Keg & Bottle, Specially brewed by BrewDog’s Swedish importer at BrewDog, exclusivly for Sweden.
A double IPA with Cloudberries added to the conditioning tank. So just who is Ingrid? Perhaps she’s a reference to the Swedish silver screen icon or maybe it’s the line seemingly spoken by every other Swedish actress in films from the 60s and 70s (we know you know the ones we’re talking about). One thing is certain – this Swedish inspired Double IPA is not as innocent as she at first appears. A seductive body of rich malts and a buxom amount of Citra, Nelson Sauvin and Bramling Cross hops have been added to fresh Scandinavian cloudberries to deliver this beer’s raunchy tart finish. Designed by the readers of Swedish beer blog BeerSweden, ‘Hello, My Name is Ingrid’ is a celebration of all that is great about Sweden. It does not, however, contain any pickled herrings. Or meatballs.

3.9Flaska systembolaget. Orangegul vätska. Färsk humledoft med mycket citrus. Fyllig smak av grape, druva och citrus. Ganska diskret sötma för att vara dipa vilket jag uppskattar.
3.9Bottle from SB. Amber with a white/beige head. Lots of fruit in the aroma, pineapple, mango, cloudberry and some grass. Pretty sweet taste, mango, maple syrup and pineapple. Nice one!
3.9330 ml bottle from Systembolaget. Hazy amber with off white head. Fruity, caramel, light alcohol and a lot of fruit, berries and hoppy zest, pine and fruit. Dry with medium bitterness and medium carbonation.
3.733 cl bottle from Systembolaget - a new batch from 2016. Clear amber with a medium white head. Moderate hoppy aroma of citrus, grapefruit, pineapple, grass, floral, berries, maly caramel and bread. Taste reflects the aroma, but not as hoppy as expected by the aroma, but more cloudberrys. Medium body, with a semi-slick texture.
4.1This has now been re released. Full of tropical fruits on the aroma , with a hint of bitterness. Some fruit sweetness on the palate, but not quite as memorable as the original brew.
Re rated again , I’m getting a wider variety of fruits this time, maybe I’ve got the serving temperature right this time .
3.7330ml bottle from Brewdog shop.
Small white head, decent lacing. Clear amber body. Nose is berries, pine, menthol, caramel. Flavour is caramel biscuit, pine, berries. A little tartness on the finish, light bitterness. Good mouthfeel, light carbonation, good bit of chew. Doesn’t hide its strength, lots of flavour and body.
4.0Appearance- deep amber, almost ruby, a half-finger off-white head. Aroma- lots of fresh hops, orange and pineapple, pithy fruit, grapefruit. Taste- juicy fruit, orange, tropical fruit juice, grapefruit and pineapple, good malt base, sweet fruit, sticky and slightly boozy, chewy finish. Very nice.
4.1330ml bottle from Brewdog online shop (£2.95):
Nice stuff from Brewdog, I can see what all the fuss was about when this one was first released back in 2011. Starting with quite a fruity taste that was loaded with pine & grapefruit hops but still seemed fairly juicy & fresh; there was a nice bitterness to proceedings & the alcohol content remained well hidden. Not an all-time best from the brewery but it is a pretty nice beer & one that I’d happily go back to again were it to find itself as a regular offering from the brewery.
3.7Bottle. Amber body with white head Aroma is fruity with some malts. Taste is fruity with some malts. Aftertaste is nice balanced.
3.7Pours a clear amber with a thin head. Aroma of pineapple and mango with some malts coming through in the taste. Taste also has a the alcohol quite prominent.
3.4Not too sugary, alcohol well hidden, happy about the exclusion of piney hops. Pleasant, not too bitter, but nothing exceptional.
3.4Keg @ BrewDog, Kungsholmen. Clear amber, small lacing white head. Sweet caramel malty aroma with resinous hops and earthy notes. Smooth mouthfeel, full bodied, medium carbonated. Sweet caramel and toffee taste, resinous and earthy. Finish with pine bitterness, fairly dry.,
4.1On tap at Brew Dog Sodermalm. Pours a copper Amber. Very hoppy but smooth. Strong but well balanced. Really good.
