Brand Pilsener

Brand Pilsener

Brand Premium Pilsener is brewed with more hops. That gives our Pilsner its unique, powerful taste. The completely full malted lager beer is characterized by the perfect balance between hop bitterness and hops aroma. This is because Brand adds hops to the beer twice in the brewing process.

Prima pils!
1.7 Pint on tap at 't Piepenhoes patio, Maastricht. It pours clear, pale golden with a thick, long-lasting white head. Aroma is rather low: just hints of lemon, bread and iron fillings. Taste is watery, fizzy, slightly metallic. Low-lingering finish with just a touch of bitterness.
3.1 On tap at Sous les Églises (Berg en Dal, NL). Limpid blond body with an average, lasting, white foamy head. Fresh malty/hoppy aroma with herbal and bready hints. Its decent malty/hoppy taste is very similar to the aroma. Ends with a good bittersweet finish.
Aroma: matig moutig, zoet. Licht tot medium body. Smaak: zoetje, moutig, lichtbitter. Correct commercieël pilsbier.
2.5 Draught at The Cafe de Grendelpoort, Valkenburg, Limburg, Netherlands. Pale gold with white head. This proved to be quite a thin, light, grainy beer, some sweetness, some boiled cereal. Pretty average.
3.3 Bright blond colored beer with a good white cup, carbo is fine. Taste is fruity and hoppy, one of the better Dutch pilsen.
2.2 I think it was this one, just labeled as "Brand" no style or abv mentioned. Golden beer, aroma slight floral, taste sweet. light body.
3.0 What can I say about this pilsner, its one of my favourite brands. Very drinkable and refreshing.
3.0 Sampled from a bottle. Golden Pilsner with a white head. A pleasant beer typical of the style. Good maltiness with floral and and grassy hops. Nothing special but not bad.
4.0 Fles 30cl thuis.
3.1 10 year old bottle of Royal Brand Beer which according to Wikipedia is the name of Brand Pils for export to the North American market. This particular bottle was still carved but had some floaters. It smelled rich and malty, like a Vienna and the malt forward caramel notes were a surprise so I guess the recipe changed at some point. Ok for such an old bottle.
2.8 33cl Bottle. Appearance: Clear yellow golden body, with a good white head, with a creamy texture and a ok retention.Aroma: light maltts, some hops, a bit more spicey herbal as most Dutch macro pilseners. Taste:light bitter, light sweets light malts and pretty spicey and herbal bitter finish for a pilsner. One of the better Dutch Pilseners.
2.3 Very nice bottle, drunk from the bottle, more hoppy than normal, good but not special, boring,
3.7 Lkkr pilsje
3.1 Refreshing lager beer that has a decent malty bite and almost what could be said is a certain degree of dryness. Came served in a gorgeous long glass, in a bar near Overblaak, Rotterdam.
2.7 On tap at Taste From the Lowlands. Pours a clear light straw yellow with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma combines grain and straw notes with a touch of sweetness underlying. Flavor has lots of straw with a touch of sweetness and some grains underlying.
2.7 Tap. Fluffy white heads, clear copper gold. Adjuncts and light mineral hop in both aroma and flavor, finishes with a little too ouch creamer corn sweetness for me. Lighter dead body.
2.2 Among the many Dutch PIlsener, that are ion fact much closer to a Lager than a German or Bohemian Pils, this one is one of the better. Easy to drink, goes well with a BBQ, but is nothing to get excited about. Taste is rather watery and slightly bitter.
Zacht, goed doordrinkbaar.
4.0 Lekker
2.7 On tap in Merken, holland. Golden color, clear, average white head, persistent. Pils malts, grains, grass, hay. Taste flattish, light bitter. Light body, slick texture, carbonated. Average pils, decent, fits the style.
3.1 Golden colour, slightly opaque, nice white head and beautiful bubbliness. Smell is lots of grain with subtle spiciness - mint, basil, hint of resin, quite dry. Taste is fresh and watery, with subtle bitterness. Crisp. Finish is watery and clean, with chlorine and mint. Slightly unpleasant malty sweetness.
3.6 Gewoon een lekker zacht kruidig Limburgs biertje. Een van de betere mainstream pilseners.
2.5 1/VIII/17 - 33cl bottle from some Dutch supermarket (Jumbo or AH) @ holidays - BB: XI/2017 (2017-1153) Clear blond to yellow beer, big solid creamy irregular white head, unstable, bit adhesive, leaving some lacing in the glass. Aroma: bit fruity, grains, malty, some caramel, cow fodder, very metallic. MF: soft carbon, medium body, pretty creamy texture. Taste: very malty, hay, some cow fodder, very metallic, pretty bitter. Aftertaste: very malty, grains, bit sweet, bit metallic.
Koud pilsje, altijd lekker natuurlijk, lekker bitterheid.
3.0 Drank from draft. Golden coloured lager with a small white head. Aroma: malty, sweet, and some grassy hop. Taste: malty, quite hoppy for a pilsener, some grass notes and some straw. Ends with some nice bitterness.
