3.5Bottle sample at a tasting at Alexey & Raphaela’s place. Thanks Max & Stas. Clear golden with a big white head. Aroma of funky brett, flowers, earth, citrus. Dry flavor, funky, fruity, floral, with a tart note. Medium-bodied. Good.
3.0Bottle from Bottle Shop, Bjerringbro. Pours hazy golden with a white head. Aroma and taste is malt, fruits, berries, yeast hops. Medium body. Soft carbonation. A bit sour. Dry bittersweet finish.
3.8Look: Pale brown amber.
Head: Big fluffy head.
Aroma: The smell is intense and mainly consist of pineapple, green apple and fresh hay.
Taste is incredibly dry, ciderish, sour with notes of fructose. Ends with yeast and a a prominent but elegant malt with a metalic touch. Its refreshing and i like the fruity qualities, certainly rustic as promised. I tried two of these; the first one had an aftertaste which unfortunately was dominated by yeast and in other aspects i think it was not that good, the second one was much better.
2.9Golden colour hazy, white thick foam. Funky smell, muddy earth, spices. Taste is quite sweet and not as dry as I would expected for a saison. Even some sugar can be felt. In the end those tones of white pepper appears.
3.4Hazy golden towards orange, foamy. Earth and funky tones in the aroma, also some pepper and apple. Slightly sour taste, blends with earth and weak fruit tones.
3.5Bottle 33cl. poured into a lager glass. Sour brett nose; hazy pale amber, tall fizzy and frothy white head, good retention and lacing; aroma sourish, brett, lemon, bit of wood, farmyard; taste medium sweet and light sour, also light bitter notes, light orange, bit woody; sweet and sour aftertaste, fruity, light bitter finish, woody, herbal notes; medium body, watery texture, fizzy carbonation; solid and fresh saison, easy to drink.
5.0An amazing taste, an amazing smell. Flavour it is beautiful. I just loved it. My Highly recommendations.
3.5Kryddig, en del jäst, lite jordig, blommor och vete. Lite sur. Helt ok men ingen favorit för min del.
3.6Bottle from Beers’ n’more. Pours yellowish orange. Aroma is a nice yeast, some funk and styles. Medium but intense and sweet body. Lively carbonation, refreshing. Short finish. Tasty, yet not super interesting.
3.2Aroma is rustic saison notes with citrus and light pepper. Taste is quite on the down low for my taste, with earthy, light spicey tones and mellow malts. Needs something to carry it upwards.
3.8Bottle
Aroma-berries, grapefruit, spices
Appearance-orange, hazy, small white foam
Taste-medium bitterness, medium sourness, medium sweetness,
Palate-medium body, sticky, average carbonation, long finish,
Overall-very good
3.9Flaska beställd från SB. Orangefärgad med fluffigt smutsvitt skum. Kryddig och jästig doft med citrus. Jordig, syrlig bra balanserad smak.
3.5Bottle. Sensoric. Golden, medium hazy with medium, semi-densed head. Poor head retention and lacing. Aroma is funky, fruity (pears, oranges), spicy (pepper), lightly floral and honey notes. In nose pretty strong lactic acid profile (thanks to Brett influence). Moderately malty - light caramel and wheat notes. Taste is lightly bitter, mild, some bitterness in the end (grapefruit-like). Medium body, creamy, watery texture, lively carbonation, finish is mild, bitter and Brett. In general Brekeriet is still experimenting with saison style with different fermentation with Brett strains. This one is definitely dominated by Bretty notes with strong lactic acid, but in the beginning you can fell some floral and fruity notes, which makes it not so boring.
3.5330ml bottle. Pale yellow colour. Moderate, white head. Acidity, notes of rye, barnyard, hints of citrusses in the aroma. Slightly sour, bit bready beginning. Acidity, citrusses in the middle. Slight bitterness, hay, sourness, citrusses in the end. Slightly crisp texture. Rather dry palate.
3.6Flaska från SB. Guldfärgad, något disig med högt vitt skum. Typisk saison-doft med kryddig citrus och snälla banantoner. Pigg kropp. Ganska tydlig beska och kryddiga o peppriga toner direkt i smaken. Potent saison. Gillar fortfarande Brekeriets Brillant bättre.
3.5330ml bottle. Hazy bright amber body with a low white head. Sweet fruits and stable-ish at first, but more dry and ripe fruity towards finish. Lacks those typical peppery notes expected from a Saison, which is not surprising though.
3.6330ml bottle from Systembolaget. Hazy golden, mid-size, lasting white head, good lacing. Mild funky nose, hay, barnyard, grassy hops, red berries and citrus zest. Smooth mouthfeel, medium carbonated. Smooth wheat taste, hay, mild funk, slightly tart, the yeasty barnyard notes lingers along with a pleasant tartness. Very balanced, not too wild...
3.1Hazy gold colour, with rapidly fading head. Well carbonated - more fizzy than frothy. Tarty brett on the nose, then orange with a hint of pepper. Flavour is a bit stuck between being a snappy saison and a sour ale and so fails to be either. OK though.
3.8Fruktig funkig doft, blomfruktig smak, typiskt saisonsmaker. Rätt tjock munkänsla, hänger fint i munnen.
3.2Orange color. Medium carbonation. Aromas of barn, grapefruit, green peppers, and roast chicken (yeah, that is odd). Medium body. Bit sweet in the start, a touch of acidity, spicy pepper flavors. Finishes dry and hoppy with some orange notes. Not bad, but not great.
3.2Shared bottle at Cardinal, Stavanger. Pours hazy amber with little off-white head. Aroma of fruits, horse stable, some caramel, bread. Tastes sweet with some bitterness.
3.2330 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 6.5%. Slightly hazy deep golden colour, moderate white head. Distinctly spicy aroma with notes of saison yeast, also "farmhouse" notes of brettanomyces and woodwork. Medium dry and distinctly spicy flavour, with a rather blunt bitterness. Not very refined in its character, but not a bad beer.
3.1Uklar, gyllenbrun med lavt skum. Fersken, honning, krydder og vått høy i duften. Fruktig, syrlig og besk i smaken.
3.9Bottle @vjohans
Quite clear, Amber light white head
Aroma of brown sugar, orange, caramel
Taste sour, syrup taste, tart.
A bit unique.
Dark feel at same time fresh and sour.
3.3Bottle, 1 month past BBD. Hazy amber, offwhite head. Fruity and funky aroma. Sour berries. Flavour is sour, slightly bretty. Not as fruity as the aroma, more malty. Finish gets a little rough, a little metallic and almost alcoholic.
3.6Big white head. Cloudy orange color. Well balanced aroma of fruit, brettnomyces and stable.
Dry woody taste with some brett taste but only tiny acidity.
Well fermented and a fine slim body.
3.3Deep hazy orange with white head. Funk, citrus, brett and lovehearts. Sweet, fruity, dry and crisp finish. Overall: Enjoyable, but nothing special,
3.1Bottle @ home. Hazy amber color with a medium white head. Somewhat malt-sweet and mostly grainy aroma, with red berries, grass and some Not what i had expected from a brettanomyces Saison, there are hints of brett and lemon in the background as it gets warmer. Flavor however, is moderate tart and lemon acidic, and also has the same characteristic grainy note as in the aroma but balanced and nicely embedded. Also notes of oak, leather, lacto. Lingering lemon and fruity strawberries.
