3.3 Bottle 330ml; Look: clear dark amber/chestnut. Moderate carbonation with a moderate tan head. Aroma: caramel, toffee, biscuit, jam Body: thin Taste: dark roasted malt, subtle toffee, some bitterness Overall: refreshing and well balanced
3.5 Tight foamy tan head stayed on a reddish brown body. Malt, caramel, raisin & biscuit aroma. Medium to full bodied, tingly with a smooth creamy back. Treacle, raisin, biscuit & malt tastes with a bitter tangy finish. Very nice.
3.2 Spiced fruit flavours, sweet caramel malt and a gentle roasted flavour. Pours coffee brown, minimal tan head.
3.7 Pours dark mahogany with a lasting beige head. Aroma is yeasty, toasted brown bread, chocolate, lemon pepper hop and some dark fruit. Light, soft and hugely drinkable. Taste is yeast, lemon, caramel, brown bread, chocolate, spice and some dark fruits. Light bitterness on the finish. Love a dark lager.
3.2 33cl bottle from Beer52. Thin off white head. Clear amber pour. Easy drinking.
3.5 330ml bottle at 4.4%. Dark brown with beige head, nice retention and lacing. Aroma resembles something like a chocolate brioche being sweet and bready before more toasted notes come to the fore. Taste is chocolate, bread, sweet and toasty malts, nuts, tiny smoke element in finish. Body is fairly light but not overly so for a sub 5% lager. I like it.
3.1 330ml bottle via Beer 52 sub. Pours clear dark brown with a beige head. Aroma: dark malt, light coffee, caramel. Taste: light sweet & moderate bitter, roasted malt, hints of chocolate, liquorice, smoke. Thin body with soft carbonation.
2.4 Pours a really dark colour smells of malts First time is just smoothest followed by a dark smokey taste
3.3 Old rating from 2011 - 500ml bottle, 4.4 ABV, pours brown with a small beige head. Aromas & tastes of caramel, bread, nuts, grain & roasted malts. Moderate body. Light bitter finish
2.7 Bottle delivered from House of Trembling Madness. Dark pour with minimal head, some fruit, yeast, grain, not really my thing.
2.9 # 2195; 8/2020. Caramely sweet aroma, slightly herbal. Dark brown, tany head. Sweeter, caramely, cola-like, slightly roasty, watery, herbal. Good bohemian dark lager. 0,5 l, bottle, supermarket (Norma), Rožmitál pod Třemšínem (Bohemia, CZ).
3.7 Super clean, similar to any german schwarzbier. Very drinkable, bright flavours, refreshing dark lager. Pivovarsky Klub Prague bottle
3.3 Good dark lager. Enjoyed it from 0,5 l bottle along with grilled chicken breasts. Bingo!
3.5 500ml bottle from Beers of Europe and drunk on 13/08/2007. Really nice dark lager with quite a good coffee, roasty flavour and crisp finish.
2.9 0.5 l bottle. Pours clear mahagony with minimal head. A: roasty, T: low carbonated, medium body, roasty malt, dark chocolate, bitter finish,
3.0 Boca 0,5L - kupljena u Češkoj - skroz korektan tamni lager..lagan pitak suh, nekako kremast..
3.6 W zapachu opalony spód od ciasta, wzorowo. Bordowe z pianką. W smaku wyraźnie palone, spód od ciasta jest. Przyjemna goryczka dobrze kontruje wrażenie słodyczy. Lekkie, przyjemne, wzorowe.
3.2 Bottle from brewery. Dark brown color with medium off-whit ehead. Aroma of dark malt, light coffee, caramel. Taste, roasted malt, caramel, light coffee. Standard Czech dark lager.
2.8 Bottle. 4.7%. Best before 28.10.19. Pours a clear, deep golden/chestnut brown, with a diminishing, tan head. Decent lacing. Malty aroma, on a fruity background. Light hops. Hints of bread, chocolate, increasing as it warms. Flavour is the same, though a bit more on the fruity side; berries. Milky hint. Metallic note. Light stale bread/cardboard note as it warms. Mildly bitter finish at first, but increasing as it warms. Hints of coffee and (dark) chocolate, lingering, followed by a grassy note. Overall okay, if rather generic. 08.08.19.
3.3 Tap at Pivovarsky klub. Quite your standard commercial dark lager fare in Czech. Rather sweet and caramelly, with only very restrained roast. Full body, moderate carbonation. Pretty clean though, drinkable. Good.
3.3 On tap at Pivovarsky klub, Prague. RBESG2019. Dark reddish brown, medium creamy tan head. Aroma is earthy, nutty, toasty, metallic. Light bitterness. Nutty, toasty, herbal, malty. Light body, soft texture. Light, moderately lasting finish.
2.6 Bottle from Albert Butovice I think. Shared with people at Craft Room. Ruby-brown body with an off-white head. Creamy aroma, raisins. Dry raisiny taste, sweetish, ending dry. Unimpressive, simple. Not the worst dark lager around, not the best one either.
3.1 Good but rather average czech dunkel. I do not really remember its taste so it must have been average
3.4 Dark color, big foam. Aroma with caramel notes. Taste is little sour, with good bitterness. Not bad.
2.7 Bottle. Pours caramel brown with light beige head. Aroma is malts, some caramel, light hops, light paper notes, some grain. Taste is malty, some roast, light caramel, sourish notes, light. Drinkable beer!
2.8 Re-rated based on the checklist. Smell-weak malt, roast, faint caramel. Foam- thin, roast, malt, weak bitter tones. Head is quite large, brown-white color. Sticks. Appearance- brewer bottle cap, simple label. Clear ruby-brown-ish color, no carbonation. From- pint Taste-weak malt, faint roast, caramel. Faint sweetness, and then some bitterness. Nothing special, but a bit better than the light version. Old score: 16.09.18 6/3/6/3/12 = 3,0 Smell - weak, roast. Foam - thin, soft, but watery, some bitterness, little to no carbonation. Taste - bitter, little sweet, but generally meh.
2.5 Paahtoa, tummaa siirappia.
