3.9 On tap at Hoppy Corner, Paris-- Pours hazy amber with thin white head. Nose is fruits and honey. Aromas are sweet malt, honey, grapefruit, pine resin. Average carbonation, medium/full body. Long bitter, sweet and resinous finish.
3.7 Draught at Open Baladin Torino. Pours hazy amber with a large, rocky off-white head, long retention with good lacing. Heavy citrus and fruity hops and bitterness, medium biscuit and honey malt with a dry finish. Moderate body, light alcohol warmth and medium carbonation.
3.7 Slightly sweet white wine-like aroma, boozy with some dank hops added in. Very dark for the style, a reddish brown color with a beige head. Sharp palate with a long lasting aftertaste. Bonus points for being unique. Definitely worth a try.
3.8 Bottle. Color: Orangish golden, off white head. Taste: Strongly bitter, notes of citrus, ananas and grapefruit. Clearly noticeable high alcohol percentage. Bit boozy citrus hopbitter long lasting finish. Just as am imperial IPA should be.
3.5 Bottle 33 cl. from The Beers, Burgas, Bulgaria. Orange, hazy with a medium white head. Aroma of hoppines, annanas and citrus. Light bitter with a long hop end.
Bardziej nuty podobne do barley wine, lekki miód, zboże. W końcu to 9,5%. Ciało takie że nie jeden barley wine by pozazdrościł. Alkohol jest wyczuwalny, mocno grzeje w gardło i oblepia usta. Niskie wysycenie.
3.7 33 cl. no bottling date. Lightly hazy copper with a creamy film on top. Nose of orange toffee, white pepper and toasted nut. Flavors of sourish orange, toffee, mildly peppery citrus zest, bread and a touch of chocolate. Medium-plus bodied with a good balance and a smooth low-medium carbonation. Sadly this seems to be another years old Shelton Brothers import which is ok for most brews but not IPAs and DIPAs.
3.7 Jasno-pomarańczowe, trochę mętne. W zapachu sporo chmielu, mocno wyczuwalne owoce, głównie cytrusy, tropiki w tle, do tego nuty ziołowe. W smaku dość mocno goryczkowe, ale w przyjemny sposób, trochę cytrusów i ziołowości.
3.0 (bottle) Aroma:resin,tropic fruits,some booziness. Appearance:orange color,quite clear ,small head, Taste:dry,flavour of grapefruits,resin and citrus fruits. Palate:medium body,low carboantion.a bit boozy, Overall: Ok-ish,at least has no off-flavours.
3.5 Sample at Tap House. Fruits, resins. Flawless. A little bit caramel. Correct.
4.0 330ml bottle. Found bottle with more than year old BB (30 08 2015)! Hazy reddish-orange beer with light yellowish medium sized head. Lots of sweet tropical fruits, very juicy aroma. Taste is fruit syrup - mango, grapefruit, pineapple, peach, very juicy. Finish is more bitterish and dry, lots of tannins, some alcohol. Sticky and resinous texture, full bodied, medium carbonated. Amazing, how interesting this Imperial IPA is after some ageing compared to other same style beers.
4.0 On tap at Bir&Fud, Rome. Pours hazy orange with medium dense white head. Nice hoppy and fruity aroma. Tropical fruit, pine, apricot, malty, caramel, sweet with strong bitter finish. Medium bodied. Nice.
3.4 From crowler. Pours a pretty clear orange with a small head. Smells flowery and lightly herbal with tones of caramel malt. The taste has a fairly malty backbone with only mild hop flavours. Slightly bitter and malty aftertaste.
3.8 Peu de mousse. Nez fruité, raisins mûrs, vieille vigne, notes de litchi. En bouche amertume, plutôt rond et fruité. (raisin). Finale sur l’amertume. Pas mal. Frais.
3.7 33cl bottle at De Cervesia, Lucca on 20-Aug-2016. Hazy dark amber with a thin off-white head. Aroma of citrus, malt and hops. Medium body and soft/medium carbonation. Grapefruit, oranges, caramel and juicy hops. Medium bitterness and a dry finush. A really good imperial IPA.
4.5 Pours hazy amber with a thin white head. Good lacing. Stong hoppy aroma of tropical fruits, pine and citrus. Taste is dominated by the hops as well. Medium body, strong hoppiness, low carbonation, booze well hidden. Lovely.
3.6 about one month before its bbd; aromas of orange marmelade, slightly roasted coconut, pine and some alcohol fumes, tastes very sweet, almost sirupy, with a lot of orange marmelade and a orange liqueur alcohol presence, some pinier aspects in the background, moderately bitter finish. Nice dessert beer, will drink it again when fresher.
3.4 Surprisingly little aroma, what little there is is yeast and grapefruit. Pours golden with a relatively small and frothy head. Lovely crisp and bitter flavours of grapefruit and citrus. Long after taste. I enjoy this.
3.5 Bottle 0.33l from Melger’s Wijn en Dranken Haarlem Netherlands.15.03.2016.Pour it dark orange color with small white head.Aroma of orange zest, some pine.Taste starts with orange and peach, alcohol quite present, heavy feel, sweet on the back, smooth texture, some grassy after taste.
3.5 Tap@Taphouse, Copenhagen - golden orange pour with white head. Medium sweet malty and hoppy aroma and taste, some nice peachy and grapefruit, a splash of citrus, floral and herbal hoppy nuances into the finish. Nice.
3.4 Hazy and copper beer. Minimal head. Very thick aroma of ripe peaches and nectarines. No sweetness whatsoever. Lots of hops but no harshness. Surprisingly easy to drink. Quite grape fruity and a little alcoholic. This is a good DIPA but I prefer a bit fruitier, sweeter and complex IPAs. Very solid though.
3.5 Aromat chmielowy, średnio intensywny, słodkie owoce tropikalne, karmel. Barwa bursztynowa, mętne. Piana drobna, niska, średnio trwała, delikatny lacing. Piwo raczej słodkie, intensywnie sosnowe, są cytrusy, karmel, odczuwalny alkohol. Goryczka średnia, w stronę wysokiej, trawiasta. Wysycenie niskie. Piwo fajnie nachmielone, przeszkadza troszkę alkohol, całkiem dobra IIPA.
3.2 Bottle at home. Pours amber color, small white head. Aroma is citrusy, mango, orange, malty. Taste is sweet, medium bitter, orange, mango, papaya, malty backbone, alcohol is present.
3.6 Bottle. Amber color with medium white head. Aroma has caramel, tropical fruits and wood. Taste is bitter with long fruity but dry aftertaste. Flavors of malt, grapefruit, pine and some alcohol warmth.
3.7 Bottle at Broer & Zus, Beverwijk. Pours amber with a small white head. Floral hoppy aroma, light spicy, malts, caramel. Taste is moderate to heavy sweet, moderate bitter, floral hops, sweet malts, caramel. Sweet hoppy aftertaste. Not bad.
3.4 Bottle. Aroma of grass, grain and citrus. Taste of caramel, citrus, grain and some peach. Allright. Bit old.
3.8 Superbe !
