3.8 Bottle. Small ivory head. Chrystal clear amber. Hard hoppy aroma. Crispy, oily and dry palate. Strong, nice maltyness, bitter and extra hoppy. -- rated with beerbasher/winphone
3.3 330ml bottle. The second one I’ve had (not in a row). The first was served much warmer and I didn’t get it. I was expecting a punk ipa but with even more hops and malt to compensate. That’s not what this is. Served more chilled, this beer now makes sense. It’s a bold barley wine more than an IPA. The hops are all there, but they’re much earlier in the boil pumping up that bitterness to balance the chewyness of the malt and that double bass level boom of the alcohol note. What it lacks, I feel, are the handfuls of flame out hops to give the big bouquet. It could totally take more of a new world hop nose and hit all the high notes to match the big bottom end. It’s good, but it doesn’t quite reach great.
2.8 Aroma of malt and citrus, amber colour no head. Taste of malt and hops with a chalky feel and a mineral finish slightly bitter.
3.6 330ml bottle served in a pint glass. A: Pours a slightly cloudy amber color forming a big, creamy and persistent beige head. Good retention. Forms a lot of lingering and molasses lacings in the glass. S: Really powerful grassy and piny hops in the nose. Strong notes of caramel malts. A bit fruity and booze in the end. Alcohol is well hidden by the hoppy bouquet. T: Upfront is a slightly sweet. Strong notes of caramel malts and toffee which is followed by a strong bitterness kick. Quite dry mouth. Strong notes of piny, grassy and herbal hops. M: Medium body. Medium carbonation. Caramel and hops bitterness in the aftertaste. O: Good drinkability. Authentic American IIPA [ BA Review @ 7/1/2010 ]
3.1 "waaaay maltier than i like in an ipa or a iipa. that being said, it was in all respects a well constructed beer. tons of maris otter malt, quite sweet and a little thick=no room for any floral or citrus hops at all, but there was a little bittering balance in the finish. decent beer, but not one i’ll go back for."

4.5 This Imperial India Pale Ale rocks?hardcore! But don?t take our word for it...this little bottle has a grandiloquent story to tell. 2,204 malted Maris Otter grains gave all they had to offer the world to provide the robustly delicate toffee malt canvas for the ensuing epic. 4 Hop Cones willingly sacrificed themselves to ensure your mouth feels punished and puckering for more. 9,900,000,000 yeast cells frantically fermented their little hearts out as the sugars became alcohol in the
3.6 A beautiful scotish imperial IPA with clear amber color. Sweet fruity aroma, with sweet caramel and Strawberry tip, and a sweet-bitter finish
3.6 A hazed amber IPA with a thick frothy lacing mocha head. In aroma, nice biscuit malt with grassy and piney floral hops, barley candy, orange and fruity pulp. In mouth, a nice sweet caramel malt with light grassy floral hops, grapefruit, lingering bitterness, quite nice. Bottle from bieropholie.
0.9 Ik ben geen fan van Ipa en zal het misschien nooit worden, dit was echt niet goed vond ik
3.3 From the archive: Fruchtig-hopfiger Geruch.
4.0 From a bottle. Big fruity aroma, huge upfront sweet fruity flavour of hops punches you in the mouth with the first sip, such a massive beer, it truly is ’Hardcore’.
3.8 4/27/2012. From bottle. Amber color with a white head. Floral aromas with caramel, citrus and pine. Nice and bitter all the way with a long dry finish.
4.0 På tap melkebaren. God frisk duft av citrusfrukter og karamell. Dunkel mørk gulbrun farge. Dekkende kremet skum.
4.3 (Drinking date: 18 February 2014) The beer looks delicious: hazy amber/orange colour with a thin layer of foam. The aroma is even more delicious: a bit sweet, very fresh, fruity, especially pineapple, strawberry and a bit of lemon. The taste is bitter and sweet, pretty sweet. You also taste/feel the warmth of the alcohol. It tastes really good. The taste is also bitter enough to compensate the sweetness. It leaves a nice bitter aftertaste, with a warm feeling of the alcohol. With some IPA’s the beer is good but it leaves a nasty bitter aftertaste, but with this beer that is not the case. This beer leaves a pleasent bitterness in your mouth. The mouthfeel is also really good, a bit thick, so not too watery, which is good. The carbonation could have been a little bit more, but that doesn’t really matter. Overall I am really enjoying this beer, and it is one of the best IPA’s I have ever had. That’s why I give it the total score of 4.3! :)
4.0 Grunge-etiketti. vahva bittermäisyys ei ole niin paha. Ihan juotavaa tavaraa tämä on. Uusi lasi ja yh-iskänä 4 päivää. Edit. Oikein hyvin menee nykyään. Tarvii vaan tottua.
3.1 From notes: November 7, 2013. A: Grapefruit, pine, a bit earthy and some other tropical aromas happening as well... fairly certain I recognize the simcoe hop presence as well. A: Pours a clear deep amber color with a off-white head that thinned to a ring. T: Alcohol is overwhelming, drowning out the simcoe hops and everything else. Subtle malts try to present themselves, but just get muted. M: Medium bodied, smooth and warming. O: Alcohol was overwhelming.
4.6 Very good American style IPA double, and it’s smooth. Doesn’t hit ya in the beginning. Refreshing! Cheers!
3.4 (Backlog) Light golden in color with an average white head. Aroma is of citrus, floral and light herbs. Taste quite bitter with heavy floral notes, some citrus and light notes of cleaning fliuds.
3.6 Golden, slightly hazy, with decent foam. Fruity aroma and taste. The alcohol level can be noticed, but is well balanced by the full taste and moderate bitterness.
2.8 Nice aroma, flowery hops. Golden color with not much froth. Again flowery taste, but with good hoppyness. Nice!
0.5 nice nose, nice taste smooth, happy, fruity, apple cider Hayes, pretty damn good beer.
3.9 Almost clear deep orange copper appearance. Medium head. Pine citric aroma. Caramel. Mildly sweet. strong bitter finish. Good Imperial IPA.
4.0 Such a great beer, big step-up compared to its little sister from Brewdog. Loads of hops, although not overpowering, and not too much of that bitterness that sometimes spoils some of the other simple or double IPA. Definitely a house favorite.
3.3 Bottle - Cloudy amber with thin white head. Strong malty, fruity, and hoppy aroma. Complex full bodied stuff going on in the flavour, malty, hoppy, stewed fruits, long hoppy finish.
4.8 This was fantastic. Had with the beer geeks of Arkansas NW. Clean and crisp without being overwhelming.
3.2 Rättvisande namn. En opolerad snubbe till öl utan vidare finess. Lite för mycket kan jag tycka, men det var väl hela idén bakom denna öl?
