2015 IPA is Dead Series. Supremely floral, this hugely under-rated hop is related to Galaxy and was first cultivated in the Australian state of Victoria. Initially given the same name as a certain Eurolager, their lawyers got involved and the St- prefix was dropped. Ella displays subtle notes of spice, but is fundamentally a truly floral bouquet, redolent of the Southern Hemisphere.

Taste: Medium sweet, medium bitter, light floral.
Palate: Medium body. Long, light bitter finish.
Overall: Warming.
4.0Bottle - Slight hazy orange colour, medium white head, good retention and lacing. Vigorous floral and citrus aromas, lemon zest, grass, grapefruit. Taste of tangerine, grass, orange. Medium body, average carbonation, dry floral hoppy finish. Interesting IPA, balanced.
3.4Second from this series. A lighter gold, with a haze. Thin white head. Nose is crispier than Chinook - a light lemon with a touch of grapefruit. Taste is a light lemony grapefruit biscuit. A boozy lemonade. Tasty, and light.
4.0Another high quality BD ale - very lemony - low malt impact - refreshing but two dimensional.
3.6Bottle @ home. Hazy orange colour with a small to medium sized white head. Smells hops, fresh, fruity. Tastes hoppy, fresh, fruity. Medium body, nice carbo.
3.3Poured clear golden in colour with thin white head. Beautiful floral aroma, lots of citrus spritz. Very dry and bitter in taste. Tropical fruit, grass and spice, the more i get into it the more deeper the bitter grapefruit flavour becomes. Not sure though if this hop is good enough to stand on its own though. Can be a bit rough but a decent beer none the less
3.5Pale gold pour with a thin white head. Malt, tropical fruit, spicy, floral - pretty big nose on it. Taste is sweetish, floral, but big bitter kick -lingers for a while.
3.5Backlog rating. Keg at BD Shoreditch, London. It pours a clean golden color with medium white head. Aroma is lightly fruity and tangy, with melon, grass, dried leaves and biscuit. Taste has more drying crispy bred, grass, grapefruit and melon. Medium bodied with lively carbonation. Overall, quite tasty
3.3Fresh hoppy citrus and floral aroma. Pale semi-clear liquid. Well-balanced medium sweetness followed by long lasting bitterness. Average carbonation, creamy texture. Good Hop!
3.3Bottle from Beer Cartel 071015. Whoa - very floral flavour - like drinking the water from a vase that’s held a dozen roses. Once you get through the floweriness the body is reasonably full. Nice drop.
3.3330mL bottle that pours a cloudy golden hue with a small white head. Nice citric/floral aroma with lots of citrus zest in the flavour.
3.8Colore torbido biondo, schiuma sufficiente e fine, lunga.
Buona e luppolatissima.
3.4Pours a cloudy golden colour with a white head. Aroma is malt, floral, spice, hints of fruit. Taste is light sweet leading to a moderate hop finish.
3.2Bottle 33 cl. Pours a hazy golden with a small, white head. Rather enticing fruity, juicy aroma. Body is medium, base bitterness is rather high and a bit rough. Love the aroma though. 150915
3.8Bottle from Coppers, Newcastle. Hazy golden coloured with a sweet orange and tropical fruit flavour, dry malty and biscuit notes followed by juicy fruit on the sweet finish. Very Good.
4.2From a 330ml bottle on 7/9/2015. Has a nice floral fruity hop aroma, with a fair bit of passionfruit. In the mouth, there’s some biscuity malt, sweet orange and a touch of lemon. The hops are firm, delivering a lingering resiny bitterness. Medium bodied with lively carbonation. I really liked this one - the best of the IPA Is Dead four pack by quite a margin. A beer with great balance and sophistication
3.7Pours clear Amber with a rich white head. A floral aroma with some mango and herbs. A long, powerful, herbal bitter finish.
3.4(bottle, 33cl) Cloudy, pale golden colour with a blond mid-sized foamy head. Mildly bready malty nose with notes of fruity (citrus, tangerine) and floral hops. Moderately bitter flavour, medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Dry and mildly malty base with traces of caramel in the background, accompanied by a good dash of fruity and mildly spicy and a tad flowery hops, lingering into the bitter and discreetly sweet malty finish. 30.VIII.15

2.6Pours hazy golden with small white head from Bottle. Aroma is sweet floral with some strawberry notes. Small body with very small bubbles. Some floral sweet taste but nice bitterness.
3.2Uklar orange, let skum der hænger, ikke megen duft måske lidt frisk mark, frugtig bittersmag, der bider lidt i eftersmagen
3.0How: Bottle.
Where: Systembolaget.

3.4Bottle. Semi hazy golden orange beer with a large white head. Aroma is fruity with notes of citrus, grapefruit, tropical fruit and herbs. Flavor is spicy with notes of citrus, grapefruit, herbs, earthy hops and danky hops.
3.8Golden hue with thick white head. Wood & apricot on the nose. Complex hoppy taste of lemongrass, lime & passionfruit with some good malt backbone to balance & an aptly bitter finish. An unusual hop full of flavour.

3.7A really tasty single hop ipa. As the description mentions this is a very floral, and fruity hop. Moderately bitter, with grapefruit and strawberry sweetness to it. Oily mouthfeel afterwards. Next to the Exp-366, this is one of the best from the series.
3.5Draft at Taps Beer Bar, Mont Kiara. Poured a clear light amber with a frothy white head. The aroma is grass hop, pine needle, yeast. The flavour is moderate to strong bitter with a big nettle hop, alcohol bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. The alcohol thankfully stays well in the background.
3.8Bottle at home. Pours pale golden with a white head. Aroma of tropical fruit, hops, orange peel, light perfume, malts. Citrus. Taste is tropical, hops, citrus, spice, orange. Bitter feeling with some dryness. Clean and hoppy
2.0Aroma is OK, with flowers up front with some crushed pineapples. I get a slight slight hint of soap though. Taste is at first sweet and nice but turns over to a watery sensation with an aftertaste that is herbal, but almost chemical. Very low on carbonation. I don’t know? I suspect that maybe there was something wrong with it... or, it could be that I just didn’t like it?
3.7Pours gold with a small head.
Nose shows mango, papaya, honey and passionfruit.
Flavours include sweet malt along with herbal, piny and grapefruit-like hops.
3.1Bottle. Very floral aroma as advertised, some low fruits too. Seems more bitter than the other IIDs as it is less sweet. The malt is there but less prominent, it mostly hides behind the bitterness. Not sure what I should think of this, as the aroma is quite nice.
