3.5 Colore nero, schiuma fine e poco persistente. Aromi erbacei, pompelmo e lieve liquirizia.
3.6 Tap at BrewDog Roma. Black with tan head. Chocolate and coffee malty opener. Quite sticky and oily texture. Citrussy bitter ending. Really solid example of this style.
Ruikt moutig, melkachtig, citrusfruitig. Smaakt bitterzoet, maar meer bitter. Citrusfruitig met een choco invloed.Lange bittere, beetje asperine achtige nasmaak.
4.2 On tap at Hoppy Corner, Paris-- Pours deep black with medium tan head. Nose is roasted malt and fresh hop. Aromas are roasted malt, coffee, caramel, fresh hops, red fruits. Average carbonation, medium body. Long bitter roasted and caramel finish:
3.4 Tap @ Fermentoren, Aarhus. Pours pitch black with a small fluffy brownish head. Aromas of sweet dark fruits, light hops, roasty malts, light stone fruity and citrussy. Taste is sweet, malty, light roasty, dark fruits, citrus, subtle bitterness.
3.4 Aroma: roasted sunflowers, chocolate, herbal and pine notes. Appearance: black color and creamy head. Taste: medium pine bitterness, roasted dark malts, chocolate, herbs,semi-dry. Palate: medium body and medium carbonation. Overall: Rather FES than Black IPA, but still nice enough.
3.5 Belgian IPA kind of Aroma. first impression of herbal taste. second is malty. this is honey sweetness.
3.5 Arme caramel et houblonn. Pas de mousse et noire. Plutt amre. Bire lourde.
3.4 On tap at Vrteška 2017, shared with Višnja 666! Dark brown, small tan head. Medium hopped, herbal. Dark malts. Light hoppy bitterness. Mild and nutty malt flavors. Smooth texture, medium body, soft carbonation, moderate lasting dry finish. Lighter version (!).
3.6 (Bottle) Almost black colour with big, frothy, beige head, leaving traces of lacing. Malty, hoppy nose with notes of black rye bread, liquorice fudge, chocolate, orange peel and a touch of mint. Malty, roasted, hoppy taste with black rye bread, coffee, treacle, chocolate, orange peel, liquorice, grapefruit and a balanced citric/piney bitterness in the finish. More than medium body, soft and rounded mouthfeel. A touch of sweetness. Tasty and well balanced. Nice one.
3.7 Tap at Vrteška. Almost pitch black, almost no head. Orange and caramel in the aroma, peachy, fresh, solid altiness. Interesting taste... solid hoppiness, green fruit, herbal notes, dried figs, caramel. Interesting, drinkable, different. And some more descriptors I can’t decypher. What’s sure is that I definitely liked it.
3.7 Bottle. It pours jet black with a beige head. The aroma is spicy and citrusy hoppy with light roasted and licorice notes. Bitter roasted flavor with pine and citrus hops. Resin and light licorice.
3.7 2Apr2017 Dark, lightly toasted malts, fruity, bittersweet citrus fruits, grapefruit. Black, small, creamy, beige head. More dark malts, citrusy hops, some coffee, light pine, chocolate, soft carbonation, medium bodied. Very nice Black IPA, well-balanced. Keg at The Italian Job, Chiswick. 25Apr2018 Floral hops, dark toasted malts, burnt toast, dark chocolate, cacao. Hazy, very dark brown, medium, creamy, beige head. Light bitter. More dark toasted malts, bitter, burnt toast, straw, charcoal, soft carbonation, medium bodied. Keg at King Grizzly, Florence.
3.7 Aroma: hops, fruits, tropical, chocolate, caramel. Appearance: black with brown head. Taste: burnt malt, hops, sweetness, in finish medium bitterness. Palate: smooth, medium body, medium carbonation.
3.4 Bottle, pours black with an off white head. Lots of pineapple and spruce, light roast, perhaps more like toast, coffee and light buttery notes. Fairly sweet, somewhat sticky and low carbonation. Not bad, but kinda boring.
Butelka do 30.12.2016
3.8 Tap@pudel. Opaque black color with tanned head. Aroma has roasted malt, citrus, grass. Taste is malty with long bitter aftertaste. Flavors of roasted malt, citrus, caramel and grassy hops.
3.3 Tap. Pours very dark brown with tan head. Aroma has dark caramel, toasted malt, hops with pine and some fruityness from the yeast. Taste is malty with some roasted malts and is fruity with blackcurrant yet hoppy with pine. Finish is balanced roasted and dry bitter.
3.6 Pours black with tan head. Smooth, roasted, lightly hopped. Medium body. Nicely balanced.
3.7 Pours black, tan creamy head. Aroma is hoppy, pine, slightly roasted. Taste is hoppy, licorice, roasted.
3.1 At taphouse. Clear brown small light brown head. Mild malty and hoppy aroma.flabor is slightly fruity somewhat hoppy and malty.
3.7 Prezentacja: czarne, ładna zbita piana osiada do warstewki, bardzo ładnie koronkuje; Aromat: bardzo dziwny - wyraźnie lukrecja, trochę sos sojowy; Odczucie: ciało niskie, średnio nasycone, o goryczkowym finiszu; Smak: rum, cukier trzcinowy, cola, rodzynka, silna krótka palona goryczka; Ogólnie: taki raczej imperialny nachmielony porter, niezły z resztą, świetnie ukryty alkohol.
4.5 Black with a thin beige head. Good lacing. Aroma of roasted malts, caramel, tropical fruit hoppiness. Taste is fruity at first, mango and tropical fruits, then roasty, smokey, some coffee and chocolate. Sticky in the lips, medium bodied and generally a fantastic ale.
4.3 Quasi nera, schiuma beige di media persistenza piuttosto compatta. Ottima Black Ipa.
4.3 Bottle bbe 28.02.2016. Intense aroma of pine, plum, chocolate and caramel sweetness. Taste roasty malts, bitter chocolate and coffee balanced with a nice caramel malt body. Long lasting roasty bitterness. This Black IPA tastes almost like a Barley Wine with a roasty streak and a bitter chocolaty punch.
3.6 Tap@ taphouse. Small fizzy head that mostly disappeared. Aroma of pine, peach, grape. Over the palate came roasted malt, light notes of caramel. Medium body. Moderated bitter favour with some counter sweetness. Nice bitter finish.
3.7 Malt and hops in aroma. Caramel and pine. Pours black with very small tan head. Bitter taste, grapefruit with tones of coffee. Full body, slick with soft carbonation. Long finish. I enjoyed this.
