3.1 33cl-fles in de Narrenkoning te Outrijve. U: Donkerbruin met een gebroken witte schuimkraag. Ook enkele gistvlokken. G: Chocolade, gist en gedroogd fruit. S: Zoet. Melchocolade, wat gedroogd fruit en karamel. M: Medium body en medium carbonatie.

2.9 Po przelaniu do szkła tworzy się obfita, mydlana, średnio trwała piana. Barwa miedziana, mocno opalizująca z pływającymi drobinkami. W zapachu głównie estry w typie brzoskwiń, kandyzowanych moreli, trochę karmelu, niedofermentowanej brzeczki i ziół, mało to intensywne i średnio przyjemne. W smaku półsłodkie, są rodzynki, ciasto drożdżowe, pikantne przyprawy. Niska do średniej, głogowa goryczka, średnie wysycenie, lekko alkoholowe i rzadkie w odczuciu. Raczej średnio udane piwo, niby wszystko na swoim miejscu, ale mało wyraziste, mdłe, koncernowe, jak widać sprzęt i tradycja to nie wszystko.

3.4 Bottle, 330 ml, courtesy of and shared with JFK10000. Murky brown, particles floating, off-white head. Lots of dried fruit, plums, yeasty, malty. Sweetish, some light sourness. Medium bodied.

3.6 Belle couleur limpide "coca" et aussi une belle bouteille (que je ne conserverai pas vu la caution). Petite mousse bien adhérente et bulles moyennes. Le nez est chocolaté, malté, fruité (prune, cerise, raisin). La bouche assez sucrée, un peu caramel, légèrement acidulée et fruitée-cerise/raisin, et une petite amertume ; alcool présent. Pas mal !

3.5 Pours brown from the bottle. The head is foamy and sticky. Aroma is candy and caramel. Taste is overall sweet with notes of butterscotch, toffee, dark fruit and brown sugar. Light spice and alcohol in the finish. The sweet, spicy, alcoholic, malt-driven character reminds me overall of a German bock beer. Good stuff.

3.7 F: big, pale brown, hard to average retention. C: dark brown, hazy, opaque. A: malty, molasses, candy, hint of chocolate, coffee, dark dried fruits, plums, raisins, date, figs, yeast. T: malty, dried fruits, red fruits, liquorice, dark cherries, raisins, sweet chocolate, candy, date, full body, lower carbonation, quite interesting and good, 33cl bottle from Prik&Tik /Quali-drinks/ in Brussels.

4.2 Complex and beautiful smell: floral and yeasty. Smell reminds me a bit of wine. Large foam. Taste has apricot, floral notes, yeast, banana, vanilla, rye, medium bitterness. Very creamy texture. Like it quite a bit.

3.1 Murky cola pour. A: sweet malts and yeast, oranges, buttermilk note, licorice note. T: follows aroma, mildly bitter development with light sugar note. Finish is bit dry, fruity (orange), malts.

3.3 Fles gedronken met familie. Diep donkerbruin bier met stevige schuimkraag. Beetje caramelachtig. Lekkere nasmaak.

3.2 33cl bottle. Pours hazy reddish brown with a thick light beige head. Aroma is light with some dark fruits and some alcohol, taste is similar, quite light, some roastiness. Bland one.

3.7 Mustanruskea, Isohkosti vaahtoava, jää myös hentoisasti viipymään. Hiivaisa tuoksu joka muuttuu tuimaan alkoholiin. Marjaisan alkoholisen poltteleva suutuntuma. Varsin huikea "perus"olut.

3.4 2/6/2009 9:48:10 AM Cracked Kettle. Another nice Ale. Ruby body with medium head. Sweet, fruity and caramel nose. Flavour also with caramel and fruits. Warming finish.

4.3 Many thanks for this swing-top bottle to JefVerstraete. Pianka spora kremowa i bezowa. Kolor zmecony strasznie brazowo brubatny. Zapach kasztanow. W smaku figi, daktyle, kasztany i nieco slodkosci w typie sliwka w czekoladzie. Lekka gorycz i wytrawnosc w tle. Metne i pieknie wygladajaca butelka. Alkohol niewyczuwalny. Pijalne piwo choc nieco przyciezkawe.

4.0 Ambrée foncée, reflets rubis, légèrement trouble, Haute mousse à cratère qui se tient bien. Nez complexe de pruneaux, de mirabelle, fleurs, alcool, levure. Attaque sucrée et alcoolisée, puis des arômes de caramel, de banane, de amlts légèrement torréfiés se dégagent, mais on reste beaucouyp sur. la levure. L’alcool est très présent, mais sans jamais être génant, la carbo est formisable, le corps crémeux et dense. Une excellente bière, comme quoi De Proef savent aussi brasser pour eux !

3.6 Brown beer with beige head. notes of bread and caramel, but also slightly bitter. Not bad at all.

4.7 Pours amber with frothy tan head. Mostly secondary aromas, such as yeast, bread, porridge, lemon pie, dry pasta, yogurt, even a dash of vinegar. Fresh and powerful. Metallic and very, very sour. No bitterness. Difficult but rewarding.

3.6 Botella. Color cahoba espuma beige claro de buena formación y bastante buena persistencia. Aromas a fruta madura, ciruelas pasas, levadura, madera, frutos secos, alcohol, especias...en boca es aceitosa y algo pegajosa con carbo baja media. La levadura y frutales dominan, dulzor medio, amargor bajo, final a levadura q recuerda a habas crudas, no demasiado marcado, largo. Equilibrada y fácil de beber.

4.0 Bottle @ Baziel, Gent. Murky brown colour, creamy beige foam. Medium carbonation. Sweet with notes of raisins, plums, stone fruit. Some toast and caramel also. Light bitter finish. Well balanced. Very good beer.

3.4 It’s difficult to neglect the classic bottle when reviewing this beer. But I’ll give it a try. Strong dark beer with nice beige foam. Sweet, bitter and spiritlike ending.

3.7 Color caoba limpio con espuma canela muy compacta y duradera. Intenso aroma de frutos secos, y, más tenue, frutas confitadas. Cuerpo medio-denso, inicio dulce, de frutas confitadas, al que sigue un sabor de frutos secos y un final seco ligeramente tostado.

3.1 Commissioned beer in a swingtop bottle made for Den Ouden Advokaat, an eggnog making company in Sint-Niklaas. Deep bronze colour, dense creamy head, malt sweet, caramelly, estery, some DMS in the nose; spicy yeastiness, smooth, a bit chocolatey, some warming alcohol in the finish along with herbal hops. Okay, but nothing out of the ordinary.
