Brew By Numbers 01/01 Saison - Citra

Brew By Numbers 01/01 Saison - Citra

Style: Saison

Recipe: Citra

ABV: 5.4%

The Citra Saison is BBNo.’s modern interpretation of a Belgian farmhouse-style classic. A light, crisp body, fresh fruit/spice flavour
and a mild bitterness make this a very refreshing, drinkable beer. [ The first batch of this beer was NOT brewed at Kernel. The first BATCHES (plural) were brewed at BBNo, as are all batches as of December 2013. BBNo made one batch at The Kernel while they were having issues with their own kit; the bottles from this batch are clearly labeled as brewed at The Kernel. - Leighton ]

3.3 Hazy, pale, yellow, thick white head. Grassy, citrusy smell. Flavour is classic Citra - dry, bitter grapefruit, just a hint of sweetness- with the spicy, floral qualities of a saison. A nice balance. Crisp, but it could go one of the flavours being a bit more dominant.
