BraufactuM The Brale

BraufactuM The Brale

Hopfen: Mosaic, East Kent Golding, Hallertauer Mittelfrüh, Magnum
Malz: Pale Ale, Karamellmalz

In 1900 Brown Ale was a popular Ale in British pubs. Our interpretation leads to a refreshing beer with a nut brown color, with intense hop aroma and strong malt notes - a "mosaic" of hops and malt.

2.6 On tap at Braufactum, pours a clear copper amber with a small beige head. Aroma is restrained, with toasted caramel and bready malt. Flavour is very feint, with bready malt and a hint of caramel. Not much character here. Very lame.
3.6 350ml bottle. Poured brown with a yellowish foam. The aroma of toasted malt, light caramel, notes of dark fruit. The body is quite light and medium carbonation. Taste malt notes, toast, caramel, some chocolate and nuts, moderate sweetness. Bitterness is not high, with citrus and grassy hues.
3.5 Many thanks for this beer to Koelschtrinker. Kompletnie inne niz tradycyjne brytyjskie Brown Ale.
3.8 Tap at braufactum berlin. Copper to brown color, light/medium haze, big five tan head. Aroma of roasted malts, caramel, bitter hops, burnt sugar, herbs. Malty and yeast smell. Medium body, sustained carbonation, bitter finish, dry, with a remainder of malt and grass.
3.3 Malátás jegyek visszafogott szereplése az ital fő jellemvonása, túlzott intenzitásra, kiugró elemek meghökkentő hatására hiába is számítanánk. Brit karakterisztikával felruházott, kissé száraz, üresen kesernyés, pirított magvas, kenyérhéjas hangulatok egysíkú játéka, amely az extrém sörélményektől igen távol áll, de ivósörként azért megállja a helyét.
3.1 Tap. Bronze color, yellowish foam. Aroma: sweet, lollipops, floral and spicy hops, fruity, caramel, malt. Taste: light and caramel malt, cookies, light fruitiness, citrus zest, slightly grassy bitterness.
3.5 Draught @ BraufactuM Dresden Aroma has caramel and hayish malt. Flavour has grapefruity hops, some caramel and some minerals. Also licorice. A decent hoppy brown.
3.8 Achetée en Allemagne. Bue avec Laura. Ambrée au nez frais et houblonné. Bouche ronde douce maltée. Vraiment sympa
3.6 Misty chestnut brown with a well-lacing ivory head. Nose: toast, cocoa, earth, hop. Light body. Taste: medium dry. Toast, caramel, citrus fruit, resin. Decent bitterness. Good ale.
3.6 Appearance: Dark brown, hazy. Some tan head. Aroma: Dark malt, roasted, some sweetness. Taste: Dark malt, lightly roasted, some caramel sweetness. Bought: Hotel restaurant (Stuttgart), 300 ml tap, €9.00 Info: 31/5-2019
3.3 Bottle picked up at Edeka, Stein Park Freising. Consumed at home Attenkirchen, Thursday 20th June 2019 listening to Aldous Harding - Designer , tonight we're having 2-3 different homemade curries. Pours hazy mid brown, good clarity, fruity, tangy, more citrussy with a little underbelly of caramel. Good but not really my favourite style unless it has raspberries steeped in it.

