Blonde beer with a full and firm white head. Extremely fruity thanks to a mixture of five different hops and three different malts. Recipe by homebrewer Jacques Bertens, winner of the Brand beer brewing contest 2013.

3.9 Bottle. Clear gold body with a large dense white head. Strong aroma/taste of musk, I guess from the yeast, with a sweetish body and a lightly bitter finish. Light mouthfeel and high level of carbonation. An uncommon and really enjoyable taste profile. Lekker.

2.9 Bottle at home. Not much foam. Light yellow color. This is called "heavy blonde", but the only heavy about this is the abv (8,5%). There are better ones, like the Leffe: less abv, more taste.

2.6 Tap @ Bijzondere bieren bar, Lowlands. Eerste indruk hoe kan dit biertje in de categorie zwaar blond winnaar zijn geworden. Oh wacht het was de brand bierbrouwwedstrijd.... Maar goed ruikt naar mout beetje fruitig oa citrus. Oh moest wel heel hard lachen dat onze smaak experts van Albert Heyn aan gaven dat dit lekker bij loempia en nassie zou smaken. Dat er geen oosters randje aan zwaar donker blond zit oftewel überhaupt helemaal nergens een Aziatische link te bekennen is maakt ze zo te zien geen reet uit. Zolang ze het maar goed verkopen zal wel het credo zijn. En bij de nassi hadden ze waarschijnlijk nog geen biertje wat ze erbij konden aanbevelen. Maar goed smaakt gewoon onder nivo met een best nare nasmaak. Smaakt zoet fruitig/bloemig maar gewoon niet de nasmaak die je wilt ervaren. Je kan het hoppig of met caramout noemen zoals het in folders staat ik noem het gewoon vies na smaakje. Hoop dat die nassi dan wel beter was. Het enige wat dit biertje wel goed doet is het bittertje maar die heb je vast al naar dat je dit biertje per ongeluk besteld hebt.

3.0 Golden color with white head. Aroma is fruity. Tast malt, fruity and some spices.

2.8 Aus der Flasche im Amstelhoeck getrunken. Klares Gold mit stabilem weißem Schaum. Feine tropische Fruchtnoten dominieren. Im Nachtrunk, trotz des gut eingebundenen Alkohols leicht wässrig.

3.3 Pure white creamy head stayed well on a faintly effervescent, light straw coloured body. Yeasty aroma, floral, spicy & hints of malt. Medium bodied. Smooth on the palate, almost creamy. Slight tingle in the throat. Very floral tastes with bitter hops, citrus, yeast, pepper & a light fruity finish. Minimal alcohol presence. Easy drinking.

3.2 0.3 l bottle from ’Van der Velden Wijn & Gedistillierd’, best before July 2017. Clear, golden amber with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, white head. Rather sweetish, quite fruity and slightly yeasty-spicy aroma of lemon peel, coriander and a touch of Belgian candy. Quite sweet, malty, slightly fruity and moderately yeasty-spicy taste of lemon peel, clove, Belgian candy, peach and coriander, followed by a medium long, moderately bitter, rather yeasty-spicy and a bit warming finish. Above medium-bodied, slightly creamy and moderately effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. A bit unbalanced, but still quite pleasant and saturating Ale, not that complex for the abv though.

3.3 F: medium size, egg-white, quick diminishing. C: gold, clear. A: malty, honey, light lemon, spicy, orange peels, perfumed. T: malty, orange peels, spicy, honey, alcohol in aftertaste, medium to full body, soft to medium carbonation, not bad but quite alcohol prominent, 30cl bottle from Jumbo in Marknesse in Netherland.

3.0 33 cL Bottle at home. Pours very clear golden with a medium white head. Aroma is quite sweet with some sugar, flowers, some alcohol, bit of fruitiness. Taste is also quite sweet with some yeast, flowers, bit malty, soft bitter finish. Medium body and carbo. Decent, but nothing too exciting.

