3.6 Lätt, mjuk men tydlig syra, komplex och funkig. Vinös med en lätt sötma från faten lyfter smakerna. Jag tänker Girardin med sin komplex funkiga karaktär och perfekt avvägd syra.
4.1 Bottle from Hoppiness Koper. Light straw yellow with an immense white head. Peppery, green apples with light funk, hay, soapy, allspice. Faint sweetness, light acidic sourness, pleasantly tart. Light body with pearly carbonation. Very refreshing and nice. Great balance.
3.7 Very heady, spicy, on the funkier end of the saison spectrum, nice brett soap without totally dominating the flavor, a lot of hay
3.2 70% head on initial pour. Very light overall. Funky aroma, but only a mild funk to the taste. Otherwise taste of yeast with light bitterness. A beginner’s saison.
3.9 Złote i idealnie klarowne piwo nalewa się z intensywną białą pianą. Aromatumiarkowanie intensywny, kwaśne mirabelki, niedojrzałe winogrona, lekka nuta pieprzowa, a w tle subtelna nuta dzika w postaci nut mlecznych, słodkiego serka homogenizowanego. W smaku piwo jest wytrawne i mocno wysycone. Dominują cierpkie, niedojrzałe, żółte owoce, w tle pojawiają się subtelne nuty rustykalne: skóra, siano. Finisz to niska ziołowa goryczka i wysoka cierpkość.
3.5 Bottle from Beergium. Hazy yellow color, white head. Bitter taste with citrus, brett, ripe fruits, grass, spices and a bit of hops. Bitter finish with citrus, ripe fruits, brett, spices, toast and grass. Very nice saison.
3.5 3 finger, slightly off-white head. Hazy, deep orange coloured beer. Aroma is barnyard, green apples and a hint of lemon, along with a small earthy spiceyness. A bit weak but good! Taste is leather, wheat, parfume, green apple and a fruity almost-mango like note that shows up more the warmer the beer gets. Light but still a pretty big beer. Oily on the palate but still easily drinkable. Subtle tartness. Low carbonation. Medium bitterness. Semi-dry and juicy at the same time. Overall: I’m not that familiar with saisons but compared to the ones I’ve tried, this was, taste wise, quite different. The dark, heavy notes surprised me and hardly resembled the aroma at all but it works! Enjoyed this.
3.2 Bottle sample at a tasting at troubles’ place. Thanks Max & Stas. Cloudy shiny yellow with a white head. Nice funky aroma, fruity, citric, light smoky note, a bit of earth, a bit spicy. Dry flavor, fruity, spicy, herbal, smoky, a bit peaty, yeast, floral.
3.4 At Dror’s place, pours yellow with a small head, aroma of lemon, brett, iodine, flavor is slightly sour with iodine, smoke, medium bodied
3.2 The pour is hazy, yellow with heavy head. The aroma is citrus and earthy. Overall, bitter, but with floral and citrus notes throughout. Tastes dry, but carbonated with a sort of accentuated yeasty texture. Slight notes of vinegar-pungent, but with an overall well developed finish and aftertaste. I quite enjoyed this beer.
3.4 33cl Bottle @ LaBIRRAtorium, Madrid, Spain. Hazy golden colour with a frothy white head. Aroma is yeast, citrus, spices, bread. Taste is yeast, citrus, fruits, tart, bitter. Medium body, average carbonation.
3.4 On tap at Vrteška. Misty golden body with a big white head. Light peachy aroma, creamy, with some phenolic touches. Creamy peachy taste, slightly bitterish, actually would make for a fine beer if not for phenolic touches that are chlorophenols or eerils reminiscent of them in the background. Oh well, will rerate at some point.
3.9 Bottle 0.33l at Majstor za Pivo Belgrade, Serbia. 12.04.2017. Taste with Ogi and Vlada. Pour it hazy yellow color with no head. Aroma grassy and yeasty. Taste sweet, spice, smooth Belgian yeast, fruity and pinch of tart feel, light sweetness, lightly sour, medium body, slick feel, lively, long finish. Nice!
4.0 Bottle from Whole Foods. Pours turbid golden with splotchy white head. Nose is yeasty funk, hops, citrus, florals. Tastes dry, floral, yeasty, with hopcitrus, florals, white pepper flavors. Complex finish.
3.4 Zapach stajni, kiszonki. W smaku orzeźwiające, lekko kwaskowe, drożdżowe, mocno wysycone.
3.8 Lemony, grass, sour, spices, golden with a white head, quite fizzy, light/medium body, again lemony notes, very fresh and easy to drink....i really appreciate.
4.2 There’s nothing bad to say about this Effervescent, light, fruity yeasty lovely yellow pour with that added cloudiness that I prefer (you might not) and a head of depth and substance. Lovely bitter cider like taste that I really like. You might guess I’m a fan of the style.
