Brewed with 100% malt and a juggernaut of hops, our cold-conditioned Kingpin puts lager back on top! Expect the first wave of robust, full-bodied malt character to hit you, followed closely by spicy, citrus notes that charge across the palate until an assertive bitter finish wins the day.

3.3Sample at BrewDog Franklinton. Clear golden color with a medium thick white head that recedes gradually to a film. Short strings of lace. Aroma of fruit, mild hops and malt. Light-bodied with flavors of floral hops, fruit and grainy malt. The finish is mildly bitter with a short hoppy aftertaste. Decent overall.
2.7Divino Cellars can(9-Sep-18) Light sweet fruit and slight funk aroma. Cloudy amber colour, ok head and suds lacing. Light sweet fruit herbal flavour. Bitter fruit herbal finish and light funk malt herbal aftertaste.
3.231.07.2018 -- 0.33l bottle from geant casino in st louis, bb 26.04.2019. pours a hazy golden with a medium head. aroma of bread, wood, slight caramel. flavour of bread, umami, and woody hops, not too sweet. nothing outstanding, but solid and very drinkable.
2.2Into a Brewdog tulip, just on chilled. Orange amber and bright as bright. Looks still and settles so with little head and less retention. Initial DMS, vegetal nose cleans up and is followed by odd notes of tart berry, stewed rhubarb, straw, honey, pine and raw peanuts. Doughy on the palate, bready and yeasty. Light camphor. Medial bitterness. Slightly buttery showing it hasn't aged well, even in the can. Grainy malt, cereal-like is dominant. Low, flowery and stale, dried lawn-esque hops. Featherweight on the palate but heavy in the stomach. Light spritz but otherwise lifeless. Not in good form. Very tired. One for a re-rate!!! (33cL can, BB 20/08/18, The Liquor Shed, Jandakot)
4.0N.B: la mia valutazione si basa sullo stile della birra.
per essere una lager è ottima. Molto dissetante. In bocca arancia, cereali, caramello e pane tostato. Abbastanza dolce
4.1I rarely fall in love with on the first sight. But this one has me. Pouring in with a small head. Nose is bit citrus but lots of hops. I don´t mean that IPA hops, no that easy going dry hops. Taste is very dry, very easy to drink, very hoppy with super balanced carbo and a medium bitter hoppy finish. Awesome one. Maybe not that sophisticated as others but it has me.
3.4Gofd og velsmagende øl - af en særdeles kedelig øltype. Tilpas bitterhed og rimelig frisk
3.3F: medium, white, average retention.
C: deep gold, clear.
A: malty, bit citrus, floral, grassy, bit tangerine, herbal.
T: malty, herbal, sweet grassy, bit fruity, medium body and lower carbonation, not bad at all, enjoyed, 33cl bottle as from Auchan Market in Luxembourg.
3.0Decent enough lager. Crisp and malty and refreshing enough. Nothing groundbreaking though. Doesn't have the bite of a good Pilsener.
2.6On tap at Brewdog Birmingham, pours a clear pale yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out grassy hops, with some biscuity malt and light herbal notes. Flavour is along the same lines, with biscuity malt, light grass and a herbal punch. Quite herbaceous on the finish. Pretty forgettable.
3.0resin, floral, spruce, grass, citrus, herbs, light sweetness, medium sweetness, heavy cloying sweetness, lightly bitter, very bitter, lightly sour, medium sourness, heavily sour, salty, umami, light body, medium body, full body, thin feel, oily feel, fizzy, lively, astringent, bitter,
2.7330ml can. Pours an amber gold, pillowy white head. Honestly not getting the “juggernaut” of hops as described on the label. As average a lager as I’ve ever had.
2.9330ml bottle from Pop Inn, Reading. Gold / amber colour with white head. Crisp malt, citrus, biscuit cracker, light vegetable oil. Simple, crisp + refreshing, my bottle says 21st century pilsner instead of 21st century lager, not sure if these are the same beers.
2.7Keg @ BrewDog, Kungsholmen. Clear golden, medium size white head, poor lacing. Sweet grainy aroma with some metallic notes and mild grassy notes. Light to medium bodied, medium carbonation. Not too much going on in the biscuits malty, grainy, grassy. Mild bitter finish.
2.9Leicht trübes gelb, dünner schaum, im Geruch Getreide etwas honig leicht citrus, malzig getreidig ganz nette citrus Note angenehm herb, etwas enttäuschend
3.6Sehr gutes Lager. Klare, deutliche Noten von Getreide, Gras, Malz und einer leichten Zitrusnote die eine sanft herbe Bitterkeit mit sich bringt.
3.1Tap at Brewdog Lothian Road. Pours clear orange. Nose is buttery grains, citrus. Palate is buttery, but not too much, lots if grains, some citrus. Not bad.
4.0The first Brewdog beer I have actually liked and it is actually a lager hehe. Very clean and inoffensive. Is not overloaded with hops (thank goodness). Reminded me of the Budweiser that you can get on American bases which is often 5.2% so it adds a little more bite in the form of alcohol. ie it's a summer quaffing beer. Just needs to be at summer quaffing prices
3.3Aroma 6. Appearance 3. Taste 7. Palate 4. Overall 13. Hops and citrus taste, short but nice aftertaste.
3.0clear, pretty dark golden with a full white head. aroma of pils malts, grain, sweet, some corn, taste huge amount of pilsner malts, biscuit, medium bitterness, pretty sweet, dry, medium body, crisp, ok
3.1Can from Sainsburys. Light clear golden with a medium white foam head. Nose is light grassy, straw, barley grains, lightly toasted grains, slight citrus tang, dry lager yeast. Not a million miles from a Macro lager nose, but less corn and more grass. Taste is dry, very lightly grassy, straw, barley sweetness from the grains. Crisp, light and fiarly macro in profile, but no corn flavours and more overall flavour.
3.0On tap at Brewdog, Soho. Amber pour with a white head. Lots of malt, grapefruit and nuts in the nose. More of the same in the flavour. Not too bad.
2.710Feb2018 Sweet grain and bread malts, caramel, straw, bit of hay. Clear gold, tiny, creamy, white head. Light bitter. More sweet grain and bread malts, caramel, straw, cardboard, medium bodied, medium carbonation. Alright, but doesn't stand out in this boring style. Keg at BrewDog, Shepherds Bush.
2.7Well it's definitely lager but had I drank blind I would have picked as a competent effort from a major brewer. So on this basis probably needs to deliver a much improved flavour experience (which it doesn't) and I'm not sure of the relevance given the strength and standard off the Brew Dog range.
3.0Draught @ BrewDog Brighton, 52-54 Grand Parade, Brighton, East Sussex, England BN2 9QA.

3.2Bottle from Damian. Pours pale golden with small white head, aroma bit fruity, straw, some malt. Taste is flat, bit fruity, bit malt, short finish. Mediocre.
2.7Bottled 330ml. -from Geant Albertville. Yellow/golden coloured, small white head, weak herbal nose. Grassy, light herbal hoppy, touch of caramel and light citrus with dry bitter finish. Pretty mainstream and quite ordinary lager.
3.1Hokkisilla suoraan pullosta 1/2018. Well hopped but balanced tasty lager. Recommendable.
