A true Winter Warmer made in homage of the season: Full-bodied and rich, deep amber in color, crowned with a creamy head, and finished with a mild bitter flush.

3.4Poured from 12 oz bottle into tulip. Darkish red brown, with a khaki head. Sweet malty nose; taste is mostly malt, subtle bitterness. Malty caramel finish.
3.5Bready caramel aroma, nutty with earthy hops
Pours a cloudy burnt sienna color with small disappearing head
Bready flavor with earthy floral hops. Carmel
Medium bodied medium co2, sweet bready finish
Pretty simple brew but I really like the way everything blends together. I can see myself drinking a few of these.
2.9Dark copper color. Malt up front. Spices in the flavor. Nicely carbonated. Middle is slight bitter. Clove and nutmeg. More crisp and dry of a winter warmer with lower abv which is not apparent.
3.212oz bottle in Seattle. Hazed amber red pour with foamy head. Somewhat spiced malt aroma with grain and spice body. Banana bread. Middle range ’winter’ ale, on the lighter side with some soapy hops and alc. Not great but perfectly drinkable.
1.8Bottled: unk
A: diaphanous rusty copper ale with a sheet of off-white centralized cap. Spot lace.
S: some spice, some metal, some pizza sauce smells. Weird.
T: Some acetone and acetyl notes with sweet and vegetal flavors.
M: Moderate body and hi carb. Slick finish.
O: No thanks.

3.3Pours dark red/brown and leaves the same colored body with a two finger foamy white head that rises a bit and falls at a nice pace but ends up creating a nice soapy looking valley with a ton of speckled foamy lacing all over the place (nice show); the smell is full of malty breadiness up front, light raisin and molasses enter in the background with some extra dark fruitiness entering in the aroma; the taste has caramel and sweet breadyiness with some added earthy orange and nutmeg; sweet sticky caramel aftertaste; sweet dry finish; its pretty easy on the palate for being a darker Winter Warmer, carbonation is pretty smooth and good for the style and for me; overall not bad for a darker Winter Warmer as I’m usually not that into the darker ones of this style, however I would definitely take this one over most of the darker winter warmers
3.1On tap at brewpub. Dirty dark amber with a beige head. Up front maltiness and then sorta becomes plain and grainy. Easy to drink, mild carbonation, moderate body, caramel, little sweet at first and finishes with a bittersweet note.
3.012 oz bottle from Evergreen Discount into my NBB globe glass. Deep amber and slightly hazy with a nice off-white head. The nose is toasted malts, nutty, caramel, light roast, bitter hops and a touch of spice. Similar flavor, pretty mild and easy to drink, not a ton going on. Average body with a creamy feel, soft carbonation and crisp, clean, light bitter finish.
3.3Pours a reddish color with a large puffy taupe head. Notes of melon skin, biscuits, toffee, red fruit, and soy.
3.0Draft at Murphy and sons. Tons of head on dark body. Carmel earthy aroma. Taste is somewhat bland. Not strong. Just not much going on I can distinguish. Not bad not good
3.3On tap at Tapwerks. Pours a clear amber red with a tan head that dissipates to the edges and laces. Aroma has notes of sweet grain and caramel with hints of earthy grain and biscuit. Flavor is similar with sweet grain and light caramel throughout with backing notes of biscuit and grass.
3.4Reddish-brown pour with a thin, tan head. The aroma is somewhat spicy with earthy notes as well. It has a full body with thick texture and lively carbonation. The taste is bitter and slightly roasted with a dry finish.
3.2a nice start but iffy finish. kind of light taste. subtle fruit notes. distant like a dream. I’m watching the expendables sequel as I sip this.
3.2Enjoyed on tap at the Bottom Lounge in Chicago, IL prior to seeing the band Surfer Blood. I didn’t take tasting notes while enjoying this, but I remember this being a lightly spiced, slightly malty ale that went down nice and easy. Definite caramel notes, just a decent brew.
3.5Aroma is mint, light pine and fruit. The flavor is caramel, complex fruit, spices, a small hint of vegetables and a tart and dry finish.
3.212oz bottle. Murky amber-brown body. Foamy off-white head. Toffee, amber malt tones, some Christmas fruitcake/wassail action. It’s not really a great beer by any mean, but it manages to approximate the style well enough. Rich and malty, a spiced ESB.
3.0Sweet, slight metal, bready malt, caramel, light spice. It is a decent brew but very metallic to me.
3.0Murky Brown, Huge Head, Lots of Lacing. Moderately Sweet Malt, Light Pine aftertaste that does not last long. When you think of a winter brew, this one is too thin and not sweet enough to be one. Nevertheless a decent brew that I’ve enjoyed it this cold spring evening.
3.0A - Pours a hazy dark orange brown. 1 finger of tan head.
S - Dark malts, candied oranges, faint cinnamon apple. Unkown fruits. I had to really try and find anything in the nose. Overall the aroma was pretty subdued.
T - Spicy wheat breadiness, a good amount of toasted toffee malt, spiced oranges, over-ripened red grapes. Good hop presence. Has a soft spice blend that I couldn’t quite pick out.
M - Moderate carbonation, light to medium body.
Nice malt flavors but a very faint nose on this one. Drinks very easy and finishes dry. Seems a bit thin for a Winter Warmer but a tasty beer nonetheless. I would get this again.

