4.0Bottle from the hallowed Garvie cellars. Pours dark brown with a little head. Aromas of strawberries, raspberries, whisky. Taste is light sour, boozy, rich. Long finish. A real treat.
3.9Bottles at home. Pours copper, still very tart and fruity even after several years, sour.
4.1Assaggio da bottiglia @ cantinetta.
Color miele senza schiuma.
Liscia con corpo abbastanza leggero considerato il grado alcolico.
Ricorda molto un passito, escono fuori molte fragole ed un po' di mirtilli.
Buona!!!

4.0Clear dark red liquid, head disappears quickly. Aroma: spreads in the room as soon as I open the bottle. A lot of raspberries and strawberries in the aroma, in the back I get some whiskey notes but the berries are really prominent in this aroma. Taste: a slight tart raspberry and strawberry flavor spreads in the mouth and mixes in with a slight bitterness. There is also some whiskey alcohol in there. Pretty sweet with low level of carbonation. Bottle 647. Enjoy it! Cheers!
4.0Backlog. Tasted at a vertical tasting of the first six abstracts released. Bottles from Systembolaget. One of the better in the series.
4.1Tasted after 3.5 years. It was like a fountain of taste. Raspberry and whiskey nose. Taste: wild pears with grapefruit palate. A little bit malty.
4.2Taster from bottle at La Cantinetta, Rimini. It pours a whisky-like intense caramel body with the tiniest tan head. Aroma is intensely fruity with raspberries upfront, then leather and vanilla come through. Taste is on the sweet side with more caramel, leather, vanilla and loads of raspberries and strawberries. Light must in the finish. Medium to thin body with soft carbonation. Overall, fantastic complexity.
3.2Corked 37.5 cl bottle @ home (bottle #2712). Pours murky reddish amber with a lot of sediment and a tiny white head that leaves no lacing. Aroma and flavour is strawberry, raspberry, alcohol, vanilla, and caramel – with a tart and alcoholic finish.
4.1Bottle from September 8th 2010. Opened in October 2013 with deanso. 3 years old. Hazy brown with a thin, disappearing, white, non lacy, disappearing head. Smells of citrus fruit, raspberries, and generally berries right away. Malt, aged malt smell (heavy), light acidic tones, raisins and walnut. Some sourness as well. Deep and very complex. Full oily creamy body with soft carbonation.Intense fruity taste of berry mix but mostly raspberries with some woody undertones but you can still taste the alcohol. Vanilla. Strawberries too. Finishes with a taste of raspberry juice with some sourness. Leaves the muon dry and saturated with berry sourness and some lingering malts.
3.7bottle courtesy of and shared with Worldbeertaste, big thanks.
Very thin off white head. Raspberry aroma. Hazy red pour. Fruity alcohol taste. Nice and smooth. It has aged well. Nice brew!
3.9Bottle from Mane Liquor. Pours amber with a small white head. Nose shows heavy stone fruit and sweet citric fruits with light acidic tones and very heavy and sticky caramel. Taste is pretty much spot on that with some added oak undertones and velvet vanilla. Works very well and the age has probably mellowed out the fruit because I don’t get a heap of berry driven tones like I was expecting, more barnyard/funk. Exactly 3 years old today and leaves a good impression. Nice stuff
4.2Fook meh this has held up. Tawny brown with sliver sand head. Pulped, instant freezed raspberries and sly malt pole. Strong dessert sweetness, big billing of crisp greatness. Silky finish of caressing sour, borrowed Yoda whispering hops, ploughed back over the sweet finish. Dreaming of how this stands on the 10th anniversary.Big rusty amber body with boozy listless head. Coppery nose, firey. Dense oily, oxidsed boozeage slips away to floral rustiness. Crystalled throughout, keeping it steely and narrow. Terse finish, mapely

