Brewer's Art Beazly

Brewer's Art Beazly

Our answer to the Belgian «devil» beers (i.e. Lucifer, Duvel, etc.). Both rich and dry, this beer is all too easy to consume in large quantities. Hopped with Styrian Goldings.

Note: Name changed from Ozzy to Beazly.

3.1 Geruch ist schwach und geht in Richtung Weizen, auch vom Geschmack her fast wie Weizenbier. Leicht süßlich, aber nicht so fruchtig, im Abgang fast ein bisschen säuerlich.
2.6 Farbe sehr hell, klar. Geruch alkoholisch. Sehr hopfig im Geschmack, die 7%kommen nicht durch. Seltsamer Beigeschmack.
3.4 In a can, as Ozzy. Clear golden pour. Cream head. Plenty of lacing. Malty aroma, notes of spice. Malty flavor with a sweet spicy note.
3.3 12 oz can as Ozzy poured into a Spiegelau tulip. Bought in late October, sat in my fridge since then. Mostly clear straw yellow with tiny bits of floating sediment, about a finger of off-white head. Aromas of herbs, spice, citrus fruit and peel. Tastes of herbs, spice, lemon citrus, some wheat, yeast, some alcohol. Medium-light body with a dry and slightly warm finish.
3.7 Canned into tulip. Pretty gold white head, Belgian sugars, fruits a nb d clean finish. 0retty good.
3.8 Can into tulip. Dark golden w thick white head. Grassy yeasty aroma. Taste is well balanced combo of initial hop bitterness w a slightly sweet malt rounding it out and making this very drinkable. Aftertaste is almost nutty? Good solid easy drinking but flavorful beer
3.5 Can at MusselBar. Inviting Amber body. Nose is hoppy and grainy. Taste nice and sharp of hops and well balanced. Some lite caramel notes.

3.0 Can via Der Sloth! Brighter yellow with a touch of haze. Bright white head with intense lacing. Nose of light yeast and some hay. Mostly smooth yeast with a late twang. Enveloped grains are barely discernable. Abrupt finish. Halfway to greatness.

3.6 12 oz. can shared by Willrunforbeers. Cloudy gold color with lasting head. Aroma is yeasty wheat, mild hints of banana, Belgian hast like but not quite. Flavor is a bigger blonde ale, body is lighter side of medium with floral notes, bready yeast, sugar and pale grain with a light black pepper in the finish. Pretty decent.
3.2 Poured from can golden color thin white lacey head. Aroma of yeast and hints of bananna.
3.6 Pours slightly hazy golden color with a 1-finger white head. Aroma of lemon with a touch of black pepper. Body is a bit fuller than medium, with a mild syrupy thickness and a dry finish. Flavor of lemon with a touch of clove. Light note of malt sweetness beneath.
3.3 12oz can from a fantasy baseball leaguer. Pours a cloudy pale orange with a decent white head. Aroma of fruit, florals, and spice. Taste is lemons, yeast, strawberries, florals, malt, and spice. Crisp and semi-tart. Very soft. Nice.
3.2 Draft sampler. Clear gold with moderate white head. Belgian yeast, banana, clove, coriander. Predictable and average.
3.4 Courtesy of lukin013 Can: The aroma consists of moderate candi sugar, light-moderatebanana, light apple, Belgian yeast, and a touch of spice. It pours a transparent golden-orange with a three finger white head that leaves behind a lot of very fine webbing on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with light-moderate candi sugar and light citrus. There is some light-moderate banana, bubblegum, and Belgian yeast in the middle. The finish has light apple, candied orange, orange peel, spice, and very faint alcohol. It’s medium bodied with moderate carbonation.
3.7 Nice. Yellow orange pour thin white head. Clove Belgian yeast aroma. Some lemon spice clove little sweetness and maybe a little banana. Smooth body moderate carbonation. Can.
3.8 Can thanks to trade with mikericm! Pours a clear gold with fluffy white head that dissipates to leave moderate lace. Aroma is Belgian yeast and light spicy esters up front with a hint of pale malt on the back end. Taste is pretty much all the esters and yeast, spicy clove, banana, pepper, hint of grass. Nice and easy for the abv, good stuff.
3.5 12 oz. can given to me while on vacation. Poured into a solo cup. Pours a hazy dark gold color with a one finger white cap. Aroma is citrus based, mostly orange, with a hint of Belgian yeast. Semi sweet flavor with light candied sugar, more orange and a hint of spice. Medium bodied. Well carbonated.
2.8 Ozzy, from a can! Yeasty nose, nanners. Sherpa white head, lasting. Yeasty, metallic, bready and grainy, fruity, nanners, grain, fairly sweet. Meh. Kinda like Prince Albert eh? Can from statelineliquors. Need/want a can? BM me!
3.9 Pint on tap at Forno in Baltimore. Mostly clear orange amber with a lasting film of cream. Aroma is funky white grape and a touch of spicy honey. Tastes of earthy grape must, a touch of honey and citrus zest. Light-medium body has medium carbonation and finishes dry.
3.9 Hazy orange with white head. Aromw is funky sweet and yeasty. Taste is belgian. Yeast and spice. Enjoyable
3.7 Canned as ’Ozzy’, guess I have to get rid of it now that the name change is official, no? Nose is light and lightly sweet pale malt and citrus; sticking the nose in deeper, some mineral character with light vanilla and really nice sweet candy; some wheat. Pours cloudy yellow-golden with a rocky bright white head that laces and even legs a bit. Taste is strong malt up the middle with significant thick wheat and a little graininess; too much booze showing and it’s the hot kind, but otherwise "rich and dry" is a good descriptor. Dusty with a very good yeast contribution; there’s hay with straw and a few cobwebs, but the citrus and malt are the real winners. Fullish body, sort of a witbier on steroids as much as a good Duvel approximant.
3.0 Aroma of skunk and hay. Appearance is thin golden yellow with fizzy white head. Tastes like skunk, hay, and hops. Re-rated in 2016 from tap. Seems much better.
4.0 Had this for the first time yesterday out of a can....yes - a can! I guess I still think of PBR when I think of cans, but this was very good. Tastes nothing like anything else I can think of - sort of a mix between an IPA and a lager. Very easy to drink and very enjoyable.
3.7 Some fruit in the aroma, maybe apple, and some Belgian spice. the fruit and spice are in the flavor along with some booze. The finish is dry and easy drinking.
