3.8 Bottle. This was pretty old by the time I got to it but is was still pretty nice. The blueberries are a nice touch.
3.1 Hello there. Sänkte denna på the Rover i Göteborg. Riktigt trevlig öl och ett trevligt ställe
3.6 Amber/Red color with white short-lasting head. Aroma is sweet, fruity (red and tropical fruits, apple and peach) and hoppy. Grapefruits, hops and pine are present on the taste, with clear and strong sweet touches due to blueberry and sweet caramel. Aftertaste is between sweet and bitter, which does not persist so much.
3.7 33cl bottle shared. Pours clear amber with a small off white head. Smells of caramel, sweet fruits, ripe berries and some resinous notes. Taste starts sweet and develops super fruity (tropical fruits, berries, red oranges) with citrus peel and sweet notes. Medium hoppy dry finish. Very good.
3.8 from la Mise en Bière - pours a hazy reddish-orange beer with a moderate foam left; blueberries appear evident in front of a fair resiney and flowery hoppiness; full-bodied, a subtle yet fair carbonation, some sweetness and a late fruity sourness; a long resiney hoppy bitterness develops in the finish where the blueberries are more discrete
3.8 Hazy amber color, tons of perfumy nose blueberries in the nose. Big malty backbone with big blueberry notes. This is the biggest bad ass blueberry beer I’ve ever had. Very nice but doesn’t blow me away.
4.1 Bardzo intensywny aromat owocowy - owoce tropikalne i borówka przede wszystkim, w tle trochę cytrusów i lekki alkohol. Piana niewielka, barwa piwa bursztynowa. Warka do 9.10.’14.
4.0 (tap 0,4l @ OP (Brno)) Aroma : Grapefruit, sweet tropical fruits, berries, light toasty/biscuits/caramel. Appearance : Hazy, dark golden color. Medium white head. Taste : Medium sweet, sweet fruits, medium bitter, light alcohol. Palate : Full body. Sticky texture. Warm, long light bitter finish. Overall : Nice full, sweet, fruity DIPA.
3.4 Bottle. Pine & lime hop aroma with a fruity spicy edge. Cloudy amber , low golden foam. Melonoidin, roast, blueberries noticable but fitting right in. The spicy hops and berries make me think of flavored vodka for some reason. Medium body, a bit tinny dry on the tip of the tongue. Berry/hop aftertaste.
3.2 330ml bottle from Valhalla’s Goat. Hazy orange brown, not much head. Strong sweet syrupy hop aroma. Blueberry hop flavour. Sharp with very bitter aftertaste. Big bold blueberry DIPA.
3.1 I expected more. Tried at Ted’s Tarproom in 2014. Light mouthfeel, little aroma, and a small amount of fruit hoppiness.
3.5 Bottle at home. Some blueberry on the nose, sweet, dry, toffee, bitter, not much blueberry in the taste.
3.7 On tap in brewdog Tokyo. Faint aroma of blueberry but mainly big hop nose. Perfect colour and carbonation. Rich body. Overall solid double ipa but If I was not told I would not have picked up on the blueberries.
2.4 Light amber with white head. Nose is funky, yeast and sweet. Taste is plain bitter and watery. Where is the hops? Blueberry? Could be the age (batch 237) but not impressed at all. Way below Brewdog and Evil Twin standard.
3.4 Bottle. Clear amber beer with a large beige head. Aroma is malty with notes of caramel, citrus, peaches and pine needles. Flavor is malty with notes of caramel, spices, blueberries and peaches. Well balanced but a bit boozy.
3.2 Head as apricot-tart-cream at first, dimimishes to fragile pearl white lacings. Body is amber almost clear with copper tones. Fruity hoppy scents and fruity malts too to the nose. Fruity malty taste, with sirup-resin, fruity hops, alco-candies, but I could not find blueberries. I guess the strong abv overpowered that part. Feels nice, suitable carbonation, somewhat warming from the alco. Finishes slightly woody, dark roasted grilled malts, lots of resin still. Good brew. Beer Gift from Rune the Arctic Beer Professor, big thanks man!
3.4 Pours a hazy/cloudy amber color, with a off white head. The nose is full of citrus, malt and some berries. The taste is fruity, grapefruit and some sweet berries. Good hop flavor. Thin for a DIPA, but very nice anyway.
