This one-off brew showcases the flavours of a Mexican spiced hot chocolate, infused in an imperial stout. In other words, the perfect beer to have as a winter warmer!
Expect a wallop of milk chocolate, vanilla, fruity coffee, and cinnamon, with an undercurrent of dark malt roastiness. This beer is rich and full-bodied, with a warmth of chilies.
Sombrero sold seperately.

3.5Nitro draft at Misconduct. Opaque dark brown/black pour with a thin layer of soft brown foam. Black molasses. Burnt pecans. Campfire marshmallows. The expected dark chocolate flavor is surprisingly restrained. Modest hot peppery bite in the finish. Feels watery but that likely speaks more to the quality of the Nitro pours at this place.
4.3Black with creamy white head. Smells slightly sweet and kinda hot chocolate like. Taste is vanilla, spice (but not over the top), slight vanilla, milk chocolate and coffee. It's also slightly creamy. Nice interesting beer :)
3.8Nitro can. Pours black with a soft beige head. Aroma is milk chocolate, cocoa, coffee. Flavor is chocolate, vanilla, cocoa. Light spice, not a ton of heat but a good amount. Creamy!
4.0Nitro can from Morrisons - Jet black body with a thick tan foam. Nose is a creamy chocolate with a hint of chilli. Typical creamy nitro mouthfeel, slightly dry, warm hit at the end through the chilli. Very nice indeed.
3.613.6 ounce can. Nitro version. Opaque black, brown pour. Small creamy tan head. Subtle roasted malt aroma hints at cinnamon and vanilla. Creamy mouthfeel. Roasted malt flavor upfront. Notes of cinnamon and spicy chiles. Tasty.
4.1Black with a creamy tan head, chocolate, cinnamon, hint of vanilla aroma, full bodied, smooth and creamy. Chocolate, cinnamon, vanilla flavours with a nice chilli kick. Nice winter warmer
4.0420ml can from Morrisons Colindale for £3.00. Dated as best before 21/08/2021. Served into a Spiegelau stout glass having been out of refrigeration for about an hour.
The beer pours a dark liquid milk chocolate colour with a one finger head that is akin to the crema that forms on top of freshly brewed coffee in both colour and density. Some very tiny bubbles cling to the inside of the glass.
The first hit of aroma is heavy alcohol, like opening a bottle of spirit. This subsided to light chocolate and heavy spice. Cinnamon, cayenne and ground ginger.
In the mouth the taste is driven by the spice. Here the cayenne dominates with milder notes from the cinnamon and ground ginger. A lovely subtle dark chocolate bitterness grows as the beer sits. Some red berry flavours form a background note.
The beer coats the inside of the mouth lightly and the feel has legs that last. As do the spice notes. The lips tingle from the heat of the chilli we’ll after the drink is finished.
Overall, a beer I found very enjoyable. Different to the usual ‘winter warmer’ style but definitely in the very good range.
4.016oz can from the source in Cincinnati, shared with bananabi11. Nitro pour. Slight head. Choco-caramel nose, with some chiles. Taste is super smooth chocolate, sweet caramelly malt, and chiles. Smooth and fairly rich. Medium bodied. Finishes sweet and tangy. Enjoyable! 14.8
3.4Bottle at home. As Get out Claus. One year old. Has a deep brown to black colour. Aroma of chocolate truffles, nougat, rubber, tobacco and jalapenos. Flavour of ash, dark chocolate, roasted malt and a chili burn in the end. Has a slick and slightly silky mouth feel, medium to full body, and a light bitterness. An interesting ale but I feel the chili is too dominant.
3.816oz can delivered as "turn down" on first night's check-in at Doghouse. Roasty malt aroma with a hint of cinnamon. Taste starts sweet, chocolate, cinnamon. Light milky notes.
3.5Can from Morrisons Supermarket, Blackburn. Black with an off-white creamy head. Might prefer the non-nitro version of this one, texture is too close to the canned bitters experienced too often in the late 1990's for comfort. The spice is nice enough in a dense but not too strength affected taste, although it's clear there's plenty of alcohol in this brew.
2.7Not sure about this. Has a weird back of the throat kick that I'm not fond of
3.5Nitro can from Morrisons, pours nitro-brown settling fast to jet black with a thick and tight tan foam. Aromas of creamy cocoa plus hints of chili and toasted brown sugar. Super-smooth and creamy, then burnt-bitter treacle toffee and a spicy warmth. No great depth, and a little sticky on the finish, but still pleasing.
