3.8 Bottle shared by Jack, thanks! Pours a near clear straw yellow with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma is full of funk with some leaves and sour light fruits backing. Flavor has sour light fruits and funk with a bit of bread underlying.
3.9 Fra flaske. Gylden med hvidt skum. Aroma af citrus, lime, funk, fad. Smager syrligt og let bitter. Citrus og grapefrugt. Medium krop. Tør finish
3.7 Semi hazy yellow liquid, large head. Aroma of Geuze Boon. Light body, average carbonation. Taste is sour, a bit mat.
4.2 Bottle at ujh. Pours golden with whiteish head. Aroma is sour, funky, dry, fruity, some rubber. Flavor is sour, bitter, sweet, funk, oak, calvados. Finish is sour and fruity. Feels light, carbonation is on the high side. Overall: great, classic boon style lambic.
4.2 Bottle sample at a tasting at zvsn's place. Thanks tomer. Slightly hazy golden-orange with white head. The aroma has notes of yeasts, hay, funk, wood, unripe apricot, very fruity, almonds, Calvados and herbs. The flavor is sour and mild bitter with notes of funk, lots of wood, unripe apricot, yogurt and herbs. Medium-bodied.
4.0 Bottle, thanks tomer. Hazy orange with a big stable head. Lot of oak and wood in the nose, funky, Brett, herbal notes. Sour flavors of apples, oak, calvados, lemon, leafs, Brett, green apples skin. Medium-bodied, fizzy. Great.
3.9 (750ml bottle from Mikkeller Webshop) Pours a nearly clear pale orange with a decent-sized and stable head of white froth. Aroma of tart green apple, citrus peels, touch of pit fruit, a little lactic acid, fair amount of wood, dry leaves, touch of leather, soft Brett, some Calvados quality that makes the apple more prominent than most Boon. Flavour is lightly tart up front, mix of green apple, lemon peels, soft lactic acid, cereals, moderate wood, a little grass, funk is extremely light and limited to a feeling of fresh cheese. Middle to finish becomes bone-dry, rather crisp and mineral, though there's some lactic rounded creaminess as well, lingering notes of lemon pith and apple skins. Soft short aftertaste. A bit like Black Label with a hint of Calvados, but also rather softer on the bitter old hop and wood quality. Quite drinkable, subtle barrel overall, but a nice geuze.
3.9 Shared at a tasting, many many thanks SlackerMads, medium fizzy bubbly head, hazy apricot orange color, lots of wood in aroma at first, but mellows down in time, light apple, calvados, hint of rotten oranges and parsley, fruity apple flavor, orange peel, calvados, yoghurt sourness, a bit of tannins. A bit harsh at first but opens up considerably, really good.
3.7 Bottle at Taps Beer Bar, Changkat, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a hazy golden colour with a frothy white head. The aroma is yeasty citrus. The flavour is moderate sour with a fresh, crisp, big dry yeast, tart fruity palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.
4.4 It would make a lot of sense to classify this beer under the name Mikkeller / Boon Oude Geuze (Calvados) Small yellowish head, bit irregular and rather stable for gueuze, over hazy orange-golden beer. Mix of vinous and horseblanket/farmyard aromas, bit of chalk, cardboard, buckthornberries, crabapples. Lemon, malonic acid; vinous character, old wood/barrels with of course more farmyard flavours. Again strange fruit, again buckthornberries come to mind. After some time, a lingering, soft sweetness appears. Very clear palate, as cleansed by the acids. Spritzy, mild acidthinning. Another topgueuze.
3.0 keg at mikkeller 2018 yellow... Hazy amber.. Thin white lacing.. soft funk fruit nose.. Light sharp funk fruit
4.0 Hazy orange amber color with a white head. Aroma is barnyard funk, leather, oak, light vanilla, funky. Medium bodied, funky, complex, fairly textbook and definitely enjoyable.