3.9 Bottle: Aroma of citrus, floral hops, some berries and pine. Pale amber color. Flavor is malty, cookies, caramel, berries, fruit, tropical fruits, citrus peel, pine. Resin, bitter aromatic finish. Aromatic brew.
3.6 Good looking pour, draft, not much head present, minimal lacing, dark amber color, good taste, not too bitter, slight hint of blueberry
3.6 Bottle from SB. Cloudy amber with amedium off white head. Fruity and hoppy tones. Fruit ( blueberries ), malt and hops. Medium to full body with a bitter sweet after taste.
3.8 Bottle at Patricks. Pours hazy golden with an off white head. Aroma of citrus, floral hops, some berries and pine. Flavor is sweet and fruity with some pine, peach, some alcohol and floral notes. Medium body, average carbonation.
3.9 Keg at Sussex Arms Twickenham. Malty, topical fruit, ABV gloop. Some spice. Very fragrant actually. Toffee. Mango and papaya.
3.7 Bottle. Bottle. Dark orange colour, aroma is bit stinky hop, lots of malt, booze, bit of fruit. Taste is nice, bit of fruit again, probably couldn’t pick it as blueberry, caramel malty, some sweetness, cakey. Maybe it’s lost a bit of its fruitiness, but it’s nice enough.
3.5 330ml bottle. Pours a lightly hazy deep amber, with a wite head. Hoppy, resiny aroma, orange peel, blueberries, spruce, caramel, mango, strawberries. Off-dry, medium bodied, mid to high bitterness, balanced CO2. Hoppy, fruity taste, caramel, spruce, grapefruit peel, earth, blueberries, resin, apricot. Quite light and held back for a DIPA, light blueberry notes that are quite well balanced. Quite decent, but still a bit of the usual BrewDog meh. (2014-04-18)
3.9 330ml bottle from Brewdog Online Shop: Sweet tropical fruit smells with quite a lot of hops & plenty of pine notes as well, there is some citrus as well and to a lesser extent some grapefruit as well. I could detect some berries coming through as well. Deep amber with a 1.5cm foamy, white head that reduces slightly initially then holds well after that. Sweet with a lot of bitterness and some citrus plus a plenty of hops as well. Sweeter than the nose with the blueberries making themselves more known too. Tropical fruits with pineapple, some apricot and mango all feature & it’s rounded of with a faint touch of caramel. Smooth, sweet and very bitter with a medium body and light medium carbonation. The beers alcohol content is well hidden although a few hints come through. A definite improvement from the last in the series I tried from Brewdog, Hello My Name Is Mette Marit although this one wasn’t exactly a classic either. This one was very sweet with plenty of tropical notes and some blueberries as well but it seemed to be missing that something special and wasn’t up there with the top double IPA’s that I’ve tried.
4.0 Bottle from Brewdog online shop. Clear dark orange-amber, 1cm tight white head, subtle blueberry aromas dominated by pungent citrus/grassy hops, caramel malt, grapefruit hops, some alcohol, full body, oily/slick texture, high bitterness. Really nice.
3.9 Bottle 330ml. [ As BrewDog/ Evil Twin Hello My Name is Sonja ]. Clear medium to dark orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, moderate to heavy hoppy, orange - citrus, marmelade, blueberry - berry - fruity, light tart, light citrus. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, fruity, tropical fruit, orange, dry. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20140121]
3.5 33cl bottle from Vinmonopolet. Pours clear amber with a rather small, off-white head. Fruity and hoppy aroma with pine, berries, tropical fruits, caramel and hints of citrus and herbs. Medium sweet with nice fruity and hoppy flavours, but the blueberries is hard to get, but hints of them are noticeable after a while. Decent stuff, but not a favourite.
4.2 Bottle from erzbierchof - Clear Dark golden/Orange color, beautiful white head, persistent with good lacing - Aroma is fruity, blueberry, citrusy, passion fruits, red fruits, hints of malt - flavor of blueberry, citrusy tropical fruits, malt, hints of alcohol - medium body, medium/high bitterness, sweet, good car, bitter fruity finish - Really well balanced, good malt backbone and good bitterness so good
