2.7 Bottle, sampled from a glass, the pour made about a fingers worth of white bubbles and it was a hazy yellow-orange in the glass, the nose had floral, spice and grass hops, the hops had a bit lemon citrus, light wheat and a bit of bread in the background, some floral sweetness with light fruit sweetness, may be a touch of honey in the background, the flavors were grapefruit citrus and spice hops, light wheat, faint lemon and pear fruit, and fruit sweetness, some hop bitterness that had a dead grass (old/stale hops?) / weed (not wacky tobacky) note, light fruit citrus afterwards, the mouth feel was light, it was a little creamy, and had average to lively carbonation, the off-ness got in the way of enjoying this drink, I would not buy again.
3.4 Tap at rotolos shv. Hazy amber with ivory foam. Subtle ganja smoke, light dank, spicy, dry hay aromas. Medium body with average carbonation. Herbal, spicy, dank, fruity, bready fla ors---tangy finish___good.
2.9 BB 16.03.17. Poured a slightly hazy golden amber with a two-finger bright white dense foam head that retained very well and laced very well. Carbonation high an lively with fine to medium sized bubbles. Aroma soft and subtly of citrus/grapefruit; no obvious malt; pleasant but not what I was expecting from an IPA. Taste of light malt with a moderately strong sharp grapefruit-like bitterness; no obvious orange; becomes a bit more wheaty and coriander comes out as it warms; not what I was expecting from an IPA. Light body. Crisp, clean, refreshing and slightly dry with a slight grapefruit bitterness on the finish. Easy to drink. Not a hop-driven IPA by any means.
2.7 12 oz bottle. BB Nov/21/16. (H-E-B) San Antonio, TX. Cloudy yellow color with a small white head. Tea, fruit tea, dryness, spices and some yeast in the aroma. The flavor is tea, mild hops, mild dryness, wheat and some spices. Closer to a Witbier than a White IPA. Weak.
4.3 I found this extremely refreshing. I didn’t expect it to taste like a dark IPA, and it really doesn’t. It is its own thing and I love it. I’m pretty sure it is Canada’s Rickard’s White under different name in the US.
1.0 This beer us not for the traditional IPA drinker. More so for the bud light, Coors light drinker feeling adventurous. It’s the "Wonder Bread" of the IPA’s
2.2 Bottle - Pours a cloudy pale gold with white head. Aroma of lemon, hay, and skunk water. Flavors of the same. Light mouth-feel. Some hops after.
3.3 Holding the bottle up to the light ’geez’ it looks like sea monkeys floating about. Thankfully in the glass these globules of proteins vapourise and create a haziness to its deep yellow body. The head, more the gift of the Duvel glass than itself, rises up a good two inches and slowly ebbs back to become a messy web of snow-white foam. Sour and tangy citrus nose complimented by sourish wheat malt, coriander and a touch of what seems like vitamin ’C’ tablets. Wow, that is dry. Lagered to this point or a product of the hops? Light bodied and effervescent to make it featherweight. Bitter peaking finish is met by notes of pinewood. Light candyish note is front like Starburst™ fruit chews, but this so short-lived. Mineral-like and chalkish with lingering coriander on the tongue. This is actually not bad. If it was any different it would be unbalanced and possibly unpalatable, but as it is it quenches a thirst whilst creating one. Relatively clean, yet overall lacking in complexity, but hey, it goes down with amazing speed. (33cL, BB 16/03/17, The Liquor Shed, Jandakot)
2.8 355 ml bottle Slightly off yellow straw color. Bright white head, fades to a collar. Lots of visible carbonation in the glass. Orange, orange peel, pine, citrus, and spices nose. Kind of odd. Taste is orange, lemon citrus, spice, pine, and grapefruit. Kind of odd but kind of works. Light bodied, high carbonation. Cuts through the oddnes, or is it artificalness of this. Lots of orange and grapefruit peel in the finish. Bone dry finish which helps. Odd but sort of tasty.
2.4 Bottle to glass - pours a golden yellow, nice frothy white head. Lots of suspended particulate in there of varying size, it looked unsettling to me. Fresh aroma of citrus and coriander. Decent spice initially on the tongue but then it does quickly only leaving a weird bitterness. Not good.

3.1 bottle - Cloudy light gold pour with a one finger white head... it has a mild, yeasty, lightly citrusy aroma. The flavor is of wheat, yeast, coriander, and mild to moderate hops bitterness with a little citrus. It’s a bit bland though refreshing and decent overall. To me it’s closer to what many brewers call a "hoppy wheat" than a white ipa because the bitterness isn’t very aggressive.
2.6 Bottle from Kroger. Hazy yellowish with a big fluffy off-white head. Lacing is nice. Aroma of dominant coriander with some leafy greens and grain and a hint of citrus. So far surprisingly so good. Tastes of chemicals and bitter grain in a bit of an offensive way. Medium bodied, fizzy, and dry.
3.3 On tap at Fifth Third Ballpark, home of the Kane County Cougars, in Geneva, IL. Dispensed to plastic showing a cloudy, orangey gold hue, with a thick, persistent layer of frothy, cream colored head foam, and curtainy lacing. The nose was successful in projecting some Wit character, with light wheat and a touch of spice as coriander, then esters as grapefruit & orange, and a hint of resin. A little less than medium bodied, with decent carbonation, the taste added subtle sweetness and quite potent, citrus & rind bitterness that lingered with some finishing dryness. Not bad, and fairly refreshing ballgame/picnic faire.