3.612oz bottle pours clear amber with copper hues and supporting a weak tan head. The aroma offers up lots of prunes and raisins and then a bit of fig like sweetness. The taste is similar as I get a raisin note that borders on peppery along with some softer prune notes in the background. To midway it picks up some candi sugar and a faint beat quality.
3.2Pours a clear ruby red with a thick, white head. It has an aroma of pine and dry-roasted, browned malt (although not too roasted/caramelised, just lightly). It tastes like alcohol and pine. I get a little bit of the dry malt taste at the end followed by bitterness, but the alcohol and pine at the beginning predominate. Not a horrible beer, and one I might drink again, but I can’t say I’d go out of my way to get it either.
3.3Pour is brown/red with a thin white head, nice lacing. Aroma of light fruits, english yeast, cloves, Earth. Flavor is fairly mild with the English yeast shining through the most - cloves, barnyard, sweet caramel. Mild hop finish, a bit watery.
3.112oz bottle to pint. Smells malty and bitter. Nice creamy persistent head. Taste follows aroma. Nice brew.
3.9Expect the unexpected with this ale. It pours a dark brown color with a long lasting head. There is a slight scent to it, but nothing that stands out. It was quite heavy for an ale while there was a slight nutty taste, very slightly bitter but finished quite smooth. A very nice find and something I would suggest to others.
3.6Amber brown color, mildly sweet, balanced malts. Not as dark or complex as the bottle description seems to indicate.
3.3(bottle) murky brown with tan head. Malt aroma. Flavor is caramel malt and some earthy hops.
2.1light smell, almost yeasty. flavor isn’t overwhelming, nor is it special. Slightly hoppy aftertaste that doesn’t linger too long afterward. Unimpressive and average
2.8On tap at O’Riley & Conway, pours a clear dark amber with pretty much no head, the aroma is sweet with a little bit of malt and just a hint of dark fruit, the flavor is pretty much like the aroma, sweet with not a lot going on, a little bit of malt in the finish, boring.
3.1It has a thin head with no lacing and a hazy, copper colored body.
The aroma is only the faint smell of hay. A bit of a disappointment.
It tastes like yeast, a barnyard, grain and with a mild bitterness.
Low carbonation and medium body.
A fair enough beer but lacking in the appearance and smell areas.
3.1Does not do what it says on the bottle. Weak aroma, very malty with a hint of hops. "...winter warmer..." I’m afraid not, the flavor is way to mild and weak for a winter ale, might be ok as a summer ale but leave it on the self during the holidays. It does have a nice label though.
