Boulevard Ginger Lemon Radler

Boulevard Ginger Lemon Radler

The Boulevard Radler series is a zesty, refreshing take on the tradition of mixing beer with soda or lemonade to create a light, thirst-quenching beverage, ideal for warm weather. Radler (literally, "cyclist" in German) takes its name from active sportsmen of a hundred years ago, but you can enjoy our version even when doing nothing more strenuous than lifting it to your lips.

3.6 Can, strong ginger flavor, extremely crushable, great pool beer. Good lemon flavors, lightly tart.
3.5 Lemon. Yeast. Malt. Super cloudy funky looking yellow. Bright white fizzy head. Lemony. Fizzy. Crisp. Hint of ginger. Nice summer beer. Needs to be cold.
4.7 Very nice radler sweet at first but finishes with a nice spice of the ginger. Very refreshing
3.4 On tap, West Hills Flats & Taps. Hazy yellow, with a small ring of foam. You pretty much know what you’re getting here - lemonade aroma, and lots of it. Sweet, of course, but not overboard. Maybe a hint of baby aspirin, too. Tart finish.
3.9 This pours a hazy yellow color with a slight white head. The aroma is as described with ginger and lemongrass notes. The taste is sweet and fruity with the lemon and ginger really coming thru. The texture has a nice depth to it that makes it nice without being too watery. Definitely a must try for shandy lovers on a warm summer day.
2.8 12oz can. Small off-white head atop hazy golden straw body. Aroma is medium sweet, lemon, some ginger. Taste is moderately sweet, ginger, some lemon/sour. Soft light-medium body, light acidity, stickiness, low carbonation.
2.8 Nice aroma of fresh lemon, hint of ginger. Nice clear yellow color with a white head. Sweet lemon up front. Watery....ok.
3.5 12 can - the appearance is a somewhat cloudy dull golden yellow with a thin white head that completely dissipates. It smells like what says: lemon ginger malt beverage. Tastes exactly like what it’s supposed to - lemony, gingery juice with a light beer undertone. Not my favorite style but it’s solid refreshing radler.
5.0 The best warm weather beer out there. I actually crave it. Glad it’s back!!!! Keep up the great work Boulevard
3.2 Can. Pours slightly hazed gold with a white head. Fresh ginger and mild lemonade sweetness, with some mild grainy underpinnings. Very drinkable, and the ginger adds a nice refreshing kick.
3.3 On tap in Devilicious, Temecula California on 10th Feb 2017. Not usually a ginger in beer man, or a Radler/Shandy guy either, but my daughter ordered a pint and I had a few gulps and sips to rate it. Blonde, straw coloured body, thin white head. The name says it all really: it’s got loads of ginger and lemon flavours and aromas within it’s make up. Refreshing and highly carbonated, thought it OK, but glad I did not have a pint to drink.
2.4 Can 12fl.oz. @ Craig’s - Edinburgh. [ As Boulevard Ginger Lemon Radler ]. Unclear light yellow color with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy lemon, ginger. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration, lemon - ginger, zesty. Body is medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. [20160319] 5-3-4-3-9
3.6 Super hazy golden coloured body with honey highlights and a two centimetre tall off-white head that fades quickly. Aroma of ginger, lemons, yeast, grain, sugars and way more freshly grated ginger - pungent. Light to Medium-bodied; Assertive effervescence; Strong ginger flavour at first hits hard and strong, then shows a lemon freshness fairly well, along with some more mellow malts and yeast flavours and a bit of pungent honey sweetness on the tail end. Aftertaste is really all about the ginger, lemons and effervescence, which is still present. Overall, a good radler with way more flavour than the german varieties, and although it sort of tastes like a throat lozenge, it has an interesting flavour that is exactly what the can suggests. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Whole Foods in Fair Lakes (Fairfax), Virginia on 02-April-2016 for US$1,99 sampled at home in Washington on 27-October-2016.
2.7 Pours hazy straw color with a 1-finger white head that disappeared quickly. Aroma of lemon with a mild note of ginger. Body is light and a touch oily. A bit of fizziness and a brief finish. Flavor of lemon with a touch of oil from the ginger.
3.5 Pretty good as far as radlers go. Pours a hazy lemon straw yellow with carbonation like a soda. The taste is lemon, ginger, syrup and beer.