2.8Brewdog Södermalm. Smell of hops. Amber colour, beige head. Aroma of hops, grass, straw. Cloudberry realöy has to be hunted for. Bitter. Basic good DIPA, but not the specialty it attempts to be.
3.8She’s back.... 1/2 at BD Edinburgh Brewdog showcase. Pours copper, thin off white lacy head. Pine and toffee nose. I remember the old Ingrid being dry and quite tart. This us fuller, subtler and I think better. Slightly resiny, malty, a hint of fruit, but also a nice balance of bitter, sweet and booze. It’s not your typical imperial but it’s tasty.
3.5Keg at Brewdog Shepherds Bush, London. A hazy golden/amber coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Hoppy, citrus, pine aroma. Tastes similar, hoppy, citrus, pine, hint of caramel and some tropical fruit, slightly bitter. Decent enough but would have liked it a little sweeter.
3.7Pours copper with a thin head. Aroma is pineapple and mango. You can really taste the alcohol, lots of sweet malt.
3.3On tap at Brewdog Shepherds Bush. Aroma is surprisingly subdued for an imperial, but nothing is held back with the taste. Plenty of caramel with fruity, almost tart, berries up front, a lingering sweetness and then a small bitter note left to savour.
3.7Keg at Brewdog Edinburgh. Pours clear copper red. Nose is resinous hops, citrus, pine, berries, fruits. Taste is bittersweet, berries, pine, solid.
3.5Pours clear amber golden with good off white head. Aromas of bitter pine hops and malt with hint of orange. Fine bubbles and good mouth feel. Taste is fruity, hard to pinpoint but close to passion fruit crossed with cherry. Medium bitter finish. Dangerously drinkable for an imperial ipa
3.7Citric flavours, unripe peaches, lemon, some tropical fruits coming up, mango, some alcohol. Slightly hazy gold, small, creamy, white head. Light bitter. Intense citrus fruits, zesty lemon, grapefruit, some pine, sweet berry fruits, bitter finish. Nice IIPA, good citrus flours throughout. Keg at BrewDog, Soho.
3.51/3 pint at Dundee pours a clear orange with some creamy, ringing white head. Nose has a blend of citrus and a little under ripe berry, tangerine and guava, a little marmalade, honey, perfume too. Flavor actually lets down a bit, sweet with honey and tropical fruit, a little white grape, some tangerine, an odd spruce note hits the back of the throat. Finishes sticky, sweet and slightly bitter.
4.0The cloudberries is the only special thing about this beer but boy does it deliver. The aroma hits it off with a nice portion of cloudberries (hjortron, as it’s called in Sweden). You have a nice malt base and the hops bring this earthy bitterness to the taste, which once again have a nice presence of "hjortron". A very smooth, light bitter finish. Great beer!
3.8Tap. Aroma - definitely cloudberries, citruses, pine. Taste - a lot of different tastes, citruses, tropical fruits, pines, cloudberries, a bit spicy. Overall really good beer.
4.1For s light fresh crisp session ipa this is super fruity and really nice. Will buy again.
3.5Gammal lagrad flaska. Bärnstensfärgad med stort vitt skum. Tydlig doft av hjortron. Maltig smak med hjortron.
3.2Pours clear Amber with a firm white head. The cloudberry is definitely there and it dominates the aroma and the taste. A light bitter finish.
3.9Vintage bottle from trade with siranselm - many thanks, Marcus! The beer has got a hazy orange-amber colour with a steady, low head and smooth body. Aroma of citrus, hops and pine. Taste of fresh hops, mandarinas, citric, pine, herbs and light unripe berries. Dry finish with a gentle bitterness. Fruity and hoppy. Absolutely delicious and quaffable. Enjoyed it a lot.
3.6How: Bottle Appearance: orange color, small head. Aroma: tropical fruits, berries, grapes, hay. Palate: Medium body, average carbonation.
