Flaska från Etre Gourmete. Gyllengul nästan klar med låg småbubblig skum. Estrig söt fruktig doft med aprikoser, söta äpplen, hö, örter, aningen mint, peppar. En hel del alkohol ismaken och bittra örter, gräs, jord och hö men också fruktig sötma med aprikosmarmelad och äpplen. Sammantaget hygglig balans och stilmässigt som en besk trippel. Trevlig.
Cloudy yellow strong white head.
Aroma: ethers, black pepper, some mint, dusty grass.
Taste: alcohol and hoppy bitterness, light fruity sweetness.
Flavour: home-made apricote brandy, spicy ethers, some earthy and grassy notes.
Good.
Nice, spicy, golden, honey tinged. Little apricot/pineapple on nose too. More butterscotch and pineapple in body; longish finish.

Goryczka: wyra?na, ostra, alkoholowa, troch? przeszkadza. Wysycenie wysokie, szybko powoduje uczucie syto?ci. Alkohol nieznacznie wyczuwalny, mo?e by?.

Bloemig en licht hoppig aroma. Mooi troebel goudblond bier met romige witte schuimkraag die goed aan het glas blijft plakken. Zacht van smaak. Fruitig, romig, lichte toets van honing en hele lekkere zacht bittere afdronk van de hop. Een superlekker biertje.
Zeer lekker honingbier. Aroma: citrushop en honing. Smaak: fruitig, honing, citrus, sinaasappel en licht spicy. Hoppige nasmaak zonder teveel bitterheid, heerlijk!

Ambar. Dos dedos de espuma muy efervescente, que no dura demasiado. Aroma dulce, en el que claramente se percibe la miel que lleva. En boca muy equilibrada, manteniendo el tono dulce pero evolucionando con un amargor claro, muy marcado y cada vez más seco, dejando además un calorcito final muestra del alto contenido alcohólico, bien disimulado hasta ese momento por la rica textura suave al paladar. Gas también marcado. En conjunto es una buena cerveza.
Bottle sample from old notes. Pours a hazy orange golden color with a large off white head. The aroma and flavor had sweet malts, fruits, some citrus, doughy bread, yeast, a slight metallic note to the finish. OK.
Found back quite some tasting notes, among them, this one.
APPEARANCE: light clouded blond beer, small stable white head.
NOSE: quite sweet, some caramel, bit hoppy.
TASTE: very sweet, candy sugar? Bit hoppy
7th Feb 2015: Brugge Beer Festival. Golden blond, my pour was slightly hazy. The nose had a honey twang to it, some spicy notes and yeastiness. The taste seemed sweeter with caramel malty flavours coming through. Mild but prolonged bitterness towards the finish. Another honey beer that has failed to excite my taste buds too greatly.

Hazy peach in colour with a big creamy head. Aroma is a big bouquet of flowers. Taste is crisp, flowery, citrus, and a tinge of honey.
Blonde dorée trouble, effervescence moyenne à bulles fines, col blanc moyen. Arôme de miel et de houblon, les malts sont rapidement dépassés par une amertume herbacée, notes de miel, légèrement fleurie. Une bière au miel loin des autres du genre.
Boelens’ best known beer, classic Belgian honey beer since 1994; deep peach blonde, hazy, with honey being present in the aroma along with spicy yeastiness, caramelly malts, herbal hops; less sweet than expected, though very estery, had a sourish accent many times I tasted it probably due to lactic bacterial infection; yeasty, sweet honey touch, otherwise spicy and malty with grassy hop bitterness in the finish. Decent, if you can find a non-infected sample, at least.
Bottle from de Bierschuur in Poppel. The beer has a golden / blonde color and a nice large white head, with a lot of bubbles. The aroma has clear tones of hops, spices, flowers, citrus and a little sweetness from honey. The taste starts little sweet, honey like, to change in a nice light bitterness with tones of hops and spices. The finish is soft and a light bitter, and is long noticable. A nice strong ale, which could have been a tripel. Nicely done.
Bottle@home. Haze golden. Small head. Sweet Heather floral rose honey notes. Dry spicy taste. Good with fried rice. Like it.
Een lekker biertje. Een beetje zurig maar niet dat het overweldigend is. Dit ga ik zeker nog drinken
Licht troebel bier zonder schuim. Smaak is bitter, licht zuur, citroen. Blijft lang hangen. Uitstekend bier met bijzondere goede smaak.
Aroma of fruits, honey, hops. Flavour is wonderfully restrained sweetness with a welcome hoppy bitterness in the finish. Congratulations to brewery Boelens for brewing a honey related beer that I enjoyed quite a lot.
Bottle from the brewery. Honey aroma, honey flavour. You are almost fooled into thinking it is sweet, but it is the honey aroma. The sugars are consumed, and a liberal amount of hops leave a robust bitter finish. Clever.

Bière au miel de 8,5 % abv, refermentée en bouteille.
Couleur jaune orangé. Apparence voilée de levure en suspension, dû à un très important
dégagement gazeux au décapsulage.
Bulles fines partout en petites colonnes.
Mousse blanche épaisse mais artificielle (gaz), nappe à 1mm assez crémeuse.
Arômes de cassonade, miel, cigare, tabac blond, biscuit feuilleté, genièvre, houblon amer.
1ère bouche douce à soyeuse, assez épicée, avec un peu de malt blond et du houblon amer.
Arrière-bouche piquante, sans vraie personnalité.
2ème bouche qui propose un bon rattrapage sur une épice plus distinguée, et qui est très fraîche.
3ème sur des fruits blancs, pointe de fumée et de nicotine.
Arrière-bouche amère, bien tranchée et houblonnée.
La longueur offre un équilibre beaucoup plus satisfaisant avec du malt/houblon/épices.
La levure est amère aussi, mais bien structurée.
L’alcool est correct, sans excès, mais je pense qu’il a aidé à une longueur plus intéressante.
La finale prend encore un peu d’ampleur, belles saveurs.
CONCLUSION : belle bière qui a le défaut de commencer de façon très déséquilibrée, mais qui
fait un très beau chemin pour se redresser jusqu’à la finale.

Bottle @home. Pours clear golden with a nice white head. Little sweet and spicy aroma. Taste is fruity, little sweet and light to medium bitterness. Dry aftertaste. Easy drinkable, not bad.
Botella de 33 cl en casa. Una noche de verano de 2012 en Llamas. Aromas dulces y maltosos. Cuerpo medio fácil de beber. Sabores bastante dulces. Habría que probarla nuevamente para recordarla
33cl Bottle from Hopduvel, Gent. Clear copper golden, white head. Aroma has lots of Brettanomyces funk, light tartness, nutmeg and clove, hops, honey-ish malts. Flavour is light tart, Brett, light spicy, apples, firm, almost harsh bitterness, nice mellow sweetness, bitter finish with some alcohol and Bretty spiciness. Medium-bodied, dry. Nice, but is the Brett intended?
Standard honey beer with a spicy and yeasty aroma. Better than the usual honey beer, but still average.
