BRLO German IPA

BRLO German IPA

Bottle: Unfiltered

Our reinterpretation of the classic India Pale Ale is brewed with 100% German ingredients. Hops from the Hallertau, malt from Franconica, and Berlin water combine in a deep amber package. The addition of dark malt brings dulcet notes of caramel which are balanced out by ripe red fruit and spiced aromas from German hops Polaris, and Hüll Melon.

3.8 Pours clear amber, white lacing foam head. Nice hoppy aroma, fruit tones. Nice bitter taste, well balanced. Good. (Velp 2111)
4.0 opalescent golden to orange colour, medium sized dense yellowish ecru-ish off-white head;aroma of marmalade, peach jam, grapefruit, and pine resiny notes; well balanced bittersweet taste with the sam notes as can be felt in the aroma; good IPA
3.0 IPA tranquil’e
3.6 Bottle.Dark amber colour with medium white head.Aroma of dry hops and wet tobacco nice fruity with hint of herbs easy to drink kind of beer really nice.
4.0 330ml Bottle from REWE Supermarket, Saarburg, Germany. Aged for around 1 year. Hazy amber coloured with a thick white head of foam. It has a smooth orange and pine flavour with malt, citrus, oats and more spicy orange and pine on the almost creamy finish. Excellent!
3.2 Bottle at BRLO taproom, Berlin, 11/07/19. Almost clear golden copper with a decent off white head. Nose is orange peel, toasted malts and grains, citric kissed straw, a touch muted. Taste comprises tangerine, melon, grass, grains. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spiked with dusty hop bitterness. So so affair.
3.1 Bottle. Clear dark gold with a nice white head. Aroma of melons, red berries, Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte, perfume and a little bit of citrus fruits. Taste of melons, fruits of the forest, malts, caramel, some honey and resin. Herbal bitterness. Medium carbonation. I’m not yet really sold on the concept of an all-German IPA but perhaps the next attempt I get my hands on will have a flavour profile more suited to my taste.
3.6 Bottle picked up from a large Kaufland be Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm and consumed at home Wednesday 10th March 2021 listening to Marc Riley on 6Music playing. We have the remainder of the Chicken Parm Roll-Ups from Sunday for tea tonight. This is a lovely IPA, really good, okay it's a little bit sweet and I am not a fan of the soapy, washing up liquid aroma but putting that to one side it has a nice bitterness, pleasant maltiness, perhaps could do with a little bit more bite but, nice, really nice.
4.1 07.09.2016 AR: Mangolassi, Grapefruit, gelbe marmelade, Vanille, Karamell, leicht buttrig AP: leicht trübes bernstein/kupfer TA: leicht rauchig, fruchtig, Vanille, leicht buttrig, Butterscotch, Toffee
3.1 The beer looks great. Golden with a huge lasting head. The beer is fruity (melon) end Herbal. The typical american and English Hop taste is more medicinal. Like a pilsener but then more.
3.3 Copenhagen 26/1 2021. 33 cl bottle from Brdr. D's Vinhandel, Rolighedsvej, Frb. C. BRLO's usual design with the bear, the corn and the hops this time in a white and purple version. Pours unclear amber with a mid-sized white head. Fairly stable. Settles as thin, almost transparent layer of foam just covering the surface of the beer. Crawling up the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing. Aroma is medium intense with a prominent, sweet malty odor mingling with lighter citric notes. Sweet pale malts with a touch of caramel and toffee. Cardboard. A bit of citrus. Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, lightly tingling texture. Flavor is fairly intense with a rather strong sweetness followed by a more moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a burnt edge. Lingers for a while. Finish is dry. Quite on the malty side for an Indian Pale Ale - but not without a little bitterness in the aftertaste.
3.0 Malty Alé rather than ipa
4.1 Klassisches IPA, leicht vollmundig, wenig Zitrusnote
3.1 Aroma of intense parfumed flowers Slight hazy light amber colour with short lasting head Taste of jasmine and flowers, with bitter hops Medium carbonation with oily mouthfeel
3.2 Amber colour with white head. Smell of flowers. Taste of hops and jasmine, nice bitterness.
Goed bier.
2.8 Decent beer
4.4 Many thanks for this beer to my uncle from Essen.
2.7 Bottle 33 cl. Pours an almost clear amber with a small, lacing off-white head. Nose is caramellish with a slight hint of perfumy hops. Medium body, dry caramel notes, slightly biscuity with a bitter finish. IPA's like they were 10-15 years ago seems to be the norm for how the Germans make them. 200820
3.2 Hazy amber with an off-white head. Hoppy aroma. Taste is sweet hops with a decent bitterness.
4.1 0,33l Flasche. Leuchtendes Orange. Harziger Pinienduft. Im Geschmack viel Pinie, Harz und Blumen. Lecker.
3.5 0,33 l Flasche.
3.6 Bottle. Hazy, dark amber color, fine white head. Fruity, resinous aroma. Medium sweet taste, high bitterness. Lingering bitter, pineapple, fruity aftertaste. Low carbonation,
3.2 Beer with yellow color, fuzzy aspect, too much bitterness, soft carbonized, good volume of foam on top, (shared a 33cl bottle beer with PG, bought at "Kaufland", Neckarsulm, DE #1111)(#171 DE)(#4 Berlin).
