2015 IPA is Dead series. Often used as a combination hop for American Pale Ales and IPA’s, Chinook can really shine when left to front a beer on its own. The main reason for this is that it’s thunderously piney, with a fistful of spice kicked up in your face as you lie on the beach. A true heavyweight of the brewing industry.

3.8Tap at Kulovy Blesk. Clear amber color with thick off-white head. Nice hoppy aroma with citrus, zest, pines. Nice citrus hoppy taste, with solid caramel malty backbone. Long hoppy bitter finish.
3.4Tap at Kulovy blesk. Quite good SHIPA, slightly too much caramel and grassy spicy hoppiness. Not bad but not stellar either.
3.9Bottle - Slight hazy orange colour, medium white head, good retention and lacing. Pine and grapefruit aromas, some fresh grassy notes and lemon zest. Taste is resinous, grapefruit, tangerine, some caramel and biscuit. Medium body and carbonation, long hoppy finish. Fine IPA.
3.8Drinking this series - this is my first of the year! Burnt gold with a thinnish white head. Nose is very standard brewdog hoppiness. Grapefruit bomb! Taste is grapefruits, a warm caramel, with a bitter sting. Very very tasty! Long lasting, zingy and warm.

3.6Pale gold pour with a thin white head. Pine, grapefruit and malt on the nose. Grapefruit, some tropical fruit, malt, a little sweet; not a huge amount of bitterness but it lingers for a while. Not bad.
4.1Always love chinook - great herbal flavour - so much better than the pioneer!
3.4330mL bottle that pours a clear golden hue with a small white head. Certainly has that piney citrus spice aroma chinook is well know for. More of a grassey resinous pine in the flavour.

4.2Bottle from Beer Cartel 290915. There is a truckload of piney aroma in the beer - it fills the nose and almost takes you breath away. Strong finish and a good solid body make this another good BrewDog brew.
3.5Bottle 33 cl. Pours a hazy golden with a white head. Very fresh, spice lemon in the nose. Solid malt base, good degree of fruitiness befor a solid hop backbone. 150915
3.5Colore biondo torbido, poca schiuma.
Profumo molto intenso, frutta tropicale, floreale, resinoso, leggero agrumato.
Sapore dolce di malto, poi sapori del luppolo quindi frutta tropicale, agrumi, lungo amaro non eccessivamente forte.
3.6(bottle, 33cl) Hazy, pale golden colour with a medium-sized and slightly off-white foamy head. Fruity and slightly piney hoppy aroma with notes of citrus, grapefruit, a whiff of pineapples, resin and sweat, backed by a tinge of bready malt. Moderately bitter and delicately sweet flavour, medium bodied with a modest carbonation. Dry-ish and delicately caramelly malty base with fruity and slightly resiny, grassy hops; bitter and slightly sweet malty finish with resiny and mildly fruity hops. 30.VIII.15
3.6From a 330ml bottle on 5/9/2015. Pours a hazy golden with a small head. Has a light fruity nose with a bit of lychee. Taste wise there’s sweet citrus and stone fruit (orange, mandarin and peach), a touch of biscuity malt, followed by a medium, lingering bitterness with just a hint of grapefruit in the background. The body is relatively light and the carbonation average. Not bad but a bit muted.
3.3Draft at Taps Beer Bar, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a clear light amber with a frothy white head and lots of bubbles. The aroma is big pine needle, grassy citrus. The flavour is moderate to strong bitter with a light watery resin hop palate. Medium bodied with lively carbonation.

2.7Keg, BrumDog. Slender lidded brass. Weak peach iced tea and boiled sweet nose. Lacklustre peachy wash of honey and watery throat sweet. Some dung on nose. Not feeling the love for The Dog tonight.
3.6Bottle at home. Pours golden with a small white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, hoppy, orange, pine. Taste is moderate malty, turning hoppy with some bitternes, grape, orange. Too malty.
3.8Pours gold with a small head.
Nose shows resinous pine and herbal hops along with soft clean malt.
Flavours include pine and resinous hops, spicy notes and clean malt.
3.1Bottle. Better than the pioneer, more balanced but still some salty tastes that I don’t approve of. Quite sweet and a bit oily.
3.8Bottle from Coppers, Newcastle. A bright golden beer with a thin white head. It has a rich orange marmalade and toffee flavour, malty notes followed by a smooth pine and peppery hop finish. Excellent!
3.2East of Everything ontap(7-Aug-2015)Pine orange aroma.Amber,low head&spider lace.Tropical pine flavour.Spice pine finish&floral spice aftertaste.
3.1Slight herbal hop malt aroma. Clear Amber colour fair head and lacing. Malt spices herbal flavour. Smooth lingering palate.
3.5Pours cloudy golden orange with a fluffy white head. Nose is lots of pine, I get a little fresh orange juice, definitely fragrant and spicy. Flavor is loads of pine and cedar spice, very resinous, a little biscuit, a hint of caramel. Classic American IPA flavors, god these single hop IPAs are instructive. Great flavor, but too piney to be really great on its own.
