4.1 Clear golden tan in color... Aroma of citrusy hops, grapefruit, some pine... Medium body, lots of citrusy and piney hops, light malts, lingering hop finish.. Delicious
4.3 another winner from Boneyard, they make a lot of really good beers. 7/29/2018. This is a very delicious IIPA. It is well balanced with sweetness and bitterness. The alcohol is just barely present in the taste. If I want something strong this is my go-to beer. It's not too strong, but strong enough.
3.6 Sample at TCBW 2018. Pours golden yellow colour. Thin white head. Fruity, bit sweet, citrussy aroma. Tastes like old-school classical IPA. Rather sweet, grassy and fruity at first. Sweet, fruity in the middle. Apricoty finish. Slightly sweet, fruity and citrussy aftertaste. Sweetness leaves mouth dry at the end. Not so juicy as Incredable Pulp.
3.9 Fat på Mikkeller. Maltig tung tung doft men ändå frisk. Smaken först krämig men sedan är det någon pilsnersmak som slår igenom. Beskan rätt ok men ingen höjdare. Ok öl

3.6 Pours clean dark orange. Aroma is dominated by pine, but also oranges and other citrus fruit. Taste is a bit herbish and piney. ABV well hidden.
3.8 September 2017 - Keg at Beavertown Extravaganza. As 'Boneyard Hop Venom'. Hazy amber, still, foamy off-white head leaves dotted lacing. Aroma is very resinous, vibrant and juicy with lots of orange citrus, pithy with more resin. Body is a little frothy with tingly carbonation. Taste is orange peel and resin, spiced orange, dusty bitterness to finish. Pretty good. (8-4-8-3-15=3.8)
3.7 Pine, dry, bitter sweet tropical fruits, juicy citrus fruits, orange. Clear gold, small, creamy, white head. Light bitter. More bitter mango and passion fruit rind, soft carbonation, medium bodied. Nice IIPA, rich and well-balanced. Keg at Beavertown Extravaganza 2017, Canada Water.
4.1 On tap at the Good Hop, Oakland. Pours hazy orange with medium white head. Good lacing. Hoppy, citrus, orange, strong pine, resinous, lots of caramel, sweetness, lasting bitter finish. Medium+ bodied. Old school DIPA, well executed.

3.6 Keg at BE. It pours orange with a small white head. The aroma is soft, sweet, juicy, tangy, orange candy, tangerine, candy, sherbet and bread. The taste is crisp, dry, bitter, pithy, juicy, tangy, tangerine, light booze, tangy, pine, hop bite, resin, marmalade and bread with a drying finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Decent hop hit.
3.7 What’s Brewing 2016, day 1. Hazy orange body with white head. Aroma is piney with citric notes and caramel. Taste of sweet orange jam with light bitterness and tropical fruits late in the finish. Resiny aftertaste. Not bad.
3.7 On tap. Poured a cloudy golden to amber color with a smaller sized off white head. Citrus, floral and pine.
3.8 Aromas of fresh hops, tangerine, golden malt extract, caramel, pines, hop oils and earthy resin. Pours a peach/copper appearance with a thin white foam. Taste brings very fresh hops, citrus, lemon peel, pines, fresh mango, grapefruit, butterscotch, candied caramel, alcohol sugars and a slight peanut butter twang. Finishes bitter with residual hop oils, leafy hops, pines and slight tangerine and noticeable alcohol. Overall, a pleasant representation of the style boasting fresh hops and bitter pines.
3.9 Pours a golden clear color with off white head. Dank pine floral hop aroma and taste. Notes: on tap at the Brewery June 17
3.7 Draft. Gold in colour with medium carbonation. Aromas are of potent grapefruit and orange peel, along with some substantial pale malt and a hint of spice. Fairly smooth on the palate with a strong-yet-balanced pale malt to citric hop ratio. Medium bitterness. Not quite the full on hop assault plus super dry malt take on the style that I prefer, but still damn tasty.
4.2 I’m spending the month of May focusing on going back and retrying beers I’ve had in the past few years, seeing if my taste has changed, and giving fantastic beers a chance to be enjoyed again and again. Though this is a regular practice for me, I’m trying to focus on it more so than usual. So when I saw this classic on tap at Hop and Hound, I found a perfect candidate for my experiment. One problem. Somehow I never took notes on this one. How is that possible? I have had this beer countless times. This beer is partially responsible for beginning my journey into craft beer. This was possibly the first imperial IPA I ever loved. I can recall visiting Boneyard early on, with Tcon25, and talking with the brewer while enjoying this same beer, while discussing beer, in their closet sized taproom. That’s what craft beer is all about for me. A beer is as good as the situation and experience surrounding it. This beer has a history behind it for me. Damn, I just wish I had taken some tasting notes on it before. Two pints of it today will give me a solid start. Shiny golden orange pour. Thin, oily film head. From a distance, a strong aroma of grapefruit. Cool flavor, more grapefruit, moderate bitter hops. An incredible hop profile on this. A huge IPA that drinks as smooth as any of them. Cool, slightly creamy finish, with another late grapefruit reminder. This is the original bad ass imperial IPA for me. This beer does not suck. At all. I guess a year from now, I’ll find this, retry it, and ask myself why I used to ramble so much during my ratings.
3.8 Poured from the tap. Orangey yellow with off white head. Caramel malt with fairly juicy citrus hops, hint of grass and pine hops on the finish.
3.9 Tap at apex in Portland. 12oz. Copper with big white head. Piney nose. Pine hop taste . Sticky and oily . Medium body that has moderate finish. Good work.
3.8 32 oz crowler- Pours mostly clear golden with a medium white head and cobwebby lace. Aroma is spicy hops, citrus, some sweet malt, but mostly hops, and fairly subdued. The taste is syrupy malt, a bit of caramel, spicy hops, piney, citrus, pineapple. Overall seems to be a pretty standard DIPA, solid yet fairly forgettable actually.
3.7 Draught at Beer Hall SF. Amber color, white head. Bitter taste with citrus, resin, caramel, hops, pine and mango. Bitter finish with citrus, resin, hops, mango, pine and grass. Excellent imperial IPA.
4.0 Draught at Growler Guys. This was a rich orange in color with super juicy tropical notes. Really good.
3.6 Tap. Murky copper brown. Eggshell head. Citrus, light pine, light caramel sweetness in aroma. Flavor is the same but with more toffee and late dry herbal hops. Medium to thicker body. Old school but xolid.
3.7 Tap. Deep golden body with a small lacing, off-while head. Aroma of grapefruit, orange, orange zest, caramel and dried fruits. Sweet flavor that ends up being more dry and bitter. Sweet flavor that ends up being more dry and bitter. Medium bodied, oily texture and soft carbonation. A very nice DIPA. 🌟🌟🌟🌟
