3.7 May 2017 – Keg at Brewdog Shepherd’s Bush as ’BrewDog Hops Kill ?’, 7.8%. Used to be called ’Hops Kill Nazis’. Dark reddy, opaque, foamy light brown head, dotted lacing. Aroma is strawberry boiled sweets, general boiled sweets. Body is smooth and rounded with soft carbonation. Taste is medicinal dental rinse and washing up liquid, something like calpol, straw, lime, potent hops and some sweetness giving a sherbety vibe, some spearmint. The aroma is quite simple and syrupy but the flavour is all kinds of interesting. Pretty nice. (3.7)
3.8 Flaske 0.33L. (Gamle notater)Farge mørk rødbrun med lys beige skum. Lukt humle, malt. Smak humle, sitrus, frukt, malt. Balansert bitterhet, noe tørr i avslutningen
3.6 From old notes. From tap at Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2012. Amber red color with beige head. Hoppy and malty aroma, citrus fruits, grapefruit, pine, caramel. Sweet and bitter taste like aroma. Medium oily body with soft carbonation
3.7 Bottle at home. Pours amber, nose and taste are sweet sticky toffee, dry bitterness.
3.9 When I had this back in 2011 I thought it was a IPA Red Ale. It was bitter and yet like caramelized brown sugar with a full on hop loveliness. Well, that’s what I said on Untappd way back then. Not sure if this has become some other beer since.
3.7 Bottles from Brewdog online shop. Memory banks rate. More brown than red. Big toffee malt character, big pine and resin hops. Taste brings citrus bitterness and nuts. Bitter finish. Good.
3.8 Dark plummy smell in the bottle and as it warms up it gains an appetising brown sugar quality. Deep Indian red in colour it initially forms a loose tan head when poured but this thins in time despite giving some consistent complex lacing. Pleasant dusty dusky elements leading to a dryness beyong anything even martini like. Could do with more refinement but real individuality and complexity and the elements have really be brought together with some skill. Very good. Would probably drink it even if it was dispensed from the mouth of a wall mounted stag’s head. I wouldn’t even ask for a glass.
3.4 Brewdog. hops kill.
3.9 330 ml bottle, rated from backlog. Aroma with loads of hops, malt and caramel. Tastes of bread, pine and biscuits, strong flavor profile.
3.0 Bottle. Nice dark red body. Very fine large pale brown head. Sweet malty aroma. Quite heavy malty flavour, with some bitterness. A tad alcohol flavour. A little too sweet. (At home, 22.03.2013)
3.8 Bottle. Amber colour with a beige head. Aroma is hop, peach, malt, caramel, grapefruit, pine, citrus. Flavour is hop, peaches, alcohol, pine, malt, caramel, grapefruit, citrus. Full body. Nice beer.
4.0 Aroma incrível, sabor agradável. Vale a pena experimentar. uma cerveja para relaxar.
3.5 330ml bottle from Brewdog online store. Reddish dark brown amber colour, thin off-white foam head and hoppy pine orangey caramel malt aroma. Initial taste is caramel, biscuit with some bitterness and a hit of resiny pine, orange rind, grapefruit hop flavour, then a warming lingering deep malty (sweetish) bitter finish. Medium body and carbonation. Quite drinkable.
3.6 0,33 l bottle, Bierbeer, Bp. Bought two month ago. Poured deep amber with a creamy tan head. Smells of cocoa, resiny hop, overriped cheese, some honey and caramel. Oily mouthfeel, cocoa and caramel in the flavor, honey and resin, pepper and herbs, hop cones.
4.3 Bottle from BrewDog website. A dark red-brown beer with sweet red fruity and caramel flavours, almond spicy floral hoppy notes and a creamy slight liquorice finish. Superb!
2.9 0.33 bottle at Underbar. Brown with a red tone, medium offwhite head. Aroma of wet hay, perfume and hops. Caramel, hops and slighty roasted falvours. Medium body.
3.8 Bottle shared by ygtbsm94. Thanks Brad. The beer appears dark ruby hued with an inch of soapy beige head. The aroma brings a big bouquet of hops among a robust malt profile. Malt emerges more as the beer warms. Bread, pine, toast, biscuits. One of the tastier beers I have had from BrewDog. Medium bodied with solid carbonation. I would definitely have this again. 4.0 Postupně sem budu doplňopvat piva, co jsem vypil a zapsal si, chvilku to asi bude trvat a proto k těm dříve vypitým pivům nebudou žádné "dojmy"