3.0 From bottle. Sweet, lemon verbena, fresh cotton aroma. Clear with lots of heavy particles. Breadfruit, bitter pith, bread, wheat.
3.3 This was my first beer at a recent AA league ballgame and my first ever Blue Moon of any type. I picked up the subtle orange which was good. It had some body, was smooth but the hops definitely came through. Enjoyable. I will probably try it again.
3.2 I rather like the white IPA style. This one is mild and quite reminiscent of the original Blue Moon with a dash of extra hops. It is very clean with a medium length finish. I think it works well and is as versatile with food as the original. Forego the orange slice with this one though.
2.7 Aroma is a bit skunk and the barest suggestion of hops. Nice foamy head, but I suspect foaming agents. Flavor’s on the bitter side and again the barest hint of hop. Soft texture. Meh.
2.6 Bottle. Pours a cloudy light white gold with a one finger white head and mild splotchy lacing. Smells of lemon. Tastes very light and mild, with flavors of citrus, wheat, yeast, hard water. Minor bitterness level and a so-so aftertaste. Average at best.
3.0 From the bottle. Smooth and refreshing. Not too hoppy. A hint of coriander on the finish. Very sessionable
3.0 After a long weekend of working on our house to sell, I am exhausted and in need of something cool. An IPA that is about average.
3.3 Pours is a hazy golden, slim white head with little retention. Light citrus notes, orange peel, wheat, yeast. Light body. Okay.
2.0 Bottle (AUG0816), screw-top. Nose really heavily of orange peel, some coriander, wheat malt, lemon-banana esters, more citrus from the hops. Pours cloudy yellow with a sudsy white head. Taste surprisingly bitter, strongly so, with almost harsh resin, bread and yeast, disappointing coriander soup. Too-aggressive carbonation, a little wheat slime, astringency that lasts long into the aftertaste, full body. Pine. Ultimately a failure. [2016.06.23: 2.0]
3.7 Maybe call it a pale ale. But this is a very refreshing hoppy citrus beer. Very balanced and enjoyable. Cloudy fading head. Malt forward. Creamy toasty. Flavors of apricot and light pineapple. I would buy again. Just no nose.
2.0 Aroma is: not much. Appearance is: Blue Moon looking. Taste is: not much. Palate is: fine. Overall is: Eh.
3.3 wife went to walmart and this is what she brought back. 12oz bottle - nose is citrus mint. Sip adds hay, zest, and bread. It’s alright. Better than the regular Blue Moon.
3.2 Draught @ Barclays Center. Nice drinkable beer. Mildly hoppy for an IPA. Soft mouthfeel.
3.0 Bottle of a 6 pack Patty bought. She did not know Blue Moon made more than one style now and did not read label. Pours hazy unfiltered orangey yellow with white head. Aroma is light citrus, orange, wheat, coriander, lemon, wheat and some pine hops. Actually not bad smelling. Flavor has some earthy piney herby notes with citrus, orange and lemon. Wheat notes are prevalent as well
3.0 Appearance: opaque pale gold with one fat finger of fluffy off-white head diminishing gradually to a loose cap, patchy lacing. (3/5) Aroma: citrus, wheat, light pine, earth, floral. (6/10) Taste: moderate sweet, moderate bitter. (6/10) Palate: medium body, moderate-low carbonation, short duration moderate bitter finish. (3/5) Quite promising on uncapping, but the hops faded rapidly. It gradually becomes apparent that this is basically Blue Moon with less coriander and more hops. It’s not terrible, and it’s certainly better than Blue Moon, but it’s a long way from being great. (12/20)
2.6 355ml bottle bought at Q Club in SoHo, Central. Cloudy hazy straw golden colour with a crust of yeast particles; Half finger head with soapy white foam which lasts for 1 minute; Very good sticky lacing with near zero carbonation; Fragrant and sweet aroma of malt, with wheaty tartness, passion fruits, honeydew melons, dry fruits, floral, sugar syrup, strong yeast, light lemon and light grass; Mid to light sweet taste of moderate malt, with strong wheaty tartness, grapefruit peels, floral, sugar, strong spices, light earth, strong yeast, lemon, strong bitter hops and sharp grass; Close to medium body. Slick and smooth palate; Mouth Feel is fair maltyness in a slick and quite creamy background. Very strong presence wheat and tartness clashes with strong grapefruit peels, floral and sharp spices. Sweetness is strong but not quite cloying, Very yeasty followed by sharp lemon to round. Quite okay… Hoppiness is passion fruits, honeydew melons, dry fruits, floral and light lemon in nose. Citrus peels, floral, strong spices, light earth, lemon and sharp grass in taste; Bitterness is strong for a lasting, high astringent sweet bitter finish; Dry after taste. Smooth, sweet and strong bitter to mouth. Comments: This one has the BM Belgian White Ale based dry hopped with several West Coast hops. The aroma is decently fruity one moment and syrupy sweet the next, while the taste is a clash between sweet malt, strong bitter hops and strong wheat tartness. Not very balanced. Barely passable with lots of improvement need to be tackled. Once is enough for now.
