2.6bottle sample during xmas beer festival, poured a amber colour with a slight off white head. nose has vineous fruits upfront, going to the tart side, spices, caramel, and slight yeast. it’s not about right.
3.1Bottle @ home. Dark amber to brown colour with a skall off-white head. Smells sour, red fruits, wild yeast, floral. Probably infected. Tastes sweet, loads of herbs, slightly floral. Doesn’t taste sour. Medium body, soft carbo. Taste isn’t too bad.
3.23/VII/15 - 33cl bottle as "Santa Bee" from De Hopduvel (Gent) @ Filip’s place - BB: 15/XI/15 (2015-833)
Clear amber beer, creamy irregular beige head, little stable, non adhesive. Aroma: sweet, honey, sugary, bit soapy, floral, citronella. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: bit sourish, spicy, citrus, floral, hoppy, bit herbal. Aftertaste: soft bitterness, lots of citronella, some caramel, hoppy, bit grassy, soapy touch. Weird, with all the citronella. I’m curious where that came from...
3.5Bottle 33cl (Santa bee), pours a Brown colour with a small head, aroma of cherry and honey, Sourish taste with dry aftertaste, bit alcohol
3.3bottle quasi scura buona schiuma piuttosto persistente erbaceo terroso lieve nota maltata mielosa una nota ferrosa lieve tostature unanota fruttata uvetta note dolciadtre lieve liquoroso
3.7Pours a hazy dark brown body with a medium head. Pleasent sweet aroma. Nice and balanced fruity taste with a hoppy feel.
3.2Better known nowadays as Santa Bee, another stereotypical Scotch-based Belgian Christmas ale, deep bronze with dense, off-white head; malty and estery aroma, honey, sweet spiciness, candied fruits; malty taste, fruity, candi sugar, caramelly, yeasty, sourish touch with a dryish finish with some warming alcohol and roasted coffee bitterishness, but solvents as well. Quite alright but there are better Belgians to choose from in this time of the year.
2.9red, cloudy color. fruity / fresh smell of cherries and carbonation. light spicy and light sour aroma. body feels light. sour taste, some vegetables, a bit of spices. light bitter finish.
3.1330 ml bottle. Pours clear dark orange amber with an eggshell white head. Odd spicy aroma, mingled with some caramel. Medium body, body and taste kind of blend. Not waauwed...
3.1Draught @ Le Trappiste, Brugge. Practically black with a thin head. Has a sugary sweet winter fruit aroma and taste.
3.4(backlog) Bottle at a tasting at maxxdaddy’s, As Santa bee. Hazy brown pour with tan head. Spice, yeast, sweet malt, and other belgian tones.
3.2Lasting huge beige head. Clear deep brown body. Vinous honey aroma with apple and spice notes. Dry-sweet spicy honey taste with apple notes. Mid-to-full body. Mildish mouthfeel. Dryish spicy honey aftertaste with buttery notes. Nice, vivid, drinkable. (0.33l bottle from the brewery.)
3.7Bottle from the brewery as Santa Bee.
Dar. Candy sugar, nutmeg, the honey in this is not very prominent. Burned sugar, flowers, soot. Complex, highly enjoyable.
Bulles moyennes partout, bien vives.
3.5[Bottle] Marketed as ’Santa Bee’. 2010 vintage. Dark amber color with garnet colored highlights. About a half inch of dense cream colored head. Aroma of bubblegum, sherry, honey and grass is kind of all over the place. Includes strawberry, licorice, yeasty phenols, fig and spice in the taste. Carbonation levels reminiscent of tonic water. Full bodied and borderline syrupy. Tasting notes from 12/2011.
3.5Dark beer. Smells neutral. The advertised amount of caramel and sweetness is not detectable. Tastes like herbs, spices. Some honey, ’wooden’ smell. Okay.

3.9Bottle of Santa Bee. Poured deep ruby red, thick, bubbly tan head. Aroma of sweet candy and caramel malt, quite spicy and zesty. Medium body, lively flavour of yeasty cherry,
4.7Bottle as Santa Bee: Tief dunkle Farbe, würziger Geruch.
Sehr sehr tolles Winterbier! Nicht zu süß, malzig-würzig mit tollem Kräuterfinish!! Die 8,5% fallen nicht auf!!
Sehr zu empfehlen!!

3.3Very sweet christmas beer. The usual thing for this style: lots of malt, spices and yeast.
3.3Bottle. Nice head with good duration. Color is brown. Aroma and taste are dried fruits, malt, caramel, candy sugar and hops.
3.3Bottle @ home.