3.6 Bottle 0,33L. Slightly hazy, pale golden color with huge, frothy, white head. Aroma is very funky, some leather, vinegar, apple, white wine and of course brettanomyces yeasts. Taste starts acidic and bitter at the same time with a lot of carbonation in mouth. Reminds me of champagne a lot. Finish is light bitter with yeasty notes. Light body and lively carbonation makes it very drinkable.
3.8 Pour is a hazy bright yellow with a huge white head. Aroma is brett funk right off the bat. After that I get some banana and clove esters just like a German hefe. Flavor is tart green apple with some funk from the yeast and a white grape. This is super hella carbonated giving you little funk burbs long after the beer is gone. A well done and flavorful low alcohol brett saison.
4.0 Bottle, 0.33l. Cloudy straw color with large frothy white head and sparkling appearance. Aroma of yeast, brett, sweat, wheat and grape skins. Taste starts light sweet and sour, follows yeasty, funky and woody with toasted malt note, mouthfeel is crisp, dry and spicy, while finish is medium bitter. Light to medium body, thin texture and fizzy carbonation in palate. Almost brilliant...
3.4 Bottle from Bierkoning, Amsterdam. Aroma is wheaty with slightly tart citrus, lemon, spicy peppery yeast, and subtle barnyard funk. Flavour is light sweet and a bit tart with some mild bitterness in the dry finish. Body is medium. Seemed a bit too modest at first, but this Saison gradually yielded its subtle qualities.
3.5 Bardzo świeży, orzeźwiający. W zapachu czuć bretty ale delikatnie przeszkadza mi nuta zielonego ogórka.W smaku też ogórek wychodzi. Ogólnie spoko za tą cenę można wypić. Wysycenie jeszcze przeszkadza ale wystarczy nalać mniej "ostrożnie" :D
3.8 Draught at Akkurat, 11/28/16. Very slight haze to this pale, golden beer. Well-carbonated with a moderate amount of white head atop. Very strong Sacch yeast esters in the nose actually outdo the Brett influences here, which is always a welcome change of pace. Light honey, bread crust, lemons, apples and papayas end with some slightly more dry pepper and light lime-like Brett. But there’s very little to dislike here, perhaps a slight overabundance of yeast character, in general and maybe a touch of clove, but it’s clean and has a proper texture, good attenuation and a manageable hop profile. Lots of phenolic character on the end; again a good balance of Brett and Sacch.
3.3 Bottle. Beer District, Buxton. Pale gold. Lightly hazy. Film of white head. Nose has all of the funky yeast. Dirty and earthy, with on the turn citrus fruit. Taste is dry, with some fusty lemon tang. Foamy mouthfeel. A little soapy and watery. Short, dry finish. Smells very decent, but tails off thereafter.
3.6 Look: hazy yellow, strong white head. Aroma: bread and bready, wet hay, ripe apricots, zest. Taste: light sweetness balanced with light tartness. Flavour: bananas, some fresh lemon, pale malt. Finish: sloghtly tart with bitter almond. Good.
3.6 Bottle at home (Jan. 2016, bb 2021-01-19). Pours a hazy golden with a fizzy white head. Lots of carbonation. Tart aroma of yeast, lemon, light barnyard funk, malts. Taste is moderate bitter, light sour, dry finish, light bitter aftertaste. Not bad, not too special.
3.7 330ml bottle. Semi-clear yellow with one and a half finger fluffy white head. Tart and fruity aroma with citrus, yeast, orange, honey and light hay. Taste is similarly tart with a nice balance between sweet fruitiness and honey, citrus and yeast. Medium mouthfeel, light to medium carbonation and tart dry aftertaste with a touch of honey sweetness and clear yeastiness.
3.5 Murky golden colour with a huge puffy head that evaporates relatively swiftly. Aroma is lemon with some underlying spice. Sharp and spicy mouthfeel with a hint of buttermilk.
3.2 Draught at Akkurat. Hazy orange coloured body. White layer on the to, dotted spots on the glass.Spiced fruity aroma, hints of lemon. Slightly tart fruity taste of mango, peaches and lemon, grainy malts beneath. Drying, mid-tart, fruity finish. Pretty nice (Stockholm 27.11.2016).
4.0 Poured from 11.2oz bottle into tulip glass A 2" sudsy white head falls quickly with mild lacing. Color is very cloudy yellow-orange with tons of sediment in suspension. Plenty of streaming carbonation. Aroma of floral, tart lemon, barnyard, bread dough. Light and frothy mouthfeel with a champagne like dry finish. Flavors of tart lemon, cranberry, yeasty rolls, with some hop bitterness lingering in the finish. Overall: very good.
