2.1 Aroma was ....interesting, not anything I'd experienced from an IPA before. Taste was off, didn't really remind me of an IPA at all. Palate was kind of weak. Not necessarily bad but it was just a pretty weak attempt at making an IPA.
3.1 More of a starter ipa. Not much smell, and color is clear. H
2.1 At JFK on draught. Restrained aroma is near non-existent with slight pine. Clear orange with slight amber. Creamy sustained white head. Taste is sweet. Harsh finish.
3.0 Bottle from 7/11. Malty, grassy, light citrus. Some bitterness. Overall weak hop profile.
4.2 Highly aromatic on first pour, herby, citrusy hop aromas whack you in the nose. Palate is clean with a nice bitter finish. Not something i could session but a very good beer!
2.3 Bottle Looks: Nice amber color, fine ivory foam not very persistent. Aroma: very malty, honey and biscuit. No trace of hop aroma, very weird IPA... I would have swoen having my nose over a "goudale". Flavor: in line with aromas, very malty, no sign of hops (???), Honey, alcohol, slight but lastint bitterness but somehow unpleasant because of the total lack of hop aroma/flavor. Not even close to an IPA to me...
3.0 bottle. deep glowing orange. high carb low head. earthy tones ale with mild bitterness and touch grapefruit and me light iron finish. deep malty flavours. What's the illusion exactly. that it's not an ipa? still a perfectly pleasant ale.
3.3 355 ml bottle, bottled 29/09/2017. Amber, clear, white head. Streams of bubbles. Very sweet aroma of malt, some citrus ( clementine ) and more malt. Seems like something floral is lurking behind the malt wall. Taste - malt and malt. Light bitter aftertaste. Oily.
3.3 Bottle 33cl. Pours gold/amber with a small white head. Aroma is malt, pine and caramel. Taste is malt and caramel. Lightly bitter with a medium carbonation.
3.4 14Sep2017 Bitter overripe tropical fruits, mango, bitter citrus fruits, orange peel, marmalade. Clear gold, medium, creamy, white head. Medium bitter. More bittersweet citrus fruits, orange peel, candied mango, grapefruit, soft carbonation, medium bodied. Decent. Bottle at BA Galleries Lounge, JFK Airport.
Men godkendt
3.2 bottle at home. fading white head, dark gold/copper colour, vlight hop at nose, big body and big malt flavour, caramel, nice bitter that linger in the finish. nice beer, I wish it had more hop aroma
3.2 Served on tap. Light orange color. Quickly collapsing head. Light aroma. Light hops. Lingers on the palette. Heavier on malt than expected. Nice.
3.3 Draft from an EPCOT flight. An okay IPA with lots of resin and some hints of white grapefruit. Meh.
2.9 Bottle from The Food Emporium, 1175 3rd Avenue, NYC. Pours amber with a small off-white head. Aroma of caramel, malt, fruit, veg, syrup and grain. Moderate sweetness and medium bitterness. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation. Not one of the better IPA’s I’ve had here.
2.4 Pours a honey gold with a medium white head.....aroma of corn, soggy Wheaties, touch of dusty barnwood.......taste is metallic, touch bubblegum, soggy cereal. Not very pleasant.
3.1 Bottle from Saveur bière.com Pleasant beer, not my favourite kind of IPA, something whit the hops...
3.2 355ml bottle at 7%. Pours dark orange with a medium head. Aroma is mango and toffee. Taste has some mango to start. Grassy toffee finish.
3.5 On tap while in Orlando Pours a clear copper Smoky finish - nice, but nothing wow about it
2.8 Pour is a clear copper with a large white head. Aroma is sweet caramel malt with some leafy green tea. Flavor is more malty than hoppy. Actually I hardly get any hops in this beer. It pretty much all sweet caramel malt with more of a dry bitter aftertaste. Where are the hops? This was bottled on April 10th so it is not very old. This was a beer that was probably a whole lot better before being bought out. This has macro brewed IPA all over it.
4.1 12oz Flasche. Mit 6,7%. Gelbes klares Bier, weisser hoher Schaum. Es duftet nach unreifem Pfirrsich und Aprikose. Im Antrunk Harz, Aprikose, Karamel. Langer Harz Abgang.
3.6 Bottle: Clear amber with a thick beige head. Sweet, tropical fruit, floral scent. Taste is mango, pineapple, orange....caramel malt......a touch of spiciness. On the sweet side, only a just a bit of peel bittering. Simple, but tasty.
3.6 12-ounce bottle pours slightly hazy golden color with thin off-white head. As I sip, lacing clings to side of glass. Aroma: mango, pineapple, sweet bread, pine. Flavor: blood orange, pine needles, malt. Prickly on tongue from carbonation and hops. Medium bodied, slightly creamy mouthfeel. Nicely balanced sweetness and bitterness -- although for me, a bit too sweet for what I consider to be a really good IPA.
2.5 Pours clear copper with a thin white head from the bottle. Slight hoppy and medium malt aroma and this hold true for the taste as well, maybe heavy on the sweetness. It’s a light, thin beer with a some what tart finish.
2.8 January 2017 - Bottle share at Leighton’s. Thanks Leighton! As ’ Blue Point Hoptical Illusion’, 7%. Translucent orange, still with a foamy off-white head. Aroma is light honey, pastries, dusty. Body is light, frothy with tingly carbonation. Taste is sugary, toffee, honey, touch resinous but bitterness is swamped by the sugars. Very sweet. Not my thing. (2.8)
3.6 From a mystery beer hawk case. Hoppy and bitter IPA. This 330 ml bottle was actually 7% alcohol not 6.8%. Nice beer.
2.5 Faint aroma of caramel malt... no hoppy aromas? Nice golden color with a thick off white head. Sweet malt up front. Lots of caramel and bread. Bitterness coats nicely, one dimensional and dry. Slightly watery mouth feel with a somewhat balanced finish. Soapy aftertaste however. Disappointing.
