3.5 Bottle from the Bottle shop on Wollestraat, Brugge, Belgium. A murky dark brown coloured pour with a healthy beige head on top. Aroma of dark fruit, caramel, banana. Tastes quite similar, sweet, dark fruit, caramel, banana, spice and slight red wine.
4.0 At Daverlo, Assebroek. Pours hazy dark brown with a lasting, foamy, tan head. Intense aroma of roasted malt, nuts, brandy, dried & candied fruits, spices, caramel and port. It tastes medium caramel-like/fruity sweet and light spicy bitter, warming up to a woody and liqueur-like finish. Full body, creamy texture, fizzy carbonation. Give this to me as a nightcap every day and I'm a happy man.
3.6 F: huge, tanned, good retention. C: dark, opaque. A: malty, chocolate, light spicy, bit cinnamon, brown sugar, very tiny port wine. T: malty, coffee, chocolate, bit molasses, dried fruits, bit cocoa, bit spicy, taste is better than aroma, full body, medium carbonation, good one, enjoyed, 33cl bottle from Prik & Tik Leuven.
3.5 Deep ruby to brown, medium creamy white head. Very fruity, light vinegar, sour cherry. Dry, ash, wood, nuts. Full body, dry finish, creamy. Nice complexity.
3.8 33 cl bottle served in snifter. Poured dark hazy brown with a three finger tan head. Aroma: Dark fruit, overripe banana, spices, caramel, coffee, Port. Taste: Caramel, Port, dark fruit, overripe banana, vanilla, coffee, brown sugar, dried fruits, chocolate, spices. Frothy and silky mouthfeel, heavily carbonated. Medium body with a spicy bittersweet finish backed by the Port. Port comes more and more to the foreground when it gains room temperature and the carbonation lessens a bit. Solid quadrupel and the Port gives it a very nice touch.
3.9 33cl bottle. Hazy brown. Tall frothy head of beige. Stays. Spicy front aroma. Cinbamon. Also caramel, burnt sugar, toffee, a solventy hint, fruit & perfume. Nice. Medium to full body. Lively carnonation. Medium sweet taste follows the aromatic picture. Complex enough. Slightly harsh alco / hop bitterness at finish. Still fine
3.3 33 cl bought from supermarket. Pours hazy dark brown color with medium beige color. Aroma of caramel, raisins, brown sugar, dark fruits. Taste of roasted malt, brown sugar, caramel, light wine note. Medium body & carbonation, light sweet finish. Overall a decent Belgian beer.
3.8 Bottle @ home. Clear brown-red with a small light brown head. Aroma heavy malty (caramel, raisins, notes of cherries, chocolate and port). Flavor medium+ sweet, fruits, light port and chocolate. Medium to full body, low carbonated. Nice.
3.6 .330 bottle at home. Appearance - dark brown-red hue, medium-high brownish head. Aroma - caramel, raisins, bitter cherries, some chocolate. Palate - medium, creamy body, with low carbonation, no bitterness, medium sweetness. Taste - toasted malt, caramel, brown sugar, raisins, some wood barrel notes and a discrete wine hint. Aftertaste - medium long, sweet, with more of the dark fruits. Overall - very good beer, not to sweet and very balanced. The port finish is discrete, but it gives a good edge.

3.7 Dark brown color with ruby hues and a frothy tan head. Aroma has dried fruits like dark, bitter cherries, raisins, some yeast esters and brown sugar on top. Taste has toasted malt, some burnt sugar, dried dates, raisins, some wood barrel notes, light wine tartness, some earthy bitterness on the finish. Medium to light body, medium plus carbonation. Quite complex yet easy drinking with a well hidden ABV.
3.4 12th July 2017 Almost opaque amber beer, tidy yellowish tan head. Berries and esters on the nose. Soft airy palate, semi dry and with decent carbonation. Smooth sweetish malts. Sweet esters, trace of spice. Tangy berry fruits, red berries and dark berries. Little winey tang. Smooth finish. Not bad, quite drinkable.
3.2 Botella. Clear deep dark brown colour, medium off-white head. Sweet aroma of dark malts and dark caramel/sugar with bit vanilla and dark fruit. Sweet flavour, dark malts and caramel along with dark fruits and some citic acid to it (in a good way).
4.1 A small taste from a friend (bottle) @ One Pint Pub. Pours hazy deep brown with a medium lacy head. Aroma is sweet malts with raisins and port wine. Flavor is sweet malts, alcohol, port wine, raisins, yeast and hops. Sublime.

3.8 bottle @ home clear dark brown, brown head brown sugar, caramel, mou, alcohol, licorice, chocolate winey, walnuts, carbonation, licorice, woody
3.6 Beer fortified with port. Cherries, chocolate, blackcurrant, rye, barley. A little bitterness. A little heavy maybe. Works well with red meat.
3.8 Many thanks for this beer to Eric De Geyter. Piwo ma fajna sporawa piane, niestety szybko opada. Barwa brazowa z licznymi odcieniami czerwieni. Zapach znikomy troche Porto moze. W smaku to smaczne lekko slodkawe piwo deserowe, porto dalo tu sie odczuc dosc wyraznie, alkohol sprytnie ukryty, doskonale do deseru, a zwlaszcza do popoludniowego Tiramisu.

3.4 Bottle. Dark brown, hazy, big head. Aroma: caramel, sugary, metal notes. Taste: sweet, caramel, in the middle comes warming alcohol, some hops in the end.
3.4 Bottle from Beer Museum, Brugge, Belgium. Inky black with ruby red highlights and a huge rocky head of tan foam. It has a sweet currant, red berry and port flavour followed by vanilla and more red fruit on the sweet finish. Nice but too high ABV for the flavour.
4.1 As close to port as you can have in a beer. Thick and slick. Dark fruit, brown sugar, licorice, and alcohol. Tried with Harm and his friends in Zutphen.
4.0 9/7/16 Bottle @ Pesos, Asten. Very dark brown, beige foamy head that nicely laces. Red wine grapes, light roasted malts, some dried fruits, liquorice, leather, bitterness in the finish. Aftertaste’s short. Good body, (too) lively carbonation, dry mouthfeel. 26/12/21 rerate. Actually quite pleasant: nicely balanced vanilla red fruity wine-ish quad.
4.0 Pours dark reddish with a stable off-white head that lasts long. Fruity, oaky and vinous aroma. Clear notes of ripe fruits, sugar and yeast as well. Sounds promising. Tastewise quite smoothly sweet with good fruity notes. Strong vinous tone that lingers for long and a clear hint of raisin, red fruits and oak. Faint hint of chocolate as well. Moderately bitter near the end. Pretty creamy in texture. Moderately carbonated. Full bodied. Definitely a well brewed beer. Fairly complex and well balanced with a surprisingly great taste.
3.8 dark reddish brown colour, medium sized dense beige-ish head; aroma and taste of dried cherry, raisins, grainy and herbal notes, hints of dark chocolate, cheese and wood; I don’t know...not bad at all, but somehow still not my cup of tea
