English: Brøckhouse India Pale Ale is a very powerful top fermented ale brewed from ordinary pilsners malt, caramel- and münchners malt. The use of specialty malts adds a bit of sweetness to the ale and hence balancing the forceful hop flavour. The ale has been brewed with three kinds of hops in order to achieve a more complex palate. These are the British Northern Brewer and Fuggles along with the American Cascade.
Brøckhouse India Pale Ale has a relatively low CO2 level not to cloak the variety of taste comportments in the ale. The ale should be served at 10-12 degrees celsius.

3.5 Bottle 50cl. Clear amber/orange colored body with nice large steady offwhite head. Nose dominated by hops and some spices. A litte "flat" body, some sweet notes and a nice bitter finish.
3.6 Bottle 0.5 l. Color hazy yellow with large white head. Aroma a bit fruity and filled with hops. Taste dry and bitter as an IPA should be. This beer was somewhat a marking of a new beginning in Dansh microbrewery. As such it sets a standard. It’s my rating no.100, although I have tasted it many times before - right from the beginning, and it still holds high standards.
3.4 Dalum, DK From tap For the original style a good example but lacks some wildness
3.5 Bottle. Pours orange/aamber with a floffy white head. Citric notes in the nose. In mouth grass, fresh fruits and nice hops. Good balance in this very fine sample of an IPA.
3.6 (Draught at Ölbaren, Copenhagen, 26 March 2008) Amber colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, citric nose with notes of orange peel and mandarin. Fruity, hoppy taste with orange peel, mandarin and hints of pine needles in the finish. Balance sweetness. Nice and very well balanced IPA.
3.0 A quite ordinary ipa. Fruity and flowery aroma, flavour is a little too straight forward hoppy and fruity with a dry but not that bitter end. One of the first ipas in Denmark, but not that innovative...
3.8 I’m very fond of this IPA, perhaps because it was the first I ever tried within this genre. It is orange with a fair head and has a fine aroma of oranges, mandarin and earth. The flavour is toned down hopwise, but has a very balanced feeling to it, with citrus and some caramel.
3.2 Fad.
2.8 Bottle. Nice head with good duration. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are malt and hops. Actually disappoingly little hops. Expected more cascade here. Too mild.
2.9 Hazy orange colour with big fluffy head.Taste is fruity and fresh with smooth mouth feels, some bitter after taste but still a mild IPA.
3.1 (50 cl bottle at 3 Små Rum, Göteborg) Sampled on February 16 - 2008. BB 07.05.08. Clear golden color, small white head. Sweet, hoppy, fruity and grainy scent. Malty and bitter taste. Medium mouthfeel, medium high bitterness.
3.2 Amber with tiny head. Fruity aroma with hoppy notes. Same goes for the flavor. Ends bitter.
3.2 50 cL bottle, at Den årlige ølsmagning i Valhal. Pours golden deep yellow to orange with dense little white head. Light fruity and mild caramel malt note. Classic ipa flavour, mild caramel malt base and solid fruity into bitter hops note too. Ends slight dry and bitter.

Dry and refreshing.
3.4 50cl bottle at the navigator bar on the cruise from Copenhagen to Oslo. I’m sick of cheap lager from duty free, and break down and drop ten bucks for a beer at the bar. Pleased to find a couple danish micros’ ranges avilable, and haven’t heard of either. The bartender says that this is better than the Skands IPA, and at this price I’ll take her word for it. Maybe it’s the slightly rough seas, but this one fizzed all over the bar when she opened it; seems pretty carbonated despite the description here (it also says 6% on the bottle, not 5.5%). Slightly hazy orange/amber body with a nice slightly orange head that laces the glass. Oily hop aroma definitely has some american as well as brittish tones too it. Pleasant. Sweet malty base with a nice juicy hop flavor, but balanced and not really bitter. Medium to lighter body with ample carbonation and a short, clean finish. I’m finding this pretty subdued for an IPA. I think I would call this a pale ale back in California, but it’s what I’ve come to expect from IPAs over here, and the good balance makes it a pleasant drink.
3.5 Bottle from Systembolaget. Clear amber with a medium fluffy white head. Bready and caramelly malt aroma with some discrete spicy grapefruit hops, along with earthy notes. Medium bodied and smooth. Some sweetness balanced by a moderate bitterness. Quite good, but a bit week for an IPA.
3.7 Bottled. Amber with a small head. Rather malty with a fine hoppiness. Not extremely bitter. Rather sweet and fruity flavour; caramelle, grapefruit. Typical Cascade.
3.1 Medium offwhite coarse head. Orange-brown body with carbonation. Light earthy aroma. Dry, crisp caramelly earthy taste with floral hoppy notes. Sweetish. Dry, faintly metallic floral aftertaste. Nice, but boring. (0.5l bottle.)
2.9 500ml bottle (Pøirotti, Helsinki, Danish Week 2007). American style IPA, not English style. Strongly hopped bitterness, but a bit one dimensional, dominated by cascade. Almost bottom-fermented thin-ness to the taste and lack of finish.
2.9 Bottle. Golden colour with a medium off-white head. Aroma of fruits & hops with an odd scent of beetroots. Flavour is initially rather soft before the hops kick in. Long finish with a good bitterness. Average body, medium carbonation.
2.8 Heavy hoppy aroma. Creamy white head. Excellent lacing. Mostly diminishing longevity. Cloudy orange body. Heavy bitter initial flavor. Medium body palate. Watery texture.
3.7 The color is copper and the head is minimal. The aroma is deliciously hoppy and the flavour has floral and hoppy notes and a bit of honey sweetness. The finish is long and the bitterness develops and changes throughout it all. A really nice IPA, even if I prefer the more brutally hopped American ones.
4.2 Perhaps the best danish beer ever, which also change the danish beer history. You must try it.
4.4 Very nice and fresh taste. Smells really good. Clear and sparkling! Comes in a nice ’old’ designed bottle.
3.6 Bottled. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is US hops and some slight honeyish notes. Flavour is honey and flowery hops. The hops in flavour is more European like IPA. Not much of an aftertaste in this one, as it cuts fast in finish.
3.4 Lime, citrus, a bit sweet flower. Pale orange colour with a small white head. Nice, mellow but balanced hoppyness. Short finish though.
3.6 Bottle at the brewery. Golden hazy colour, average white head. Quite yeasty aroma, malty, bit sour. Flavour is dry with bitter hops, sour citrus, sweet, bready. Dry, hoppy and bready finish
3.3 I might have to rerate this one. While it looked great with the amber body and the white head, it had a weird metallic sent, and the flavor from the different hobs wasnt as powerfull as i expected. Still a nice beer, but not what i had hoped for.
3.0 Bottle. Golden with a light head. Flowers, grass and hops in aroma. Flavour is fresh and light with a hoppy bitterness and some pilsner to it, which doens’t add up.
3.6 Orange, not fully opague beer. The head is not impressing, though. Very citrusy aroma, with a lot of different hop-aromas. Theres also a little tobacco in it, but the pilsener-malts can be regocnised behind all the other things, which is a shame. The flavor is citrus, tobacco and the almost biting hops. Quite refreshing IPA, with a lot of everything. The palate is full-bodied and creamy, trying to complete the beer, but still it is like theres missing something, maybe some malts.
