Nearly black with ruby glints and a creamy head, Boréale Noire is a full-bodied stout. Its rich velvety taste suggests dark chocolate and roasted coffee with hints of licorice.

Superbe!
4.0Six-pack bought at the grocery store. I’ve been buying quite a bit of this QC stout lately - pours a deep brown/black, with red hints when held up to a light. Less head than many stouts (actually a nice change from the pillowy nitrogen-foam heads from many canned stouts these days), thin and coffee-coloured, hung around all the way to the bottom of the pint glass. Nice lacing. Aromas of coffee, roasted barley, leather and licorice. Very little hoppiness, ever so slightly sour taste. Emminently quaffable.
3.4Dark to black body, stable head. Dry, toasted, burned bread, cereal. Too lightly hopped for my taste. Especially with its bubbly yet softly carbonated body. Okay stuff. (Bottle from Saveur Bière)
3.8Sehr dunkelbraune Farbe, ordenltiche braune Schaumkrone. Geruch schokoladig, erdig, röstmalzig, wenig rote Beeren. Geschmack süß röstmalzig, viel Karamell, Vanille und Schokolade, lecker!
3.8Bottle, 341mL. Home. Gift from @Jaghana. Merci Pascal! A pitch black beer with a medium beige creamy head ; poor retention. Roasty aroma, chocolate, coffee. Medium sweet, light dry herbal bitter ; light refreshing. Medium body, smooth silky texture, average carbonation, sweet coffee finish. Overall, delicious smooth coffee stout.
3.8Black with medium light brown head. Well roasted malt bitterness, sourness with minimal sweet.
3.5Bottle of 341ml, in a Tumbler glass; room temperature.
Well, that’s a good Canadian beer, and a good stout. Nice aroma and chocolate taste, with espresso notes. The palate is somehow sticky, but good.
Enhanced with a nice brown head, and deep dark colour.
Go get it ( J’ai eu la mienne aux plaisirs d’hiver 2014)
3.1@Plaisirsdhiver2014. "OK Beer"
3.6Bottle 341ml, a dark beer with good creamy copper beer. Nose is on creamy chocolate, light licorice. Aroma is on dark malt, coffee, brown caramel, chocolate dominant, light creamy, toasted nuts, good body, grainy and cereals touch, nice.
3.7341 ml bottle from Gatineau IGA. Pours a very dark brown with small tan head. Aroma is rich roasted malt with coffee and chocolate as well as some molasses. Flavour is also big and roasty with coffee and sweet chocolate main notes, but treacle and nuts also apparent. A little sour lactic character in the finish. By far the best Boreale beer I’ve had.
3.3Bottle 341ml.
Pours very dark brown with low beige head. Good lacing. Aroma is of roasted malt, chocolate, dark fruits. Taste is of roasted malt, sugar, chocolate, very slight bitterness, creamy coffee. Palate: Medium-full bodied. Overall: Decent, tasty classic stout. A bit "pale" and sugary.
Note: 4/5

3.2Bière noire, peu mousseuse.
3.9341ml bottle. Pours black with a tan head. Aroma Is up front with coffee notes, cocoa, vanilla, molasses. Smells tasty. Medium bodied, with light sweetness the taste is mildly bitter with espresso, molasses, and a light vanilla note. My only complaint is that it might be a little over carbonated, but damn, this is a great session stout. Don’t let the simple label, and cheap price fool you. This is a REALLY good stout.
3.0341 ml. bottle. Lighter black with a smaller beige head. Nose is mellow dark fruits nose, sweet, candy, licorice, mellow lightl belgian. Lightly yeasty taste, mellow dark fruits, hint black licorice candy, light herbs, light sweetness, herbs, sugar, quite yeasty, touch belgian. Light body. Overall Ok, but a little bit too light for me. Y
3.5Black colour, beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee, light sweet. Sweet flavour, malty, sweet milk chocolate. Quite creaymy. Short finish, light roasted malts.
A bit too sweet, but nice.

3.6Source : Available everywhere in Quebec, 341ml bottle.
Appearance : Opaque black with a nice brown head.
Aroma : Coffee, roasted malt and brown sugar.
Taste : Coffee and roasted malt.
Palate : Thick and creamy.
Overall : Nice everyday beer.
3.4Bottle (341 ml). Black with a small beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, milk chocolate, coffee and slight liquorice notes. Taste is about the same. Slight bitterness. Medium body. Dry. Good Stout, but I remember it to be better on tap.
3.815/II/13 - 33cl bottle from the Christmas Market in Brussels @ my birthday tasting - BB: I/2013 (seriously? January 2013 and you sell it in December?) (2013-169)
Clear dark brown beer, small aery beige head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: lots of chocolate, grains, hay, stable, caramel, mocha. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: lots of chocolate, mocha, some caramel, little bitter, cocoa powder. Aftertaste: chocolate, mocha, little sour, cocoa powder. Very decent stout.

taste is again a bit smoked , no real stout taste. wish i was warned about this ...
3.4Dark black with a medium mocha head with above average retention. Aroma is roasted malt, coffee and a hint of licorice. Flavor is roasted malt, chocolate, molasses, and sugar. Medium body with average carbonation.
3.8341 ml. bottle split thx to Kraddel. Lighter black with a smaller beige head. Nose is mellow dark fruits nose, sweet, candy, licorice, mellow lightl belgian. Lightly yeasty taste, mellow dark fruits, hint black licorice candy, light herbs, light sweetness, herbs, sugar, quite yeasty, touch belgian. Touch lighter body - okay.
3.833cl bottle ought at the Brussels xmas market. Certainly the best offering out of the 6 beers that were available from Br. du Nord.
3.5Aroma: Roasting, coffee, smoked meat, with notes of black chocolate. Average stout nose sticking out moderately.
Appearance: Opaque black, head is average, creamy and sparkling at the same time, long lasting with a little lacing.
Taste: Coffee accents are dominant and texture is kind of smooth and oily.
We can also find notes of roasted caramel. A good but not exceptional stout.
3.2Havent had this in years, my palate changed a lot. overall id say the same thing as their IPA Boreale never does anything spectacular or out of the ordinary but they make pretty good beer.