4.0Puszka. Nitro. Piękny czarny kolor z cudowną, kremową piana o beżowym kolorze. Estetycznie wymiata. W zapachu i smaku subtelna aczkolwiek dość mocno palona kawa, czekolada, ciemna i gorzka, słodkie nuty wanilii, melasa, tytoń, wszystko zaakcentowane dawką papryki chilli, która świetnie rozgrzewa, alkohol fajnie ukryty. Tekstura jest fenomenalnie gładka, kremowa, gęsta, wręcz treściwa. Jak dla mnie Nitro w tym wydaniu to bomba
3.6Huge thanks to Erzengel for that one! Can looks simple but good. Beer in the glass dark black, small head. Intense malty stouty aroma. Starts fine malty-roasty, stouty. Wonderful chocolate notes, light hints of coffee. Mild bitter background. Finish well balanced. Nice one!
3.0Big thank you to Erzengel for this can. Pours out oily and black. Nitro. Strong foamy beige head. At first strong short ripe banana smell followed b an intensive malty choco lactose nose. Taste starts the same, with an increasing boozy offense, scratchy with sweetness and some pepper. Hard to sip. Smells way better than it tastes with this annoying pepper in the aftertaste. Weird.
3.6Black appearance. Aroma is chocolate. Flavour is chocolate, smooth and coffee.
1.9Nitro widget in a can. I think. Beautiful pour, you gotta hand it to 'em. Nose is a little volatile. Palate is at first creamy & smooth, then it goes alky, alky alky. Of course its completely flat. The way this stuff coats the glass is so intriguing. Taste is dark chocolate liquor. Thick rich liquid chocolate liquor, I think I bought something like this in the state store when I turned 21. The foamy creamy stuff stays to the end, nice presentation but that alky rude almost chocolate, but not quite frontal assault, is difficult to take. Yes, one big volatile alky blast in the face; mays well just go buy yourself some hard liquor for the same effect. WTF
3.3Dark brown pour. Sweet spicy vanilla nose. Vanilla and chili pepper taste. Surprising kick!!
4.1Plums, cocoa, new plastic nose. Black, medium creamy tan head, good retention. Charred oak, tobacco, cocoa, raisin. Medium body, creamy mouthfeel, prickly heat.
3.9Taps coffee with a thick and fine tan head that leaves heavy lacing. Aroma provides roast malt, chocolate, a hint of toffee. Flavor gives roast malt, chocolate, cocoa, pepper and toffee tones - may be a bit of coffee in there. Silky-smooth texture offers firm body and peppy fizz, and a mocha and pepper finish. Cerveza libre!
3.9Pours dark brown colour with a small beige head. Aroma of coffee and malt, taste of dark chocolate and coffee. Drunk at U Fleku, Thessaloniki.
3.7Canned. Creamy browb to black pour. Spicy chilies and milk chocolate. Pretty good stuff
3.7Nitro can from Holiday Market. Pours a pitch black with creamy tan colored head that lingers throughout. Cacao nib, milk chocolate and cinnamon aromas on the nose. Some faint cayenne as it warms. Creamy nitro texture, no carbonation. Smooth and like liquid chocolate cold brew on the palate. More milk chocolate, baker's chocolate and cinnamon with the cayenne more pronounced. Finishes a bit spicy with cayenne and lingering baker's chocolate. Would love to try a non-nitro since I'm not a big nitro fan. Still enjoyable.
3.3Pours dark brown with a tan head, very foamy and smooth, as to be expected on nitro, taste is mild chocolate upfront, bite of the Mexican chilies at the end, a little watery, tap.
3.1On tap@ BrewDogs St. Pauli. Als „Get out Claus“. Schwarzes Bier, fast keinSchaum. Röstmalzduft. Etwas Rum und Schokolade. Vielleicht ein Hauch Chili. Im Geschmack auch Röstmalz, Kaffe und Schokolade. Die Chili ist versteckt, der Zimt nicht vorhanden. Das Bier ist feige, leider!
4.0Som "get out claus" svart med beige skum, sjokolade, lett kaffe, kanel spicy, tykk munnfølelse
3.812 ounce can thanks to hershiser2. Black, thin creamy tan head. Good retention. Aroma of chocolate, roast, peppers. Taste is roast, cinnamon, dark chocolate. Medium bodied, mild lingering spice.
3.5Nitro can from wine warehouse. Pours black with a soft beige head. Aroma is milk chocolate, cocoa, coffee. Flavor is chocolate, vanilla, cocoa. Light spice, not a ton of heat but a little down the throat.
3.9black with a tan head; rich, chocolaty aroma with cinnamon notes; smooth, creamy, chocolaty flavor with some spicy cinnamon notes; some cayenne notes in the finish
