BrewDog This. Is. Lager.

Keg & bottle: Filtered

Brewed with 100% malt, ten times the hops of most industrial lagers and cold-conditioned for five weeks, this spicy, robust Pilsner is lager reborn.

Expect a robust, full-bodied malt character on the front of the tongue, spicy citrus notes as it goes back through the palate and an assertive bitter finish with a lemon and pepper character to round things off.

3.4 pale clear , malty beginning start, some spicy hops after, sparkling, refreshing, but something is missing
3.2 Dorada amarillenta, consistentemente nebulosa. Espuma blanca duradera.
3.0 Pours pale Yellow with a white head. Aroma of pale malt, biscuit, grains and pilsner in general. The taste has some weak grassy hops, pale malt, biscuit and is just straight forward in every way. Don’t really get why Brewdog make this. I guess it’s slightly better than your regular pils.
3.0 just average overall. nothing special in the taste. it has a bitter last taste. good palate for a lager
3.1 330ml bottle from local Tesco - Aroma: grassy, slightly sweet. Appearance: clear light yellow/straw colour with very thin head. Taste: quite hoppy, slight citrus flavours. A perfectly decent pilsner.
4.2 330ml bottle. Fine aromas of hops and yeast, little bit of citrus, bread. Golden colour with white head, head is fast falling. In taste starting lighty bitter flavours, traditional of german&czech hops, at the middle and on finnish there is the same characters like in aroma. Overall: Best lager in my life! just enough bitter, but there is one thing bad-small head but its not the big problem..
1.5 At first I thought this lager was great, but three sips later and I was swallowed alive by a giant albino worm. Surely against health and safety regulations, but no he had all the paperwork. After finding my way out I had another sip and experienced that "frosty prostate" that so many of the other reviews mentioned and it shook me to my core. Two changes of underwear later and I’m bundled into a van headed for North Korea with nothing but a torch and 18 copies of the metro. Batteries were not included with the torch 3/10
3.8 Pours clear straw with a medium white head, some lacing. Pleasant noble herbal and floral aroma with light malt notes. Assertive yet round bitterness, nicely balanced light taste. Light body, medium carbonation, very drinkable. A well made and perfectly balanced subtle pilsner.
2.4 Pale yellow color, small white head. Aroma of malt, herbs, grass. Taste is malty, some herb and honey touches, slightly sourish. Who will buy this more than once? This.Is.Boring.
3.3 33cl bottle at home from Only Good Beer, Budapest. Nose is fruity, malty, pilsner. Body is clear yellow, head is medium, white, frothy, average lasting, fair lacing. Aroma is malty, fruity, grain. Light sweet, medium bitter. Finish is medium lasting hoppy medium bitter. Light body, thin texture, average carbonation. Easy, refreshing, average lager with some extra hops, nothing interesting, good though.
3.0 Piwo klarowne w kolorze slomkowo zlotym z dosc obfita biala piana ktora jednak bardzo szybko znika. W aromacie slody, troche cytrusow ale nic pozatym. W smaku wysokie wysycenie z niezbyt intensywna goryczka. Troche wodniste ale schlodzone wchodzi nawet dobrze.
3.4 Pour is very hazy lemon/straw colour with thin white head. Aroma is hints of cereal and citrus. Flavour is very light malts, citrus with a nice bitter finish with a hint of soapiness.
Erg goed bier.
3.7 4.7%ABV. Lager. Poured out gold. 4ºSRM. Nose has some sulfide in it with the funky, onion-like end of the sulfide asserting itself in the nose. There is definitely a solid cream-corn aroma in the nose. This is less sweet and more like the aroma you get with wet corn on the cob or a more local reference would be steamed corn cup. Mouthfeel is light and beery. Palate has some water biscuit, white bread, flour and wheat dough flavors, basically some solid starchy flavors. Hops are pronounced and likely aggressive on the non-hop head palate. Hops come on early near the middle end of the palate and then just continue to bloom bitterly, lingering mostly on the back of the throat accentuating a slightly soapy, tannin, resin like flavor. Finish is brief and bitter. Another very nice lager. I happened to taste this right after Green Flash’s excellent Sea to Sea Lager. Overall, this was a tasty Pilsner experience, but I’m not sure I’m sold on the idea of a lager with a Pils-like hoppy palate. Malted like a lager but hopped like a pils would be the way I would describe this one. Worth a try but a little jagged on the palate.
3.3 Pours clear pale yellow with small white head. Highly carbonated. Fresh, flavoursome, barley malt, citrus fruit. Quite bitter in the finish. Decent
3.0 I bought this beer at Amstein. I drank tonight during this nice day. It is an average lager, a bit boring but the mainest objectif is not to be thirsty again. When you pours the beer there is a white foam, yellow gold body, typical from this kind of beer. The taste is malty, watery, discreet herbal and hop notes, average.
2.8 Decent ok and easy drinkable lager. Clear golden color with a fine white head. Moderate intensity in the aroma. Medium body and an average carbonation. Ok balance between sweetness and bitterness. Malty, some grain and mellow herbal hoppy flavor. [Bottle at The Dickens Tavern in London, England]
2.9 330ml bottle. Pours a strong white head. Good retention. Some lacing. Translucent yellow in colour. Aroma was skunky with a cereal and hay notes. Standard lager carbonation. Taste is slightly floral. Decent malts. Grassy. Hops are quite tangy. Finish is peppery and piquant but short lasting. If they were aiming for a session lager then job well done. Nothing artisan here though.
2.4 Kirkas, hieman kullankeltaista hailakampi olut vaahtoaa vähäisesti.
2.5 No, not impressing me at all. Sometimes there are some dishwashing detergent flavors in the brews of BrewDog.
2.0 Pours clear golden with a frothy white head. The aroma is bog standard cereal and hay lager aroma. The taste is bog standard lager too. Wanted to try it before it’s gone... wish I hadn’t.
3.1 330ml bottle from Asda. Pours acid yellow with fine bubbles and minimal head. Aroma is spicy and floral. Aftertaste quite peppery. Mouthfeel light.
3.0 Golden color, frothy white head with good retention and lacing. Aroma has notes of hay and raw cereal. Flavor is light bready, cerealish with notes of straw. Light maltiness in the final with mild bitterness.
3.1 Aroma: floral and fruity hops. Flavour: fruity bitterness with a dry finish. Mouthfeel is slightly creamy. Colour: golden with a white head. From: Can @ Bilka Tilst Jul. 2016.
2.9 May ’16. A 0.33 l bottle that poured a clear golden body with medium sized head. Very fruity and floral aroma, especially tropical fruit and elderflower. Bread malt base. Flavor was lightly bitter and lightly sweet, again floral, fruity from hops (aromatic), grainy and bready malty with hops becoming more bitter in the finish. Interesting, but nothing too special, just an ordinary hoppy lager. Pleasant though.
3.4 Clear yellow body with a medium white head. Aroma is malty, light fruity, hoppy. Taste is light bitter. Watery texture, soft carbonation.
4.2 Bottled 4.7% Vol. Pours clear, straw colour, with a white head, which quickly disappears. Aroma of hops and malts. Flavours of malts and slight citrus. It Is Lager, but it?s a good one. :-)
