3.6 Can from Blue Smoke. Resiny fruity aroma. Bitter resiny taste, with bready malts. Long bitter finish. Pretty good.
3.7 Pour is a honey amber with a thin head. Aroma is pine and grasses. Taste is a crisp bitter. Finish is bitter.
Nez aromatique, herbal, caramel. Palais rond, bien corpulent en bouche. Alcool discret. Grande longueur en bouche. Bel équilibre général.
3.4 (Thanks, Gene! "Travlr") Can. A- Grapefruit, tangerines, juicy, subtle caramel, subtle hops. A- Orange color, hazy liquid, off white head. T- Juicy, citrus, caramel, bitter, malty. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, malty finish. O- At first smell, I got everything I expected and more. Lots of juicy tropical citrus fruits. Then on the palate I got more of the same with a decent malt backbone. Balanced out well. Enjoyed this quite a bit.
3.5 Hazy, dark orange colour. Well balanced Pale Ale with enough malt presence to stand up to a fairly strong, bitter hop flavour.
3.3 On tap @ Blue Mountain / Afton VA --- Clear light mahogany amber, ivory head, sheets of lace. Taste is a bit of malt that is quickly passed by medium hops. The hops maintain control through the finish. A decent light entry APA, especially for hopheads.
3.4 Serves in a can. Nice taste. Great with a burger. Smooth taste with a pleasant aftertaste. Subtle and does not affect the taste of the fruit. Safe social beer for mixed company.
3.3 Poured an amber color with aromas of malt, cotrus, and pine. Flavors match the aromas nice Nelson hops light cat puss citrus and malt in the flavors not overly bitter decent.
3.4 Poured from 12 oz. can. Clear, golden amber with a near-white head and very good lacing. Aroma of citrus, caramel and pine with a touch of pineapple. Taste of pine resin, citrus, caramel and pineapple. Medium body and medium carbonation. A rather piney IPA.
3.5 12 ounce can. Small fluffy beige head. Fresh caramel malt nose with a touch of citrus hops. Sweet toasted malt flavor upfront has hints of toffee and fruit. Subtle citrus hops balance the malt nicely. Slightly chewy sweet malt finish. A nice American Pale Ale.
3.3 Can 355ml @ Hotel room, Comfort Inn Downtown, Washington, DC Pours slightly hazy deep golden with a small off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, citrus, pine and grass. Taste is medium sweet and medium bitter with a long malty, caramel, grassy, citrus and pine finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
3.5 Can. A hazy, dark golden beer with a small, dense, off-white head leaving some curtains. The aroma is rather piney and grapefruity, with some malty notes in the back. Bread hints. It’s full-bodied, smooth and pleasantly carbonated, semi-dry. Nice bitterness in the flavor, some lightly bready malts in the back, and pine cones and grapefruit up front. Lasting finish with some orange zest, grapefruit and bitterness. A bit sweeter than I prefer, but sure a nice one. 150618
3.4 Tap. Coppery light orange hue. Caramel, toasted malt, citrusy hops, and some grassiness as well in the aroma. Flavor is similar with some slight bitter grassiness at first, toast, some caramel sweetness, and slight citrus. Lighter to medium body and a little slick.
3.0 Can from Chevy Chase Wine and Beer. Golden body with poppy texture. Nose is hoppy, crisp. Taste is hops and citrus and fruits. Nice and smooth texture. Enjoyable.
3.9 BBD 5/15. Pours a hazy medium amber (copper). Outstanding head volume, world class lacing and retention. Quite nice nose of citrus hops with a subtle pine hop background over a subtle caramel. Almost light medium body with a texture that is somewhat smooth. Superbly carbonated with a nice effervescence from the middle on. The outstanding flavor profile is intense, a bit complex and very well balanced. It begins with cascade hops (a blended citrus and pine flavor with a hint of spice). In the middle a balancing sweetness emerges against a mild bitterness with a slant towards grapefruit. The finish is a lingering rind like mild bitterness.
3.5 12oz can. Pours a medium amber with an off white medium head. Citrus and pine hops aroma with some caramel malt. Taste is of citrus and pine hops and some caramel malt. Palate is a medium body, crisp mouth feel with good carbonation. Finish is citrus pine and some herbal hops that linger a bit with some caramel malt for balance. Final thoughts a good drinking brew.
3.7 bottled - purchased in Roanoke VA - Good hop flavor and slight sweetness. Nice hoppy aroma and coppery color. Very good and drinkable.
3.3 330 ml bottle. Pours an orange amber colour with a white head. Aroma of floral hops, resin and some nuttiness. Flavour of biscuit, herbal bitterness, heavy sweetness, resin and grass. Medium bodied. Dry, lingering bitter finish. A bit too sweet.
3.5 12 FL. OZ. bottle from Miorge-Mihoublon, Arlon, Belgium. Aroma is not as powerful as I thought it’d be but focuses on citrus, lemongrass. It pours a nice copper color with little carbonation and no head. Taste is a classical IPA with some citrus notes, lemongrass and some pine resins. Bitterness is long and linfering. Finish is quite dry
3.3 355ml bottle. Barely clear amber colour with small to average, thick, frothy to creamy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Cautious, piney, hoppy aroma, biscuit malty background, even more cautious citrusy hints of lemon and sweaty resin. Taste is slightly sweet biscuity malty, a touch of caramel and peanut, dry, piney hoppy overtones; long lasting finish, smooth, soft, silky, mouth-filling palate. Very nice composition, but sadly a bit anaemic concerning the aromatic profile.
3.6 From a can. Slightly hazy copper color with off-white head. Lemon citrus pine aroma. Nice caramel malt palette well balanced by a piney hop bitter finish. Perfectly on style American pale ale.
3.5 Klares bernsteinfarbenes Bier mit einer ordentlichen leicht beigen Schaumkrone. Geruch hopfig, leicht harzig, fruchtig. Geschmack sehr hopfig, leicht harzig, Pfirsich, Aprikose, dezent bitter, gut!
3.4 Pours amber with minimal head. Good balance of malt and bitter hops. Clean finish and pretty good overalk.
4.0 Poured from the tap into a pint glass. Aroma- has a nice malt smell Appearance- golden amber
3.6 Cask offering at Pizzeria Paradiso Dupont. Sharp, grapefruit hops, creamy, slick copper body. Soft hoppy nose, big Centennial hops in the taste. Lingering citrus finish.
3.3 Draft pour. Pours a clear copper with a white head. Aroma has pine and white cake. The taste is sweet and a bit papery with some herbal hop qualities. Medium bodied and mild bitterness. Probably an older keg, but the bartender seemed to think it was as good as it ever was. An alright beer, but probably better fresher.
3.1 Draft->shaker. dark orange with moderate offwhite head. Light pine and citrus hops, more sweet than bitter. Average and unassuming.
3.3 Poured from 12oz bottle at Edison. White head with a dark cloudy orange color. Ripe peach and grapefruit dank aroma. Sweet and hoppy tropical fruit taste. Not bad but I thought it was over rated
3.3 Can. Nose is doughy and spicy, pine with light citrus. Amber pour, maybe a little orange, with a large and tight beige head. Dull/flattish medium body, even watery at times, off-dry with mostly caramel and wood, a little toffee and earth, not much citrus. Still, alive and fresh and clean, an easy one to down without much thought.