3.5 Pours cloudy straw yellow with a small white head, light lacing. Aroma of lemons and ginger. Flavor is sweet, lemon zest and ginger
3.5 Sampled on draft at Vintage Estate this beer poured a murky bright yellow color with a medium sized foamy white head that left minimal lacing. The aroma was tart ginger paste and lemonade. The flavor was strong ginger powder, ginger paste and lemonade. Long intense ginger finish. Medium body. Pretty tasty.
3.2 Poured out of a can, hazy yellow with a nice bit of head. Taste is heavy lemon, with no sign of beer. Not bad, but don’t need more than one at a time.
3.4 Pours from can a cloudy straw yellow with thin white head that fizzes up then vanishes without a trace. Aroma is ginger at first, followed by lemon. On the palate, there’s also a nice ginger flavor but it’s quickly balanced by lemon. Sort of a soda pop feel, but without much carbonation. This is very refreshing when cold, a good drink for a hot summer’s day. Otherwise, I’m not sure that I wouldn’t opt for a ginger-lemonade with a beer on the side.
3.5 Can of Radler. White head. You can smell the sweetness, lemon, and the ginger. Look like cloudy lemonade. Tastes fuzzy on the tongue with lemon being the main flavor. Overall this is a real nice summer beer and is way above average.
3.5 Pours cloudy yellow with a thin head that quickly dissipates to a lacy film before disappearing completely. Aromas of sweet citrus and lime. Flavors are sweet lemon, lime, cut grass, ginger and mild herbs. Pleasantly tart finish. Lively mouthfeel. This is somewhat similar to a 7 Up. Refreshing. Clean, slightly sticky mouth feel. Not bad.
2.7 Pours a hazy golden yellow. Aroma is a little dusty, with lemon and a little ginger spice. High carbonation, with a slightly medicinal twang to the lemon. More lemon than ginger. Not bad, but far from great.
3.2 Pours a hazy straw yellow with a thin white head that does not last. Aroma is ginger and lemon as to be expected. Flavor is much the same. Reminds me of a soft drink more than a beer. Oily mouthfeel. Not my thing.
3.6 12 oz can. Cool looking can. Best by 8/21/16. Pouring into pint glass. Pours cloudy lemonade color with about three fingers soapy white head. Pretty aggressive pour, didn’t expect that much head. Head short lived, no retention no lacing. Aroma is ginger first. Good amount of lemon in there too. Smells like a ginger ale. Tastes good. Good balance of sweet and tart. It is a slight bit sour. It might be leaning toward lemon flavor, but barely. It’s very light. Mouthfeel is very light and refreshing. Semi dry, pretty well carbonated. Slightly sour. This is extremely drinkable. Wow. Overall, this is quite delicious. It could stand to be a little more carbonated, but other than that it’s a delicious darker. Keep in mind, it’s a darker. Yes, I will buy this again, and yes I would recommend it.
3.2 With Z, pours a hazy lemon colored pour with no appreciable head .Taste is through and through ginger and lemon . Taste is unsurprisingly spicy ginger with lemon, with very subtle alcohol ! Finishes on the same spicy tasting notes....poolside or at the beach or after working outside only . A radler and nothing more . Quaff Score 6 / 10
3.2 Can. Pours a hazy pale yellow with a white head and aroma of strong ginger. Taste is of giver as well throughout, along with lemons and wheat leading to a spiced ginger, lemonade finish.
3.1 Pretty good summer refreshing beer. Ginger and lemon-y -- ok, read the label. Good beer
3.5 Bottle from Beltramo’s in Menlo Park, CA. Aroma is ginger and lemon. Refreshing ginger and lemon soda vibes...not picking up much of the beer.
3.4 Can. Pours a hazy yellow with a high, quick-dissipating, coarse-grained head. Great nose: fresh ginger, ginger spice, lemon, lime, lemon peel, and a little lemon candy. On the tongue -- well, alert the media. It’s a beer that says ’ginger’ on the label that actually tastes like ginger. And lemon. Truth in advertising! Shocking. Quite refreshing, quite tasty, and the lemon never manages to creep over into the disgusting territory marked ’Lemon Pledge’. I could drink a lot of this, and probably will.
3.3 Pours a bright yellow with a thin white head. Aroma is ginger and lemon, as advertised. Flavor is similar, having though a lemonade-like taste and feel. Has a light body with some carbonation. I find this refreshing.