3.5 Copenhagen 18/5 2019. 33 cl bottle from Meny, Borups Allé, Frb. F. BraufactuM's usual design in burgundy and with what looks like Wallpaper in bad taste. Pours clear dark amber brown with a medium-sized off-white head. Settles as thin patchy layer of foam unable to cover the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing. Aroma is medium intense, sweet with citric sour notes. Caramel and toffee with light citric notes of citrus and lime. A little metallic. Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily texture. Flavor is medium sweet followed by a slightly stronger bitterness with citric undertones. Aftertaste is bitter with a light sweet undercurrent. Semi-dry finish. Lingers for a while. Solid Brown Ale with a prominent bitter edge.
3.2 Botella. Sweet dark malty and caramel bit nutty aroma. Good palate. Sweet flavour, well toasted malt and caramel with dark fruity notes.
3.3 0.33 l bottle from 'EDEKA Preller' (Breckerfeld), best before April 2020. Clear, deep reddish brown with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, off-white head. Sweetish, gently fruity-resiny and a bit malty aroma of caramel, pine and tropical fruits. Moderately sweet, slightly bitter, fruity-resiny and slightly malty taste of caramel, pine, tropical fruits, some nuts and a touch of chocolate, followed by a short, moderately bitter, gently resiny and a little grassy finish. Medium body, gently effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Nicely hopped Brown Ale. Not really my favourite style but well done!
3.7 Lecker, nussig-malziger Geschmack, bittere Karamellnote.
2.9 Ambar oscura, caoba, de espuma ocre. Aroma a caramelo y madera.
3.5 Brown color, big foam size. Citrus and caramel aroma. Taste is in IPA style. In general is something middle between brown and india pale ale, or hoppy brown ale.
3.4 33cl Bottle @ El Corte Ingles, Seville, Spain. Brown colour with a thin white head. Aroma is malt, caramel, hops, citrus. Taste follows the aroma. Medium body, average carbonation.
3.3 33cl bottle at home, bought at Slijterij Groningen, Vismarkt. Appearance: caramel brown with medium sized off-white head. Aroma: dark malts, brown sugar, metallic and a hint of banana. Taste: medium sweetness and bitterness. Notes of brown sugar, malty, some fruitiness and slightly metallic. Palate: medium bodied, watery texture and soft carbonation. Overall:
4.1 Crossing between an IPA and brown ale. Very present citrus aroma, then caramel and hoppy bitterness. Good balance between malt and hop notes.
3.6 Dark beer with beige foam. Bouquet of citrus, caramel, honey and floral scents. In the mouth it is bitter, then sweet. Toasted caramel. Excellent and long persistence Birra scura con schiuma beige. Profumo di agrumi, caramello, miele e sentori floreali. In bocca si presenta amara, poi dolce. Caramello tostato. Ottima e lunga persistenza
3.5 Highly hopped brown ale, but pleasantly hopped. Not overbitter, but very ipa-like still, masking the roast largely. D&S Dresden
2.4 I find this beer too bitter and just slightly too hoppy for a brown ale that cites the style's English tradition on its label... as if someone simply couldn't resist adding a (bog-standard) 'craft-beer smack' to the concept. If so, it would be a rather unimaginitive approach with an appropriate result (this kind of thing kills variety, rather than enhancing it). That said, the smell isn't as deviant as the taste - it's still sufficiently malty. But I see no reason to buy this one again.
3.5 Bottle. Color: Clear amber to copper, very light brown head. Aroma: Malt, caramel, hints of raisins and hop. Taste: Moderate sweet, moderate bitter and very lightly sour. Hoppy, citrus and grassy. Caramel. Hints of orange. Medium body, below average carbonation. Ok.
3.5 330ml bottle from Kaufland, drunk overlooking the Sea Garden in Burgas on a warm summer afternoon. Pours hazy with a thick, fast-settling foam-and-froth, beige head, medium lacing while the head lasted, brief rising carbonation. Mid brown in colour. On the nose, citrus, driven by orange and mandarin, caramel, honey and hints of floral perfume. In the mouth, mid carbonation, some bitterness from the first sip, sweetness that rises through the palate, flavours consistent with the aromas with an extra dose of slightly burnt caramel, medium texture, no alcohol presence with a long, mid-bitter finish. Overall, complex and refreshing, a great balance of hops and malts - reminiscent of an Imperial or Black IPA; 330ml was definitely not enough.
3.3 Bottle. Hazy, red-brown color with tan head. Aroma is fresh hops, hay and red fruit. Dry, with mild bitterness. Slightly oily body with prickly carbonation.
3.3 Hotel beer in Wandlitz. Clear amber brown color light tan head. Cocoa aroma. Taste is lightly sweet toasted chocolate. Not bad.
