Grapefruit Infused IPA

Recipe from 2016 at 6.5%.

An American IPA with a bitter edge that will push your citrus tolerance to the brink and back; Elvis Juice is loaded with tart pithy grapefruit peel. This IPA has a caramel malt base, supporting a full frontal citrus overload - grapefruit peel piled on top of intense us aroma hops. Waves of crashing pine, orange and grapefruit round out this citrus infused IPA.

4.0 Can from HEB in Alamo Heights. Pours clear orange copper in the glass. Rio Red Grapefruit aroma with a hint of pine and generic citrus. Toasty malt flavor and definite citrus grapefruit on the palate. Overall very tasty! Will buy more fo sho...
3.2 Clear amber, cream colored head. Nose is grapefruit. Bitter with a sweet malt backbone. Sharp grapefruit aroma.
4.1 Clear, amber color, with a small head. Smells very fruity, like grapefruit. The aroma is very surprising. Can't actually name it, but is very interesting. Because of this special note, it is less drinkable, however, worth a try.
3.3 Still making it at 6.5 in 2022, this was not as tasty as I expected given the high overall scores. There is some grapefruit but not really a ton, it just has an okay flavor really.
3.9 Pisane z pamięci w celu uzupełnienia profilu. Nie pamiętam jak smakowało
2.7 Zelo dobro diši. Malenkost prevec greni.
3.9 Très bonne IPA fruitée.
3.6 From the Bottle at Chris O tasting 11/08/2016 Big fruit aroma. Golden coloured hoppy and fruity with citrus and grapefruit flavours. A hint of bitterness in the finish.
2.8 Esta é uma cerveja de cor dourada e limpida. Cerveja com travo amargo, com gás presente na boca. Pouca espuma.
3.8 The essence of summer in a refreshing can of beer! The aromas of citrus fruits are dominant, to the extent that some might consider their presence too artificial, if you get me. I found the bitterness of the grapefruit extract to integrate with the bitterness of the hops and the alcohol in such a delicate and balanced fashion. The palate is nice, though there are many IPAs that achieve a more comprehensive result in this regard. If, however, the craving is shifted to scents and aromas, then this could be a rewarding choice.
3.2 Can courtesy of Lisa. Poured hazed amber, off white head. Aroma of grapefruit zest, bitter hops, pine, musty moldy dirt. Taste was bittersweet, grapefruit, pine, little orange, grapefruit zesty rind, dry finish.
3.0 Tropical fruit aroma, gold body, thin head. Grapefruit makes its self known even though bitterness tries to steal the show. Light and likable. Picked up a sixer of Elvis @ Aldi Supermarket in Columbus, OH. Brewed close by in Winchester, OH.
3.7 Tap at Pouring Glory. Very clear orange color. Off-white foamy head. Aroma is sweet. Big grapefruit character. Sweet and juicy. Medium bitterness. Interesting.
2.5 Can from HEB in Austin, TX. Aroma is grapefruit oil, tropical juice. Taste muddle citrus, unripe orange, slightly dry peels. Pretty muddled in flavor and not very IPA-like.
3.0 Copper color with a medium white frothy head. Strong citrus, grapefruit aroma. First sip a little disappointing. Was expecting more citrus flavor. Unbalanced for an IPA.
3.4 Bottle 0.33L. Clear light orange body with an average, frothy off-white head, mostly lasting with some good lacing. Moderate-to-heavy hoppy (pine, citrus - somehow the expected grapfruit, flowers) and moderate malty (caramel, biscuit) aroma with notes of spices. Moderate-to-heavy bitter and moderate sweet flavour; long-lasting bitter finish. Medium body with oily texture, soft carbonation.
4.5 Bitter
4.2 Very solid foreign IPA.Nice tart grapefruit.Well balanced.Try as pool beer
3.7 Llauna Hopt. Carbonatació generosa, pomelo ben present, amb notes dolces i resinoses. Bona
3.3 Vyrazne grapefruitove. Chut mnam, vona zaostava
4.3 This is the best grapefruit infused ipa I’ve had to date. Definitely a go to if you’re a fanatic of the combination.
3.4 Beer with dark gold color, fuzzy aspect, some sweetness noticed, flat carbonized, good volume of foam on top (bought a 33 cl bottle of beer at "REWE Center", München, DE #1259)(#2 SCT)(#1 Grampian).
3.5 12 ounce canned sometime in 2021. Clear copper brew with a lasting film of bubbles. Aroma has grapefruit, resin, and cherry hard candy. Tastes of resin, grapefruit pith, and candi sugar. Cardboard and grapefruit hard candy in the finish. Light-plus mouthfeel with too much fizz. Dry slanted and mildly astringent.
3.5 Can. Amber with one finger head. Big grapefruit flavors. Medium bitterness. Feels like a blast from the past, this would have been something five years ago. Not bad, but IPA styles have evolved significantly.
3.7 Robe ambrée. La base est maltée, caramel. L'attaque en bouche est résineuse et sur les agrumes. Pourtant pas un grand fan de pamplemousse mais il faut avouer que cela fonctionne bien.
4.0 Molto fruttata
3.3 Like the grapefruit flavours and a little bitter. Mine was a tad like medicine, not sure if it's because I've had it in the cuboard for a while.
