Boon Framboise

Raspberry lambic was once a rarity and only produced for a few weeks during the summer. Frank Boon was the first brewer to again prepare a raspberry lambic in the summer of 1976. More than 300 grams per liter of fresh raspberries give Framboise Boon a fresh fruity taste. The young lambic supports the flavor. But this is very much about raspberries, not the lambic. Of course we do not use artificial flavorings, only real raspberries. Boon Framboise has an alcohol volume of 5%. Drink it when it is young.

3.5 25 cl bottle @ home. Pours red with a white head. Aroma and flavour are raspberries, vanilla, and wood - with a slighly dry finish.

3.6 Piana koloru białego z czerwonym, prawie w ogóle się nie pokazała i szybko zanikła. Kolor prześwitujący karmazynowy. Aromat malin, cytryny, kwasku. Smak sporo goryczy, przeplecionej smakiem malin z cytrynami, a zatem słodycz również się pojawia, na początek ma się wrażenie sporej wytrawności, z czasem jednak robi się nieco delikatniej. Piwo pijalne i orzeźwiające.

4.0 Bouteille de 25 cl, 5% d'alcool, parfait pour ce samedi midi. La framboise est bien mise en avant, elle va extra bien avec le lambic! La bière est légère, pas très complexe mais fruitée, pas acide et légèrement sucrée. En tout cas originale sans être très difficile de la trouver!

2.9 2017 vintage. Aroma of raspberry. Ok not really my goto style but does what it says on the tin. Light sweetness combined with the tartness of the fruit. Low abv. Quite thin on the mouthfeel. Refreshing enough.

4.0 375 ml bottle of the 2017 vintage. Appearance is a darkish ruby red, topped with a finger of off white froth which does not persist for long, but can be regenerated by swirling. Aroma is fruity, raspberry mainly. Taste is raspberry sweet over a light lambic sour. As stated, it is mainly about the sweetness of the raspberries. Gentle carbonation and a medium to full-bodied mouthfeel round this one off. Very nice!

3.6 375 ml bottle. Pours a dull dark pink with an instantly dissipating pink head. Huge raspberry scents. Drier than sweet with raspberry flavors and an astringent fizzy mouthfeel that leaves a sour finish. Nice.

3.5 A: raspberries, and the cherries are quite present, light oak, really subtle funk. App: dark reddish pink with small white head. T/p: med body with light to med long acidic finish. Moderate carbonation O : This is not tart enough for my liking and the cherry take quite a bit of space. It's too bad cause raspberries is truly the fruit I prefer in my beers.

3.4 Und noch ein Lambic aus Belgien. Auch dieses erfreut mit frischen Fruchtnoten und einer sortentypischen Säure. Dabei kommen vor allem Himbeeren zum EInsatz. NIchts alltägliches, aber geschmacklich wirklich gut komponiert ist.

4.0 Schönes rötliches Bier, flacher schaum, im Geruch herb Himbeere, im Geschmack satt frische Himbeere leichte Säure süß herber Abgang, lecker

4.1 0,375l Flasche mit Champagner Korken. 2016 abgefüllt. Braun-rotes Bier, dünner Schaum. Es duftet wunderbar nach Himbeere und Kirschwasser. Frisch süsser Himbeergeschmack. Etwas Kirsche. Lecker.

3.7 Jolie robe rouge, assez limpide, mousse rosée moyenne qui se stabilise sur un fin col. Nez de framboises évidemment avec également une note de son et de céréales. En bouche, framboises à fond la caisse avec une note acide de pomme granny. Bonne carbo, sucrée, légère acidité. Très facile à boire, agréable, peut-être un peu trop sucrée et manque de complexité face à d'autres lambic framboises plus élaborées

4.0 I love this beer! Slightly sour with amazing raspberry taste. Also very pretty looking.

2.3 Dark red with a pink frothy head. Smell of raspberries with a hint of hops. Same with the taste, raspberries and hops, but with an additional acidity.