4.2 750 ml bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 11/22/2016. Pours slight hazy pale golden yellow color with a 2-3 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with awesome retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice dense soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a large amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big tart lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, citrus peel/zest, peach, pear, melon, red/green apple, white wine, peppercorn, cork, wood, leather, musty funk, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, slight white wine vinegar, and yeast/oak earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/funky/spicy yeast, oak, and moderate pale/wheat malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tart lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, citrus peel/zest, peach, pear, melon, red/green apple, white wine, peppercorn, cork, wood, leather, musty funk, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, slight white wine vinegar, and yeast/oak earthiness. Light-moderate peppery yeast spiciness, and light wine tang/tartness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, citrus peel/zest, peach, pear, melon, red/green apple, white wine, peppercorn, cork, wood, leather, musty funk, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, slight white wine vinegar, and yeast/oak earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/spicy yeast, oak, and moderate pale/wheat malt flavors; with an amazing malt/spiciness, and light tart/tangy wine balance; with no puckering/astringent flavors after the finish. Moderately crisp/clean finishing. Moderate increasing dryness from spiciness, wine tang/tartness, and carbonation. High carbonation and medium body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy/sticky/tannic, and lightly acidic/tandy balanced mouthfeel that is fantastic. Zero warming alcohol for 6.4%. Overall this is a fantastic gueuze! All around outstanding complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/spicy yeast, oak, and moderate pale/wheat malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, clean, and refreshing to drink with the moderately spicy/tannic/drying finish. Very classic and well developed barnyard Brett funk complexity; nice oak foeder presence, and pale/wheat malt backbone. Mild overall lacto presence. A highly enjoyable offering, and spot on style example as expected of Boon.

4.0 De Geuze van Boon, gerijpt door Mikkeler op Calvados vaten, veel om niet te zeggen zeer veel finesse in het glas, een leuke ontdekking
3.7 750. Aroma corky and woody, lambic originale. Flavor is very Boon, maybe a bit more acidic. A little sweeter than expected.
3.9 From: 0.75 l Aroma: delicious sour funk tartness that I'm not educated enough to expound upon Appearance: slightly haze yellow gold with a small bubbly head that fades quickly Taste: crazy sour funk and tartness, apple notes? Palate: light, super fizzy and carbonated, quite a bit of pucker in this one. Overall: very enjoyable but in small doses. The pucker is real.
3.6 Pours a clear dark straw colour. Aromas of tart apple but also old hops. Taste is light with mineral brett notes and mild apple sauce. Aftertaste is light and mineral. Easy sipper of a gueuze with surprisingly little barrel influense.
3.9 Bottle at home. Pours hazy orange with a medium, frothy white head, long retention. Moderate lactic acidity, earthy black walnuts, stale earthy hops, light grainy malt and a dry finish. Light body and moderate carbonation.
4.1 Cloudy. Light bronze colour. Large, bubbly head. Aroma is lime, peach, and musk. Taste is quite citric with plenty of funky goodness. High carbonation.
4.1 Bottle. Musty barnyard, apple, biscuit malt, and straws aroma. Hazy golden yellow with moderate head. Mildly sweet apple, biscuit malt, and mildly bitter musty very dry hay flavor. Nice body and balance. Very pleasant - nicely fruity and dry.
3.5 Huge thanks to Erzengel for sharing! Looks good in the glass, quite zippy, small head. Dry sourish aroma. Starts quite dry, tart sourness, fruity notes of sour apricot. Finish a bit woody-sourish. Nice one!
3.4 Bottleshare (75 cl) at Saliga Munken, Norrköping, Sweden. CLear golden, brief white head. Fruity, cidery, minerally. Semi dry, medium acidity.
3.3 Blond colour with quick fading fluffy head. Aroma has an occasional waft of clove. Flavour has some soft, caramelised banana sweetness. Not much real calvados flavour but the sweetening effect adds balance. Really clean finish.
