Boon Kriek Mariage Parfait
Kriek Mariage Parfait is an Old Style Kriek of exceptional excellence. 400 g of wild cherries per litre are fermented together with a strong Lambic of spontaneous fermentation and aged on 6,200 litre oak foudres (large wooden casks) for 5 to 6 months. Kriek Mariage Parfait is naturally clarified and referments in the bottle. It is unsweetened, unfiltered, unpasteurised and has no artificial flavours, preservatives or colourings added. Brewed in Lembeek, the village that gave Lambic its name. Pour slowly in a flute glass without disturbing the yeast sediment in the bottle and enjoy this epitome of traditional Lambic brewing.

Czerwone, zmętnione, ładna piana. W aromacie nuty dzikie, winne, wiśnie, czerwone jabłko, alkohol. Zapach wydaje się z jednej strony nieułożony i szorstki, a z drugiej łagodny i harmonijny. W smaku kwaśne, dzikie, umiarkowanie słodkie, taniczne w sposób kojarzący się z czerwonym winem.
25.3.2021: 375 ml bottle at home, 8% ABV, harvest 2017, bought at La Mise En Biere, Lausanne. Pours a lightly hazy wine-red with an unstable pinkish white head. Lots of cherries in the aroma - sweet cherries, mild wood, vanilla, hints of sherry, mild acidic funk, dark berries, overripe blackberries. Medium to medium-full body with an average carbonation, a medium acidity and a medium bitterness. Flavor of cherries, dark cherries, red wine, tannic woody notes, vanilla and unripe gooseberries. Finishes pretty dry with residual notes of cherries, wood and a woody tartness and lightly astirngent. Overall really good with nice cherry flavors and lots of wood and tannic notes.

Backlog. Purchased in Brussels though I forget where. 2013 bottle. Drank in late 2019 or early 2020. I really should put dates on these notes.
Pours ruby red very with a small head. Funky, earthy, cherry, horse blanket aroma. Flavor is of tart cherries, earth, and funk. Noted it seems a little watery but is a good, complex lambic.

375 ml, 2014 vintage. Dark red, medium sized foamy head. Heavy reed wine, a lot of balsamic vinegar, funk, red currant, some cherry, oak barrel notes, basement notes. Acidic sourness. Medium bodied, oily texture, lively carbonated, dry acidic finish. Really nice.
375ml bottle from Hopt, France. 2019 edition. Pours red/people, hazy, with fine intense pink foam, fine. Aroma is red grapes and cherry. Body is average, with a nice tickling soft carbonation. Taste is moderately sweet at first, and then delicately sour. Final is thin but delicately sour.

Superbe bière , la robe est rougeâtre comme la plupart des kriek. Le nez est porté par les effluves de cerises puis du côté vinaigre De la lambic. La mousse est légère . Le goût est porté sur le fruit et la lambic. L’acidité est parfaitement dosé.
After pop up the cork, the aroma, the gas of fruity scent. A touch of sweet amd sour of cherry. Balanced!
A 375ml corked and caged bottle, 2018 vintage, with a best before date of 24th June 2039. Poured into a Boon stemmed glass. It was a cloudy cherry red colour, with a two fingered pinkish head that dissipated fairly quickly but settled to a thin cap, while leaving some nice lacing. Aromas of cherry, oak, apple, and a touch vinous and funky. Tastes lightly sour, tart, cherry, dried cherry, vanilla, oak, funk, with some vinous notes. Dry, light to medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Overall good cherry aroma and flavours with an interesting mix of oak, vanilla and funk.

Piana średnia, szybko opada do firanki, rubinowo-czerwona, klarowna barwa. W zapachu intensywne, dojrzałe wiśnie, pestki, stare drewno... W smaku dość kwaśne, lekko cierpkie, taniczne, wiśnie dominują, w tle czerwone wino, drewno, pestki, migdały, lekka skóra. Średnie, drobne wysycenie, bogate i wyraziste w odbiorze. Klasa, warto było poleżakować te kilka lat.

Bottle at Stadin Panimo, 2017 vintage. Clear ruby red. Cherry, wine yeast, dust, apples. Full-bodied, quite red wine-like in palate, slightly watery. Quite nice.
Mostly sweet and mildly sour cherry smell, mixed in with alcohol. The dry bitterness strikes the tongue immediately and lingers long. The cherry is there, but in the background. The good part is that this beer has only a mild sweetness, unlike many other fruity lambic beers, with acidity and bitterness much more in the forefront. It tastes purely natural, but is not for the faint-hearted.
(Bottle) Murky brownish red body with a small light pink head. Aroma of sour cherry, vinegar, wood, light spice. Light bodied, little carbonation. Flavor is moderately sweet, strongly tart and vinegar; dark cherry, light wood, spice.

375 ml bottle. Pours a dull brown with an immediately disappearing pink head. Big sour smells. Sweet sour cherries and earthy backbone flavors with a bit of warming burn. Tart dry mouthfeel and a loooong sour (but not overpowering) lingering finish. Sour lambic fruit classic. 2015 bottling.
2014 vintage. Red body with no head. Aroma is malts fruits sour cherries. Taste is sour cherries malts fruits hints of booze and vinegar. Aftertaste is nice balanced. Nice one.
Аромат неплохой, сразу есть сухость, немного ягод, красная смородина, черешня с косточкой. Цвет кроваво красный и насыщенный, пенки почти нету, но по началу красная и красивая. Вкус хороший но все же не такой яркий как хотелось бы. Смородина почти полностью ушла, есть вишня но не черешня, хотя при этом косточка как от черешни после глотка. Кислинка прям яркая в послевкусие но не долгая. В целом хороший ламбик но не топ.
Bottle (2015). Tmava hneda farba, biela pena. Vona karamel, kakao, prezrete ovoxie, kyselkavost visni, sladke drievko. Chut ovocna, visne, mierne karamel. Trpko-horka dochut.
2014 vintage poured for the birth of my first born. With this sort of beer, you can taste the craft. Deep sour cherry, only a little natural sweetness, but otherwise all fruit. A fairly dry aroma with natural cherry blossom. Deep ruby red body. Super smooth and almost creamy.

Pours red, carbonated, pink hued head, medium retention and some sticky legs.
Cherry and funk on the nose, woody.
Tastes quite sour, with lingering wood, red wine, molasses and dominant cherry.
Light bodied, good carbonation, very easy to drink. A great Kreik Lambic!

Pours ruby red, a finger of an off-white head, visible carbonation and good lacing, no sediment. Aroma of wood, cherry and funk, cherry is very powerful. Tastes tart, cherry is all over the place, and so it's wood. Fruity, smooth, soft carbonation, dry finish. An excellent and polite beer, overall.
Acidité très bien contrôlée, goût de cerise excellent avec une finale sauvage. Belle mousse au départ mais sans avoir une effervescence exagérée. Une des meilleures Kriek que j'ai eu la chance de goûter.
