3.2 August 2017 - Cask, gravity, at GBBF 2017, Kensington Olympia. As 'Boulder Beer Mojo'. Pretty sure it's this version. Hazy orange, still with a bubbly white head. Aroma is caramel, malt sugars. Body is smooth with soft carbonation. Taste is a little cheesy, gloopy sugars, some booze showing up, slight mango. Not too fussed. It's OK. Maybe not suited to this dispense. (6-4-5-4-13=3.2)
3.2 Golden pour and a healthy white head. Perfumy taste and a solid bitter back end.
3.7 12 oz can pour is light orange head is medium White Aroma is very grassy and citrus taste follows suit with a lingering hoppy bitterness
3.9 Sampled @ GBBF 2017, Day 3. A hazy orange golden beer with a small white head. Aroma of orange fruits, fruity bitter hops. Taste of intense fruity hops, orange, grapefruit, long bitter finish.
3.8 On tap: hazy gold with pillowy head. Huge grapefruit and orange zest aroma. Piny and slightly bitter, with clean dry finish.
3.6 Fresh bomber. Clear orange with a nice white head that leaves great lacing as it shrinks. Aroma is tropical fruit, honeydew melon, bubblegum, and sweet caramel. Taste is melon, citrus, and pineapple. Pine bitterness kicks in and is joined with a caramel malt sweetness. Finishes a bit sticky and somewhat dry.
3.5 Bottle from Total Wine. Middle of the road ipa. Mineral water meets medium hops. Probably not helped by the neglect of the Total Wine shelves.
3.3 Aroma: Citrus, pine, slight grass and bread. Appearance: Clear amber with a white head. Taste: Citrus, apricot and bread with bitter finish. Palate: Medium, slightly dry. Overall: Apricot and bread taste with a bitter finish.
3.5 Draft Third of a Pint at GBBF 2011 (Day 2), Earl’s Court, London Aug 2011 - Golden/Amber in colour. Hoppy; piney and grassy hops. Fruity; citrus fruit, some grapefruit, and tropical fruit. Malty; toasty malts. Crisp dry finish. Very easy drinking. Decent. (2011-08-03)
3.5 C-. Pours a clear golden color with white head. It’s on the bitter side for my preference.
3.2 Hazy orange pour with thin head. Very restrained aroma with a hint of citrus. Slightly bready/apricot malts upfront and a pleasant bitter finish. Nice but not memorable.
3.3 12 ounce bottle. Some citrus aromas and pale golden in color. Taste is not over hopped and a little after bite on the palate. You get the India Pale Ale profile, just not crazy hopped which makes this drinkable. Overall this is above average for style
3.3 On tap at Akkurat. A bit hazy light orange with a white head. Aroma and taste of caramel, hops, malt and citrus. On the sweet side with a medium body.
3.4 @ Akkurat 16-12-12: rätt maltig ipa med tydliga kolatoner. Helt ok men inget spektakulärt.
3.0 Bottle pour into shaker pint glass from Cigarette City. Appearance is slightly hazy pale orange with greenish tinge, light sparkle, minimal white fizzy head with poor retention, and fair sudsy lacing. Aroma is caramel malt, musty, earthy hops, citrus background. Taste is more sweet malts than bitter earthy hops but a balance. Palate is medium bodied with thick texture, average carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, this was more pale ale than IPA with malt dominance but this was also a little elderly so that may have skewed things.
3.3 BB backlog, Bottle, pours a clearish golden orange with larger white head. Notes of orange and pine hops with some biscuit and caramel sweet malting in the back end. Medium bodied with a crisp finish. Its a little bland and sweet overall. Needed more grapefruit and lemon lime from the amarillo
3.8 pours orange with one finger white head. Aroma is of citrus (a lot of tangerine), pine, grass, bready malts, and some light tropical fruits. Taste is pretty similar to the aroma. Has a medium body with a semi creamy mouthfeel and a semi dry, semi-moderately bitter, medium-long finish. Overall, a pretty solid, pretty hoppy IPA.
3.1 Tap, nitro pour. Hazy medium gold-copper with a nitro head. Nose of pine, oranges, grapefruit. Sweet and malty, apricots, a bit stale. Nitro really doesn’t work.
4.1 $3.99/six pack (plus sales tax) @ Chevron route 66 West (just off the turn to Woodlands) in Flagstaff AZ. Pours amber clear with minimal to no head. Nose is orange (peel?), herbaceous - very nice. Orange and grapefruit dominates the attack in palate, very subtle bitterness (hardcore bitter IPA fans won’t appreciate it). Very nice, subtle and balanced IPA. A go to...
3.4 Draught @ Five Mile Stone. Faintly cloudy dark orange with smallish white foamy head, light bread aroma, low carbonation, lightly bitter taste with tangerine flavor, smooth body, longish finish. Very tasty and enjoyable.
3.8 Can. Nice head with good duration. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are rich bitter hops, fruits, flowers, malt and has a long bitter finish.
3.6 Nitro. Very nice, smooth body, bit creamy. Good pine hope taste. Nice easy drinking ipa.
3.4 bright orange pour. Aroma jammy orange marmelade. Tastes honey, orange. long sharp bitter finish. nice crisp carb. I had a bottle that was very old and it still was quite good.
3.3 Decent light brown appeara, with solid foamy white head. Aroma is a balance of sweet malt and hops... maybe a little too sweet for the style. Taste is very balanced.. a bit of a bitter dry aftertaste. It’s a solid IPA.
4.1 Had a pint of the nitro version at Stubby’s. The pour was a thing of beauty - lacing pretty much left a solid white wall on the glass. It was the smoothest IPA I have ever tried. Flavor was decent pine and citrus but a little watery.
3.4 Tasted from bottle. Pours a fairly clear gold with thick white head. Aroma is sweet when caramel notes. A little citrus. Flavors is moderately bitter with nice moderate malt sweetness. Flavors of coffee, toffee, biscuits, pine and citrus. Overall an average to above average IPA.
3.7 From a can, in Norway. Maybe it should be rated nearer to its home, but I thought this hazy looking taste-bomb from my favorite US state of Colorado went down a treat. A good piney nosetickler, it sure hides its quite potent ABV well. Thank "God" beer is so expensive in Norway or I would be in real trouble. Not that much else I can add to it, a crisp beer I could enjoy at most times, it gave me what I wanted, even though I thought it could have been a bit more "fruity", but like I said, Colorado is a long way from Norway.
3.3 Can. Creamy White good mostly lasting head. Yellow colour. Moderate malty and hoppy aroma. Moderate bitter harsh flavor. Average moderate bitter finish. Oily palate. messy hopprofile.
3.5 Amber. Nose of citrusy pine and some caramel malt. Flavor is floral citrus and mild pine with a lightly sweet caramel malt backbone. Slightly above average IPA.
3.6 Poured into a shaker glass. Golden color with a thin white head. Aroma is mild - a touch sweet and grainy with some grassy hops - this could be a pilsner based on the smell. Hops come through much more in the flavor. Bready malt base with a touch of sweetness and a nice dose of spicy hops. Medium bodied with a long finish. Very sessionable.