4.0 Prima blond bier met veel hop en dito bittere smaak. Klein beerje fruitig. Nederlands topbier!

3.0 12 ounce bottle at the Amsterdam airport that came with a tulip glass. Clear bright golden with a fluffy white head. Pepper and alcohol are tasted. Surprised to see a blonde with this ABV. Some fruit and a little yeast. Some sugar is noted late. That alcohol taste makes this less than enjoyable.

2.6 Bottle from Mam and Dad’s holiday, Netherlands. Bright golden coloured with a thin white head. It has a sweet, warming floral fruit and spicy flavour followed by an earthy and powerful lemon and apple finish. Ok, but too high an ABV for the flavour.

3.4 Fles gedeeld door BramLustenhouwer. Het bier heeft een donker gele kleur met wit schuim. Het ruikt zoet maar heeft een verrassende bitter van de hop.

2.2 Bottle. Color: Clear amber gold, thin white head. Taste: Starting with sweet malts, after that the hop comes in, hints of yellow fruits and alcohol. Bit ’chemical’, not my style.

3.2 On tap at Stadsbrouwhuis Leiden. Clear gold amber lasting white head. Some esters some peach some spicy hop on the finish. Standard belgian blond but thats no bad thing. Ok.

2.9 I must admit: brand beer is not my beer. Nothing wrong with this beer but I just do not get happy from it.

3.2 Bottle 33 cl. Pours a clear yellow to orange with a small white head and an aroma of toffee, brown sugar, sweet malts, banana, citrus and spices. The taste is medium to heavy sweet with a serious amount of hops for a mainstream high-abv beer. Medium long bitter finish. Pretty nice.

3.2 Heavy blond. Goes quickly to the legs. A little sweet but nicely compensated by the hops.

3.0 Redelijk bier maar flink hoppig. Hier moet je van houden. Mijn vrienden heb ik er geen plezier mee gedaan.

3.2 Goud geel, helder, witte schuimkraag die snel zakt. Aroma: Mouten, iets zoetig, kruiden, een hint van vers brood, iets gist / banaan en iets fruitig. Smaak: Mouten, gist, banaan, kruidig en peperige hops, bloemig, tikje zuur. Een redelijke nabitter en een kruidige licht bittere afdronk met flink wat alcohol. Medium CO2 en medium body, afdronk is droog en tikje bitter. Best redelijk voor een massageproduceerd bier.

3.0 Clear blond, a bit dark. medium head. Sweet malt aroma and obvious alcohol aroma. Medium sweet, light bitter in the finish. Thin texture, soft carbonation.

3.4 bread, cereal, grass, dough, banana, medium sweetness, medium bitterness, lightly sour, medium body, creamy, soft carbonation, Quite nice a beer with the sweet and bitter in harmony. For my taste I like a bit More bitter, but this is a good midle of the road in bitter/sweet/alcohol/Body if you aan me. Not bad for a mass production beer!

3.0 Vol, Stevig blond bier, beetje zoetig - gedronken bij Café de Tump in Heythuysen

3.1 Gold to orange, clear, frothy lasting head. A: typical Belgian blonde, malts, banana, citrus, some spice notes. T: relatively low carbonation, sweet malts, some apple flavours, light sour and spicy development. Medium dry finish, citrus.

3.3 Strong, tasteful blonde. Didnt expect that much flavour in this beer, delicious!

3.7 Clear deep golden, thin white head, vanishes quickly, no lacing; light-fruity nose, bread, hint of caramel, bit banana, yeast, citrus, some floral hops; moderate sweetbitter; medium to full body, creamy mouthfeel, oily texture, soft carbonation; dry bitter finish, malty bitterness lingers on.

3.4 clear golden colour, one inch dense white head; aroma of grains, herbal and floral notes, some banana, biscuits and alcohol; taste of malty-sugary sweetness, peppery-spicy notes, some honey, overripe fruits, caramel and alcohol; not bad, but I’m not really satisfied.

3.4 A sweet smell, fruity, some grass. The head is small, white and foamy with a normal duration. The body is yellow. A fruity and light bitter taste, the finish is light metallic. The body is light, light creamy and dry with a lively carbonation.
