Brand Dubbelbock

Brand Dubbelbock

Bottle: Filtered

Ingredients: Natural mineral water, barley malt, hops, hop extract.

Brand Dubbelbock owes its rich and robust flavour to a double ripening. The special blend of roasted malt varieties gives the beer a beautiful, ruby red colour. Brand Dubbelbock is a real autumn beer because of its strong, malty nature. The taste of Brand Dubbelbock is best expressed in a tulip glass.

3.4 F: huge, tan, good retention. C: red coppery, clear. A: malty, caramel, figs, bit chocolate, honey. T: malty, caramel, fruity, bit rum, nutty, bready, medium to full body, medium carbonation, bit simple yet enjoyable for the style, 30cl bottle from Beerwulf webshop.
3.0 Tap @ airport. Pleasant polished bronze color, yellowish foam. Aroma: sweet, malt, jam, dried fruit, apple, wine. Taste: sweet, jam and dried fruit, caramel malt, cake, small hop bitterness.
2.8 From notes. Nose is treacley slight smoke, sweet malt. Taste is very sweet, treacle, acid, chewy toffee, smoke. Not keen.
4.0 Bottle. Another excellent beer of this style from the Netherlands. Brown with little or no head. Sweet malty flavour with no carbonation but still managing to be a lively beer.Reminded me of a typical German bock which is a great compliment. Sweet, warming and very nice.
4.5 Een lekkere Bock. Vol van smaak.
3.7 (cara, cassis, cerise, fraise, ronde, joli malt, joli fruité, end crémo-terreux, last perlé-dry, cannelle, simple & no défaut)
3.0 Sterk bokbier. Niet te zoet
3.0 Aroma is malt and brown sugar. Appearance is clear dark red brown with a beige head. Taste is sweet and malt with drying wood finish. Palate is high carbonation with fine bubbles. Overall a good enough bock. Sweet start, drying woody finish.
3.3 0.3l bottle. Clear dark ruby body with a nice beige head. The aroma doesn't show a lot. A bit of burnt sugar, raisins and some booze can be felt. Burnt sugar comes first in the sip too followed by a bit of orange zest, caramel, toast and some spicy hops. The alcohol is evident in the finish but not very disturbing. OK beer.
2.6 Auburn brown pour with nice head on it. Faint malty aroma. Creamy malty, syruppy, pears, medicinal bitterness. Syruppy stickiness remains, malty, cough medicine finish. Not horrible but definitely not the kind of dubbelbock Im into.
3.3 Van tap. Roast smaak, zoet, fris, "winterale-achtig", zoet overheerst. (10-2011). 3/5. Blik 50cl thuis. Rood fruit, licht stroperig, redelijk krachtig, licht droog. (1-11-2020).
3.3 Reddish brown and thick, creamy head. Taste is malt (lots of it) and a bit of caramel. Not bad for Heineken.
4.4 Embossed brown bottle, filtered, for around a £1 from BeerWulf - the best beer shop on the planet. This is so much my sort of beer. A malty delight. Rounded, smooth, and oh, so very, very tasty. The alcohol is felt pleasantly and soothingly. Ooh, this is so nice. I think I might just buy a case of this. Sod the craft beer hoppy stuff - give me malt. Slap it down by my side.
2.7 0,33 liter bottle. Hard too rate this one as it was served way too cold. Typical Brand flavour. Have to try it again.
3.4 Pours dark red-brown with beige head, which disappears quickly. Elegant malty aroma. Flavor is a reasonably complex blend of malty sweetness, a faint bitterness and some alcohol. The boozy palate is a bit of a downturn. After all, a good Bock.
3.3 Táp @ random Amsterdam pub. Hét molenpad. Melaszos, barna lé kis gyümölcsösséggel.
3.2 Ruby brown with a creamy head. Aroma is nutty, malty. Flavour the same. Not a great beer.
3.5 November 15, 2017 - on tap at Wildeman. Brown pour with nice amount of head that lasted a bit. Aroma and taste of malt, caramel, toffee and light hops/spice.
3.9 Bottle at home. A very nice and inviting brown/reddish colour with a medium sized yellowish head. It feels like the sweet and mildly bitter taste stays in the back of your throat and doesn't fully through. Very nice bock to lighten up a cloudy day.
3.3 Clear amber with a thin off white head. Aroma of roasted malts, caramel, bread, raisin, black licorice. Taste is medium sweet and mildly bitter. Medium body, medium carbo. Very nice bock, lovely for rainy days.
4.0 A: Clear mahogany with a very small off-white head.  N: Molasses, prunes, polished wood.  T: Nice bitter tongue grip. Chocolate. Red fruit.  P: Medium.  O: Absolutely delicious bock.
3.5 Bottle purchased @ New York Restaurant La Haye. Robe cuivrée. Notes de caramel.
3.1 Bottle in Amsterdam. Reddish brown with a medium head. Aroma of berry malt. Flavour is marzipan, mellow seeet malt, fruit chocolate finish.
3.7 Bottle at home. Very good brown/red color, beige head, disappears. For the 7,5% abv and the notice on the label that it is double matured, the taste is a bit disappointing. Yet a nice bock.