3.6Thick muted lingering raspberry. Soothing light sweetness. Balding ring of off white head.
3.4Bottle. Ok, this one was different. Berries, herbal, caramel, and some earthiness. I just kept thinking and noting that this one was ’interesting’.
3.8Clear but dark deep red color. Little carbonation and head.
Big nose of raspberries, vanilla and strawberries. Really surprised how the fruit had held up in this in the nose and the taste.
Well balanced between sweet and tart with enough notes of the barrel/ cask mixed in. Just slight wood character .
Waves of booze in the mouth here and there but a good mix and well balanced.
3.9Bottle at sampling session. From notes (Oct. 8, 2011). Strawberries and raspberries in the nose. Light reddish color. Strong berry flavors. Very dry and with an alc. kick. Bitterness near and in finish. Fumes hit in the final.
3.6Bottle, amber color. The nose ripe fruit, strawberries and malt. Mouthfeel is medium body, caramel, vanilla, strawberry, fruity, whiskey and wood, light citrus and sugar syrup. Low carbonation, slight hint of medicine.
3.3Bottle. Amber color. Remeins of red fruit in the aroma. Malty sweet flavor with raspberries and vinous notes. Tart with a hint of licorice. Citrus. Alcoholic. The fruit had faded. This beer doesn’t age really well.
4.6Tasted from the bottle @home on 17/10/2012.
Pours of lovely dark copper, crystal-clear color. Head is small off-white and quickly dissapears.
Aroma is full of berries upfront, definitely packs of raspberries, strawberries are somewhere behind. After several sniffs a very nice, elegant sourness appears. Very complex and intensive aroma!
Taste follows that pattern - astonishing mix of raspberrries upfront, tasty malt sweetness, wonderful bitterness lingering the back of the tongue - all covered with that lovely sour taste of fresh raspberries.
After few sips also could feel faint strawberry notes.
Having so much berries it, this beer is still has a "beer taste", pretty much drinkable and enjoyable.
Well done, Brewdog!
3.8Bottle 3045 of 3200 at home.
Strawberry and raspberry nose. Tart light red-brown, sweet, fruity, sucrose, artificial sweetner, slight medicinal note.
3.7Bottle at a recent bottle share... Poured a cloudy reddish/ruby with a thin head. Some booze and oak with raspberry and strawberry tones. Lots of fruit and candied sweetness. Easy drinking with a thick body.
3.40.375 L, corked and wired bottle, brought home from Utobeer, London and cellared for 14 months. A medium tall, mostely diminishing off-white head, upon a orangey-golden body with lots of micro-floaters. Smells really nice. Subtle whisky, or maybe whisky liqueur, mixed with a fresh and delicate aroma from the berries added. Also faint caramel malts, wood and vanilla. Taste is vinous with a light astrigent berry flavor. Some sourness, faint caramel and tannins. Medium full, juicy texture. Sourish, astingent fruity endnotes.
3.4Bottle shared with (and great courtasy of) the fantastic Bergen tasting crew with such stars as ClubGonzo, Inbreak and Palme, and the mighty StoreMy. Has an amber colour and is slightly cloudy with a relatively small bubbly off-white head. The aroma has a distinct character of Belgian yeast and is sweet. Reminds me really much of sweet wine gums with strawberries. Towards the end feels wood, oak, and is slightly perfumy. In the flavour I find both sweet and sour berries, strawberry candy, crowberries, and a somewhat berry bitterness be the end. Light to medium bitterness with a smooth and soft mouth feel. A very distinctive and special beer with a wonderful aroma, but is ok on taste.
3.6375 ml bottle. Bottled on 08.09.2010. Bottle no. 2523/3200.
Pours hazy amber color with small head. Aroma has a humongous amount of berries, raspberry, bilberries, strawberries, mild hose hip and some fruity notes. Flavor of fruits, raspberries, bilberries, strawberries, some cherries, yeast and some grass. Quite fruity to say the least, bitter and somewhat sour palate.

3.537,5 cl bottle @ lusikka. Bottle #2523, bottled on 08.09.2010.
Aroma has strawberries and some raspberries – how surprising. Flavour is rather fruity and strong on strawberries, some raspberries and hops. Tart finish. Unlike 01 or 02, this has some CO2 on palate. Really weird and fruity stuff.
3.5375 ml bottle. Bottled on 08.09.2010. Bottle #2523 of 3200.
Pours a dark amber colour without a head. Aroma of strong strawberries, raspberries and some wood. Flavour of sweetish malts, strong and sweet strawberries, sour raspberries, some vanilla nad oak. Surprisingly bitter hops as well. Sweet berry juice.
3.6375ml bottle
Bottled on 08.09.10 - Bottle #2523/3200 - Pours dark orange with a small white head. Aroma of fruits, caramel malts and a lot of berries. Taste is malty with hints of vanilla, oak, tart berries, raspberry and caramel. Finish is bitter and fruity with some malts and tart raspberries. Alcohol is well hidden. A bit unbalanced, though
3.9Bottle. Pale amber colour with a beige head. Aroma is caramel, alcohol, berries. Flavour is caramel, fruit, alcohol, licorice, berries, raspberry. Nice beer.
3.5Bottle, shared with Bergen Beer Geek Tasting Crew’s Epic Abstrakt/Blåbær tasting, feat. special guests Foffern and StoreMy. :-) Deep orange hazy body, small white head. Nose is stunning: whiskey-soaked sorbet with tart raspberries, blackberries and hints of overripe strawberries. Hints of oak and vanilla. Amazing. Taste is a bit of a letdown: astringent, herbal bitter tones, parching dry tones of red berries and hints of whiskey and wood. Doesn’t really work, at least not compared to the wonderful aroma. Medium mouthfeel, mild carbonation. Truly original, bordering on "weird". Pretty nice, but no winner.
3.6Bottle at Bens. Reddy brown with a rapidly disappearing white head. Funky nose. Raspberry and malt. Lots of sour fruit on the flavour. The whisky is there but surprisingly, doesn’t dominate. It’s fairly well balanced. It’s interesting. I’m guessing they won’t break their promise and brew this one a second time like they did with the AB:04.
