head. Aroma is cardboard with a hint of sweetness. Light bodied with plenty of rather fizzy carbonation. Taste is light and sweet, rather sugary than honey. Some bitterness in finish. Easy drinking I guess, but light and sweet and I wouldn’t choose it again
3.0 From a 330ml bottle on 14/2/2016. Pours a clear light golden with a small head. There’s very little to the nose, with the barest hint of wheat. Taste wise, it’s very sweet, with orange and honey notes set off against very mild spices and wheat flavours, with the barest bittnerss . Light bodied with average carbonation. Okay.
2.3 APPEARANCE- golden color. No head retention. FLAVOR- I get a touch of honey, with a pretty good wheat background.
3.5 Its a good eeay drinking wheat beer. Not to strong with the malty flavors. Kind of like a light beer.
2.1 Sickly sweet. Mediocre dull flat water. Nothing about this is worth a flip.
3.6 12 ounce bottle into pint glass, best before 11/23/2015. Pours lightly hazy golden yellow color with a 2 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of lemon, orange peel, pear, apple, honey, wheat, cracker, biscuit, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aroma with good balance of pale malt, honey/orange peel, fruity yeast, and light earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of lemon orange peel, pear, apple, honey, wheat, cracker, biscuit, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Light herbal/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, orange peel, pear, apple, honey, wheat, cracker, biscuit, and herbal/yeast earthiness on the finish for a short bit. Nice balance and robustness of pale malt, honey/orange peel, fruity yeast, and light earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Fair amount of dryness after the finish as well. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, fairly crisp, and lightly creamy/bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming present after the finish. Overall this is a good Pale wheat ale style. All around good robustness and balance of pale malt, honey/orange peel, fruity yeast, and light earthy hop flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.
2.8 12oz bottle as Blue Moon Summer Honey Wheat from Whole Foods, Santa Fe. Pours clear golden with a low head. Aroma is malts and honey. Flavor is malts with some sweetness. Disappointingly thin and ordinary.
2.5 Picked up as part of a variety pack. Hints of spice in the aroma. Nice head on the pour, with a golden color. The flavor is honey and a hint of citrus. I found this to be very average. Would drink it again, but would not go out if my way to find it.
2.8 bottled - a good, lightly sweet, refreshing summer beer. Surprisingly good for Blue Moon.
2.4 Bottle @ home. giallo ambrato leggermente velata schiuma bianca non molto fine poco persistente. Aroma maltato (miele d’acacia), leggermente agrumato debole erbaceo. Dolce amabile, acidula, poco amara. leggermente tostato il gusto. Molto carbonata, poco corposa, non calda, rotonda.
2.6 Really mild. Has a vanilla smell. Blue Moon flavors taste cheap to me. It okay, not great.
2.0 Pours a dark straw from a bottle. Aroma of honey. Flavor is kind of like a standard pale lager with some honey added, even though this is an ale. I don’t know, feels somehow fake. Meh.
2.9 12 oz bottle in pint glass golden straw color with modest white head of limited duration. Virtually no lacing. Plenty of visible carbonation. A sweet, light flavored, and light bodied beer. Intended to be served cold on hot days, this beer holds up better than some other summer beers to warming. Some malt and wheat flavor lingers into the finish along with a modicum of light orange flavor.
3.3 Poured from a 12 ounce bottle. Notes of honey, honey sweetness, light graininess, some fruity esters.
3.0 12 oz. bottle. Pours clear with fizzy head. Aroma of wheat and honey. Taste lightly sweet. On of my favorite Blue Moons.
