Breckenridge Oatmeal Stout

Breckenridge Oatmeal Stout

Rich, round and roasted, our Oatmeal Stout is satisfaction in a glass. It's a bold, smooth-bodied concoction that oozes dark-roasted coffee aromas and flavors of espresso and semi-sweet chocolate. We round out these heady pleasures with a dose of flaked oatmeal for a creamy body and a semi-dry finish.

Unforgettable.

3.0 12 oz. bottle. Pours black with a foamy tan head. Aroma was roasted malt and coffee. Semi-sweet with a roasted coffee taste.
2.0 Smelled nice but very very bitter with lingering after taste I found to be very unpleasant.
3.2 Dark brown pour, no head. Roasty, smoky, meat aroma. Flavor of chocolate, vanilla, coffee. Slightly bitter, with a smack of ham to it...
3.3 Bottle from Gary’s--the only dark they had for a really cold night. It’s fine, just nothing much to it. Pretty smooth, some roast malt flavor. OK.
1.5 Nothing special and not worth buying. Bitter aftertaste and just not very good
2.8 This is a very, very bitter stout. They should have a bitter stout category since it appears so many oatmeal/imperials seem to taste that way. I wouldn’t go out of my way for this, needs way more malt/ABV.
3.3 Draft at Madrones in Frederick, MD served in a pint glass; opaque deep dark brown (black) color with thin tan head. Aroma notes of coffee, chocolate, roasted malt and some nuttiness. Taste adds more roast, dark chocolate and oatmeal. Medium body, low-moderate carbonation, creamy, dry with quick roast finish. Nice solid oatmeal stout.
3.2 12 oz. bottle, from the bottle. Thanks Steve! Big nose of roasted coffee, chalk, and bread. Sweet and overly roasty, with a harsh bitterness. Medium body, creamy, biting, and pleasantly aggressive. This is a mellow and reasonably tasty stout, but a little too roasted and bitter.
2.8 Bottle pour. Dark brown with a tan head. Aroma is coffee, sweet caramel, and chocolate. Medium body. Sweet with a little salty finish.
3.9 Robe brune avec une fine mousse beige. Notes fumées, chocolat, café. Arômes de café et chocolat prononcés. Final fumé et sec. Texture plutôt onctueuse. Longue en bouche. Une bonne Stout.
3.1 Pours clear dark brown with a semi dense beige head. Nose: slight roasty malt, nutty, some chocolate and cold coffee. Taste: very light flavours with light chocolate, light nutty, coffee flavours. Drying aftertaste and a light creamy body. Very light all around.. Very light.
3.2 Bottled, poured into glass. Very bold. Intense coffee flavors. Very "roasty" with subtle bitter chocolate. I love this style of beer but honestly, I found this one a bit on the harsh side. It's intense.
3.2 Bottle 35,5cl / Botella 35,5cl. @ R & J Liquors, Granby, CO, USA A: Dark brown / Marron oscuro. T/S: Roasted malt, chocolate, coffee / Malta tostada, chocolate, cafe.
3.1 Dark copper, lasting tan head, attractive bottle label. Medium body, well flavored, lean texture despite oats, low heat, moderate carbonation, avg length, lightly flavored finish. Dry, medium bitterness, crisp acidity. Assertive but not aggressive roast flavors, Ok.
3.4 オートミールスタウト 苦味はつよめ、しっかり濃い
4.0 From a 12oz bottle into a Deschutes stem glass. Pours near black with moderate head and lace. Aroma of dark roasted malts, slight oatmeal. Medium carbonation and mouthfeel. Flavors of dark roasted malts, bitter chocolate, minerals, slight oats, grains, straw hops. Overall flavorful, tasty for the style.
3.7 bottle. Pours black with a small creamy brown head. Aroma is roasted chocolate malt. Sweet flavor of roasted coffee and chocolate. Full bodied. Pretty standard, but good.
3.3 From a bottle. Pours a dark, only brown and makes a medium tan head. Aroma is of dark cocoa and coffee beans. Tastes of roasted barley, cocoa, and espresso. It has a dry finish. A good but not great stout. A bit low in abv to give it better stature.
3.1 Tap. Clear dark reddish brown with a small biege head. Aromas of roasted malt, caramel, and light dark fruit. Flavor is the same with a more pronounced dark fruit. Medium, smooth and dry on the end.
3.3 A good beer and standard go to style. Nothing sticks out about it, but I would pick something else better if optional. Tap and bottle.
3.9 Good stout with coffee aromas. Some lum character in dark roast flavor. Pour black with half inch dark brown head.
3.4 Pours a jet black with a foamy, quickly dissipating, tan head. Aroma is coffee, chocolate, and roast. Flavor is bitter roasted malts with a dry finish. Has a light body. A decent session stout.
3.4 Dark brown pour. Nice light stout. Coffee, bread, oatmeal, light chocolate flavor. Great creamy mouth full. Not heavy at all.
3.8 Surprisingly good. Great dark soft color with a nice head and a full creamy palate. Light malt aroma with roasted malt flavor and slight bitter finish with a hint of bread.
4.2 Incredibly, incredibly nice for the ABV. Really. Good stout backbone, and amazingly syrupy for the low ABV. A session stout?
3.2 Draught. This is a fairly decent little stout with lots of body and solid malt roasting.
3.5 12oz bottle. Smokey chocolate aroma. Dark black color with minimal white head. Slight bitter chocolate flavor. Smooth.
