Beer Tribute to the famous Antwerp Red Star LIne, this ’transatlantic’ Amber-Red ale is a ’beer-bridge’ between Belgium and the US, and is a fusion of typical Belgian Brewing tradition with US Craft Influences. Brewed using only malts (4 types) without any added sugar, generous yet balanced in Belgian and US aromatic hops, finished with Ginger and Coriander. A mild and balanced, highly drinkable yet complex ale. Rated World’s Best Pale Ale at World Beer Awards 2016, after winning numerous silver and bronze medals at other contests.

Bottle. Hoppy and malty aroma and taste, citrua fruit, light caramel, light to medium bitter. Medium body, hoppy and light malty bitter finish. Good.
Lekker. Fris. Zachte toets van karamel.
Rödbrun, doft av humle o lite karamell. Smaken har lite syrlighet, som blandas med maltigheten. Lätt sötma övergår i beska på slutet.

Aroma is malt, sweet, yeast, slightly spicy.
Taste is malt, caramel, yeast, spicy, slightly herbal.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a cloudy, dark amber with a lively, white head. Nose has a little caramel and Belgian yeast. Medium-bodied, very Belgian yeast note but luckily not all that fizzy. 161218
De belgiumimabox. En copa Grimbergen. Jugando a Avernum 6. No encontre el jengibre ni los lupulos americanos, pero si un agradable caracter belga con notas acarameladas. Buen "feel"
Zeer smaakvol bier met kruidige en hoppige smaken. Hiernaast ook de smaak van gember terug te vinden.
.33l bottle at home. Pour is hazy and murky orange to brown. Aroma is fruity and sweet. Taste is sweet, malts and sugar, finish is bitter but pleasant.
Bernstein, stabile Krone. Malzig-würziger Duft, angenehme Säure, Koriander und Ingwer runden das Bier gut ab. Relativ viel Frucht, sehr interessantes und leckeres Ale.
Mooie amberkleur. Fruitige toetsen. Framboos / cassis achtig.
Bottle. It pours mostly clear amber with a fluffy off white head. The aroma is fruity hoppy and malty. Spicy yeasty flavor with grassy and fruity hoppy notes. Malty and fruity finish.

Amber, helder, beige schuimkraag, redelijk veel koolzuur.
Aroma: Zoet Moutig, kruidig, iets US hops en dus ook fruitig, iets grassig, bloemig en floraal.
Smaak: Moutig, iets zoet, karamel, kruidig, Belgische gist, koriander, fruitige hint van de hop, Citrus en grapefruit hinten, aardig bitter en droog grassig. Beetje van alles wat.... ook trekjes van een Belgische trippel..... met alleen veel meer en andere hop.
Medium body, voldoende koolzuur.... silky mondgevoel. Afdronk is droog en lang bitter.
Bottle from Sugaya. Nose of malt, caramel, and bit floral, with light citrus. Dark amber color, with a thick, compact, creamy, lasting head. Flavors of caramel, dried fruit, yeast, spice (coriander?), a bit of banana, and thinly bitterness in the finish. Medium body, lightly warming. Pleasant. Certainly a lot more complex and interesting than most amber ales.

Magus puuviljane lõhn. Tunda ka tsitrust, niiet lõhna põhjal eeldaks midagi ipa taolist. Kui maitse on siiski pehme, vähehumalane. Õrnalt hapukas.
Fajna spora i trwala piana, lekko metnista jaskrawo pomaranczowa barwa z refleksem jasnej czerwieni. Pachnie dla mnie o dziwo rumiankiem? Smakowo slodowe piwo fajnie ze bez dodatku cukru ale i tez bez chmielu, czy fajnie. Bogactwo smakow i przypraw to rekompensuje, jest lekka ostrosc imbira, estry kolendry, dla mnie tez cos jakby lubczyk mi sie kojazyl jeszcze. Fajny eksperyment no i marynarska etykieta.
Bottled. An amber beer with a beige head. The aroma has notes of malt and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, and wet hay, leading to a dry finish.
Sample from 33 cl bottle. Clear amber golden colour with a big off white head. Fruity aroma with yeasts and fruity accents. Taste is light sweet. Medium body with a creamy texture and a soft carbonation. Finishes dry and fruity with yeasts. Nice.

Fles. Redelijke amber, niet wereldschokkend; verrassende smaakelementen, dat wel. Lijkt me een uitstekend bier voor een gezellige kroegavond.
