2.1 330ml bottle. Look - clear gold, fizzy white top, high looking carbonation. Aroma - sweet malts, touch of grain, fairly clean Taste - sweet malts, corn syrup, grains; not great Palate - light with a slight syrupy texture, high carbonation. Overall - poor standard lager but far from the worst.
1.9 33 cl. bottle at home. Low and quickly disappeairing fluffy white head. Clear yellow golden body. Weak sweet malt straw aroma and flavor with unpleasant butter notes. Little hops bitterness, high carbonation, short finish.
1.3 Review: 330ml bottle of Leo Beer: 5.0% vol. In cans and bottles. The colour is a pale golden yellow with a small white head, that does die a death very quick. Some carbonation and the general look is ok. Lovely aroma on the nose, a nice beery smell, a little sweet but nice, even if its a little faint. Sweet corn, the hops and yeast and mild grains…… A lager taste is there for sure, but on the low level, watered down and with minimal hop presence. Light grains and that’s about it really. Also a bit raw and a slight astringent aftertaste. Not nice, no flavours and not smooth or crisp enough to be enjoyed. A nothing beer. Rubbish beer, forgettable, tasteless, not enjoyable, I will pass on this…… Have tried Chang and Singha Premium and I have to say this is also a Thai beer that doesn’t do it for me. Perhaps it’s better in Thailand, but I can only go on what I get in the local off license and this beer is pretty tasteless, typical of Asian beers in general.
3.1 Had this beer a few times. Both in Thailand and Australia, where I pursued this example from ALDI Very thin and bland tasting but it does the job of refreshing you while you're in the yard working and it's 31C. Tastes better as it warms up but not by much. Leaves a sweet corn flavour on my long moustache. Better value than Corona for the same effect
1.3 Bottle in Summer 2016. Light malty and sweetish though ultimately excessively watery swill.
2.9 Can from the Asia shop at Karstadt in Hamburg - golden color, white head. very grainy, malty. medium sweet. it is rather flavorsome to my surprise, not the standard rice lager I expected and the score would suggest. I'd buy it again. easy, crisp and okay.
1.2 Clear golden color with white head. Aroma of malt and bread. Taste is light bitter, watery, notes of malt. Boring.
2.3 Clear yellow with small white head. Light smell of sweet malt. Taste is light, bit malt and bitterness. Not much character.
2.3 Aroma of strong sweet malt Piss colour with small head Taste of mild sweet malt. Very quick to dissipate Low carbonation with fizzy watery mouthfeel Meh
2.1 Horrible industrial lager. Tastes little, and what little there is is bad. Bland swett and watery.
2.2 Dorée avec légère mousse. Nez malté, note houblonnée et noisette typique lager. Gout malté un peu céréales, acidulkée, légère amertume. Fin sèche. Très classique
2.1 Aroma 4. Appearance 3. Taste 4. Aftertaste 2. Overall 8. Malt and corn syrup aroma. Grain taste, some sweetness, with a bit strange/metallic aftertaste.
2.4 Aroma: Sweet corn and fruits. Flavour: Fruity sweet with sweet corn and a fruity sweet finish. Colour: Amber with a white head. From: Bottle @ Aldi Tilst Feb. 2020.
2.0 THT January. Bottle. Clear pale golden. Sweet malts, papery. Moderate sweet and bitter. Under medium body and soft carbonation.
2.7 strågul, korn, lett sødme, tynn og kjedelig.................................
1.5 Tja. Lys farge. Nesten ikke skum. Nesten ikke lukt. Nesten ikke smak. Nesten så jeg ikke drikker hele. Men det er varmt, så ok.
2.0 Canned 320ml. -Courtesy of Marko, shared with him and hrabren. Pale golden coloured, small white head, weak grainy nose. Cereals, light grainy, slightly sulphury and watery finish. Usual.
2.3 Huge thanks Bisera for bringing it from Thailand! Pale golden body, white head. Funky herbal aroma, sweetish, eggy, strange but not unpleasant. Lean taste, sweet, corky, eggy, herbal. Mleh, a somewhat drinkable typical tropical lager.
3.2 11.2 oz bottle pours a clear pale golden with a medium white head. Mellow malt grain aroma. Mildly sweet malt with a light grassy hop bitterness on the finish. Smooth very drinkable lager.
2.8 0.33 l can thanks to Ogi. Shared with him and Marko. Pale golden, small off-white head. Aroma is light grain, grass, some green apple. Very light, medium to full body. Finish quite bready. No hops. Light finish.
2.9 Tap @ Konsiam live bar, Thailand Phi Phi Don XI 2019. Lichte mout met de juiste bitter wat je van een pilsje mag verwachten. Mooie standaard goed doordrinkbaar Thai biertje wat we de hele vakantie dronken. Helder geel met witte schuimkraag. Origineel glas
3.0 Bottle of 32cl ?, in a Tumbler glass; from the fridge. A okay lager, refreshing. Nice pale golden colour. Usual malty aroma and taste.
2.3 The third of the top selling brands of industrial pale lager in Thailand, after Singha (by the same brewery) and Chang. Bottle from a Thai supermarket in the Ghent railway station neighborhood – (one of totally those unexpected ticks I suppose). Eggshell-white, thick and mousy, cobweb-lacing, foamy but thinning and eventually all but dissolving head, cristal clear and pure ‘metallic gold’ colour with lively sparkling. Aroma of damp straw, corn water, cold cooked rice, withering grass, damp kitchen cloth, soggy white bread, minerals. Sweet-graininess dominating, fizzy carbonation, very slick with that dull sweetish-maltose and cheap-grainy effect forming the main flavour – and basically the only flavour. Tad metallic, with still – and much to my surprise – a simplistic and brief, yet clearly identifiable grassy hop bitter accent in the finish; the sweet-graininess however keeps dominating, in a very ‘plain’ and one-dimensional way. Simple, industrial Asian lager as expected, perhaps a tad more hop bitter than ordinary Singha but otherwise in the same league. Not good at all, like any standard macro lager, but certainly not worse than expected either.
5.0 Leo is my favourite Thai beer.
2.4 Oct 2019. Bottle in Bangkok with Zelie. I've had this a few times yet somehow not rated it. Had it now as part of a taste test with Heineken, Singha, and Chang. They all taste the same. Standard global pale lager.
5.0 I'm a fussy beer guy. I like Imported Stella so when a friend offered me one of these I thought it was going to taste like crap. But instead I quite liked it and even tasted like imported Stella. I also had it out of the bottle not the can.
4.4 En fin pilsner selvom den er billig. Fin sødme og en meget let humle. En god øl i varmen.
2.1 Washington DC tasting collective event at a Burmese restaurant. This beer is from Thailand and is probably better with the food from Thailand.
2.2 Robe paille limpide, mousse très abondante mais très peu durable. Carbo correcte. Nez de lager indus, chimique. Attaque légère, aqueuse, légère amertume peu agréable, pointe de grain. Classique, bof.
1.1 Watery taste, hi level of carbonation.
